Also, at the top of my top lip there is something that looks like skin is coming off of the inside of my lip. It's completely white and when I went to pull on my lip, it came off. My top and bottom left side of my lips are also very puffy. Usually, if it was from braces it'd be gone by now.
In the last few years I have had tiny white bumps appear on the tip of my tongue and my tongue appears swollen. In the past I have taken benadryl and that has taken care of it. They seem to come more often now. I keep up on my teeth cleanings and fillings if needed. I also suffer now from hypothyroidism due to the irradation of my thyroid due to hyperthyroidism. Could that be the cause?

On the same day evening i got some small bumps on my tip of the tongue . On the next day i got white tongue with fever of 99degree .I went to general doctor and got treatment . I was prescribed some medicine and mouth wash for 1 week. My fever was there for 4days with same 99degree on my undergoing treatment.My tongue also didnt get better . After closely to 2 weeks my white tongue increased .I have sore throat from day 15 to till date.After three weeks i went to STD SPECIALIST .
What is painful, however, are the sides of my tongue (foliate papillae?). Both sides are covered in white, translucent bumps that are easily irritated by common activities like eating anything that isn't yogurt. To make matters worse, there seem to be gill-like ridges (with some appearing to be like an open wound) within the bump clusters. That makes me thing these ridges are the "birthplace" of these bumps.

Two nights ago at bedtime my 2 yr old grandbaby had a 102 temp followed by a 103 temp the next morning. My tongue at the back has the c papillae but it looks like an ulceration over them - not all white but a flat pink coloured bump with like whitish lines across it. Both sides of tongue bumps are symmetrical. The bumps at very back of tongue almost going down throat have ballooned in size. It isn't uncomfortable to eat or swallow yet. A little of a sore throat and lymph node on right been inflamed a little. Also towards where the bumps are is very white like thrush.
the tongue is lined with what we call the papillae which is found on all normal tongues, these are bumbs. the tiny white bumb you notice might be the papillae or different thing all together. the irritations and pains you noticed, might be due to your previous attempt to 'pop' the bumb. So, you might have to see your doctor for further examination.
This morning I woke up with several painful white bumps on my tongue. When I look at them in the mirror they look like an infected taste bud or something like that.
