Avatar f tn Welcome to the forum. Please be patient for one more week! Try Dr. Coca's Pulse test (free download) . It takes a week of taking his pulse at various times and keeping track of his food and drink intake. At the end you will find out what the offending (allergic or reactive ) substances are, with an almost 100% accuracy! For relief meanwhile you can try a gargle with turmeric in warm water (use a little honey to make it more palatable for your son) 3 times daily.
1112113 tn?1258537095 Then a few more weeks passed and i could feel my breathing getting labored, sometimes i was fine and sometimes it feels like i cant breathe and my pulse goes up. Before all this happened im sure i had a normal pulse, now usually my pulse can be up to 120 P/M (while resting) when i seen the cardiologist he ran ECG, stress test, ultra sound and i also had a blood test he couldnt find any abnormalities other then "my heart raced abit" but couldnt even give me a reason for that.
Avatar n tn My doctor diagnosed me almost a year ago with "the worst case of acid reflux [she'd] ever seen." Literally, I would drink a glass of water and get reflux issues. I was put on Nexium for a long time, and I have since switched to Prilosec OTC because I ran out of health insurance. It's been about five days on Prilosec but I keep feeling nauseous in the morning after I take it, but it's nothing too bad and it goes away fairly quickly.
Avatar m tn I was diagnosed with high blood pressure about 2 years ago after being sent to hospital following an industrial medical exam. My pulse was normally around 67 because I did exercise quite a bit and took it regularly but on the morning of the exam it was racing, possibly around twice that rate.
Avatar n tn Cholesterol was 172, HDL 60, triglycerides 75, blood pressure 110/70, pulse 60. Yet, chronic facial flushing and episodes of tongue tingling continue. Again, thank you.
Avatar m tn The second cardiologist told me to stop the beta blockers and take my pulse for a month. I did and it was ~70 at rest 95% of the time. With this information he told me not to worry, stay off Beta blockers and to come back in a year. They both said that I wouldn't have to worry much about blood clots until age 65. I guess the real question, is what is the risk of cadiomyopathy is I stay off the Beta blockers and should I exercize.
Avatar f tn Suddenly her voice became slurred, and her face and tongue became numb. She found it hard to swallow. I took her B/P and it was 240/135. Pulse 120. Took her to the hospital and they left her lying on a trolley from 1030 to 1700 when they gave her a tablet to bring down the B/P and let her come home. They kept saying it was a migraine even though she had absoutely no pain. I became one of those ex nurses that start to question how they reach their diagnosis.
Avatar n tn I have been to 4 doctors, including ENT but none of them were able to give a certain diagnosis. My blood and allergy tests came back normal. These are not sores but rather a red irritation that makes the tongue bumpy/uneven accompanied by thin purple waves on the sides of the tongue. I also get burning sensation on the tip of my tongue which is a little more red than before. Overall, it's not painful, just unvomfortable and I'm worried it could be something serious.
Avatar m tn After eating i have a visible temple pulse that i can feel without touching and see visibly. Anyone else get a pulse awareness like this? Its not painful...Im currently taking 100mg losartan/hctz25mg for high blood pressure its currently stays around 130/75....Im active but this will happen even when im not doing much....Its very bothering. I can feel my pulse all over now at times...ive had a heart echo(had small leaky valve) and head mri about 7 months ago they both were normal....
Avatar n tn This past week he has been complaining that his tongue feels swollen and he has lots of little white painful bumps on his tongue which i believe is thrust. I know that thrush is like a yeast infection in your mouth i'm just wondering if there's something we can do to make it go away and if his quitting his bad habits had anything to do with it This discussion is related to Thrush?.
Avatar n tn He also has white patches with a very bright red undercoating. He has dry mouth including tongue and has problems eating. He is constantly up every 5-10 minutes to get a drink to try and coat his tongue. Any suggestions on what this actually could be??
Avatar n tn It took 5 mos to diagnos the bi-lateral tos, however, pulse studies verifided that when I raised my arm, my median nerve pulse diminished. I had the right side decompressed in July of 2004, which was the most invasive surgeries, and from what I understand, one of the most difficult surgeries to recover from. After about a year of misery, one day, the post-op pain stopped and I thought finally, I was done.
Avatar n tn my son 2 years has white patches on his tongue, what do i do to get rid of it.
Avatar f tn The swelling in my tongue went away however, now on the right side of my tongue I have white bumps that are somewhat painful and seem to be causing a chalky aspirin like taste in my mouth.
Avatar m tn about a week after coming into contact with alcohol i start feeling weak, sick, bloated, my tongue feels slightly inflamed and the worst of all a weird weak trippy feeling which then turns into a full blown sensation where i feel weak and hot all over and have flashbacks to nothing significant lasts about 10-20 seconds each time, it feels like i am on drugs (really trippy). this goes on for about 5 days getting more frequent 'trips' each day.

Avatar n tn Dear Doctor, I have a somewhat crooked lower second premolar that is pointed in towards my tongue. Occasionally it irritates the side of my tongue. I also have a sharp lower first premolar that touches my tongue. I don't think my tongue bleeds, but it does get irritated every now and then. Does all of this put me at an increased risk for developing tongue cancer? I've read that having any crooked or sharp teeth can be risk factors for developing tongue cancer/oral cancer.
Avatar m tn Since then, life has never been a same again. My pulse rate is generally high - around 80 to 90 and the moment it gets to around 100, I start feeling it, shaking, can't concentrate, constant fear (don't know about what??) etc. Not taking any medication. Got a Blood pressure monitor last week, doing reading 3 times a day, generally pulse rate increasing with the passing day. BP is usually normal (120/80 and around, sometime 130/85 etc, but pulse generally 85 plus).

Avatar n tn About 5 weeks ago I noticed either sides of my tongue were discolored and then a tingling, pin-pricks sensation begun. Then this discomfort began spreading. I noticed "pimple" like cluster under my upper lip. And this discomfort kept moving around my mouth (still does). My gums also appeared inflamed and have some white areas under the surface. I went to the doctor, she prescribed me Peridex (?). She didn't want to give me any anti-biotic. There was no sign of fungus either.
Avatar f tn QUOTE:...visible A waves and incresed gular pressur with distention. What is the significance >>>>>I don't know the significance of valve replacement, but the issues if any seem to be related to the heart's right side. The ‘a’ wave corresponds to atrial contraction and ends synchronously with the carotid artery pulse. The peak of the 'a' wave indicates the end of atrial systole (pumping phase)..
Avatar f tn Benign fasciculation syndrome, which I will abbreviate as BFS, is a condition in which there are involuntary twitches of various muscle groups, most commonly the legs but also the face, arms, eyes, and tongue. If the diagnosis is confirmed and other causes are excluded, it can be safely said that the likelihood of progression or occurrence of a serious neurologic condition is low. When BFS is present but not particularly bothersome or disabling, treatment is not necessary.
Avatar f tn It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your dermatologist. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.
