however I have noticed small dots located on her chin close to her lips. They dont really look like anything I have ever noticed with my cold sores. It does resemble a pimpley heat rash which you indicated generally is not around the mouth area. . . so i am concerned that she may have infact contracted the cold sore virus from me. How long after the intial possible transmission could you see symptoms? It has been about 7 days. I am feeling very guilty about this and dont know what to do.
I went to my primary physician and showed him the rash on my chin mentioning that it looked similar to the rash I originally had around my nose. It is concentrated from just under her bottom lip and down onto her chin. This rash does not seem to cause her any discomfort and does not itch. The funny thing is that the rash will appear, almost out of nowhere, last for a day or 2, then vanish! It may be gone for a few days or so, then it reappears just as quickly as it came! They also are only very minimally itchy, and have no real pain associated with them, just very unsightly.
I had a patch on my chin about the size of a dime which itched and peeled on occasion. It seems where my skin is irritated another developes. I now have 7 in the chin area and two near my eye brows. I literally could itch my face off but I am religious about putting Vit. E, dry skin lotion and the MD gave me fungal meds which have not helped. They have left dark spots on my chin which I can't conceal. Any ideas.
Take some antihistaminics like Benadryl or Claritin and apply some calamine lotion on the rash. If the symptoms persist then please get it evaluated from a dermatologist/ allergist as oral and topical steroids may be needed.

I have a red rash/cluster of blemishes on my chin that has extended up my cheek and under my chin. They are not itchy or painful, just unsightly. It has been present for a couple of months now. That next day a boil appeared on my chin. I took the antibiotics that he gave me. The boil between my eyes finally came to a head and came out but it has left a little knot there. I think another boil was forming above it and its not went away. The boil on my chin is going away but there is still a knot there. Well I thought all was healing but 3 weeks later I wake up and see a pimple on my cheek. The next day I wake up and the whole side of my face is swollen like crazy.
