I am a 24 year old male and have been experiencing tightness in neck, chest, and sometimes shoulder area. The tightness is not painful like I could have a heart attack but more irritating. I had surgery for a hiatal hernia and had laparoscopic fundoplication done and I also have scoliosis. I've been to a chiropractor for my tightness to see if that would help but it just came right back. Wonder if this could be related to my scoliosis.
Up the front of my neck from upper chest on left side there is a great amount of tightness and like stretching feeling with pain and a pressure feeling around my heart and goes up my throat and in and behind my left eye it's a feeling that don't go away it's been like this for a year or so and i've had several tests...
I'm 49 and this morning I had the following: tightness in my chest (like indigestion, or like my bra was too tight); slight pain in my neck/jaw, on the right side; pain in my left bicep/arm. I was driving to work, so I didn't pull over. That was around 8am this morning. The pain in my neck/jaw and arm have gone away, but the tightness in my chest comes and goes. I just started this job, last week, which is why I continued driving to work, this morning, but now I'm concerned.
Dear Team, Please help me out, i was facing chest pain for almost 4 months with neck and shoulder pain. I have done ecg it was normal. I have done neck scanning it is normal. I have also done neck xray, but it shows that my neck bone are compressed. it needs massage. Doctor told me my nerves is pressed.
Then i did massage aryuvedic and my neck pain is almost gone and now i am feeling fine. my now problem is my chest pain left side at one point and middle or between the chest.
I know this is an old post but I just wanted to add my experience for people that might read this thread now. My problem is GERD causing that throat/chest tightness. I checked my thyroid first but everything is fine, then had an endoscopy and sure enough I have esophagitis (spelling?) from GERD. I am taking lanzoprazol but it sometimes works, sometime it doesn`t. Hopefully I'll find a definitive treatment.
I have been experiencing chest pain, and tightness in this area since working with fiberglass in my attic area about six weeks ago. Will this subside, and eventually cease? What does your body do to encapsulate, or rid itself of these fibers? How likely is it to cause cancer? Obviously this has caused me great anxiety. I never dreamed that I would experience this from a one time exposure, although it was in an enclosed area with a poor fitting paper mask.
mines on the left side and its becoming more constant, started out as just tightness in my neck and now ive been having pain. ive been taking antiflams and panadol for mild relief but its still everyday. do you find it goes through to behind your ears and around your skull at times?? besides the tightness in your neck is their any pain..??
Can pinched nerves in the neck cause this chest pain?? At random times there is incredible burning in my left side chest. It subsides but NEVER goes completely away. I have had (what I think is) every test done (Heart, stress, echo, etc...) all come back perfect. Honestly a bit fed up with doctors as all tell me that I am fine.
The pain starts around my bottom back teeth on the right side and goes down my neck, into my upper chest, and sometimes down my arm, making my hand numb. There is also pain in the right side roof of my mouth and upper teeth. I also have been experiencing headaches on the right side. This pain is keeping me from sleeping, eating, talking, you name it. The docs don't know the cause and I can't take this discomfort anymore.

For about 3 weeks I've had sensations, tightness, and heaviness in my arms. One arm is affected when the symptoms begin, it's never both arms at the same time. The symptoms started in my left arm. My arm just feels heavy, muscles feel tight and there's a tingling sensation that runs from my shoulder blade down my arm and all the way to my hands/fingers. Somedays, the same symptoms occur in my right arm.
its worse pre period also under my arm has a lump, i get nite sweats and lost loads of weight, breathing problems and chest tightness, visual problems and reacurring glands in throat fell like throat swealling up but not sore, constant fatigue and unable to sleep, i feel generally unwell, also could have been exposed to carbon monoxide for 5 months a year and half ago.
For over two months, about 20 minutes after eating just about anything, I have been having chest tightness above my sternum and upper back/neck pain/burning between my shoulders and down my spine to a point on my spine directly behind my upper sternum where I feel the chest tightness. Have had an upper endoscopy which found a small hiatial hernia and minor esophagus erosion on/near my LES, but nothing that should be causing this pain.

Are you being treated for the panic disorder? If you aren't, I would strongly recommend getting into some therapy (CBT) to find the root cause of your panic. Once you've identified that, your therapist can give you a great deal of knowledge to understand why you suffer from it and tools to help you overcome it.
Your therapist can teach you various breathing exercises to help when you get that suffocating feeling. They work.
t eat much and not sleeping well, reason why was that i was worried about pain that was in my testicle but found out that is was a epidyimal cyst and that it was nothing to worry about. Now i am back to my routine and seem to be having some chest tightness. I am wondering if it was from all the stress i was putting myself under or is it probably from my ablation and it is just healing? Idk I go see the doctor who performed my ablation on friday.
