I have been to 2 orthopedics since November for my hip musce and joint apin and it is no better.

Avatar f tn I have hashi and joint pain, muscle ache, stiff body, frozen shoulder. You get a feeling as if joints are connected in a crude manner. When you have prolonged pains like this, our brain tries to avoid any movement that can cause pain. This kind of makes you less mobile and lethargic...
Avatar f tn Started on 150 and reduced to 137, not due to have more labs til mid March and for the last few days have severe muscle aches and joint pain with upper back pain. I have fibromyalgia but this is way different. Feels like 3 cases of the flu. Has anyone had similar symptoms?

Avatar m tn Please post your most recent thyroid related blood tests, and their reference ranges. Some of us with muscle/joint pain find that we simply need to increase our dosage. If you have Hashimoto's (which causes thyroid inflammation), you will need to increase your medication, as the antibodies destroy healthy thyroid tissue. It's true that supplementing with magnesium can help relieve the pain; I find that adding calcium helps.
Avatar f tn I got to tell you honestly - I suffered alot - Kitty here and I had a duscussion about magnesium and I started it for bloating. Not only has it relieved my bloating issues but the joint /muscle pain and anxiety is almost gone. I was not sure if the magnesuim was the reason - I did some quick research and it is the known to resolve these issues. It was almost immediate - with in 3 to 4 days but I no longer need any meds for anxiety right now and I feel I can move again.

Then I stopped my birth control pill. So probs started again. I was put on 1 grain armour for 3 months, it was hell. My monrning used to to pain free and evening it used to start paining through the night. constipation was worst. Then I convinced him to increase armour to 1.
Avatar n tn Pain in the joints sounds as though it might be an arthritic issue unrelated to your thyroid issues or thyroid medications. Before this joint pain gets any worse it might be advisable to get a rheumatologist on the case, or at least consult another general practicioner or internist. Do you take any anti-inflammatory over the counter medications for the pain? Of course you should consult your doctor about this first.
Avatar m tn I have pain that shoots down my left side of my thyroid. and hurts when i eat or drink. from what I read them are not good signs. I hope to get to see my doc soon then i will post my levels.
Avatar f tn I had my 3rd child 10 months ago and after I had her my thyroid seemed to go haywire. My endo put me on a higher dosage of 112mcg and ever since I have had severe muscle and joint pain. I am only 26 years old and I wake up feeling 65. It's getting to the point where it's hard for me to walk sometimes. Does anyone have any experience with this? I live in a very small town and have two options for doctors. I'm thinking about traveling to see a better one.
Avatar f tn Even if it appears that you are still hypothyroid, that does not assure that your muscle issues are related; however, joint and muscle pain are known symptoms that are frequently related to hypothyroidism. I have experienced knee pain so bad I could not get off a chair unless I used my arms to push up. After getting my T4/T3 med dosage increased 3 days later I could do deep knee bends with no pain.
1338594 tn?1275903060 I have Ulcerative Colitis. I can relate. I've had joint, tendon, and muscle pain due to Ulcerative Colitis before, but it wasn't so bad. I started getting horrific pain in my neck, upper back and shoulders about six weeks ago. Then in my upper arms, chest, and feet. My feet turned red and swelled. The pain seems to move from one place to another every few days to a week.
Avatar f tn I am on methotrexate now and still have a lot of pain and a hard time walking. I am 33. Could it be my thyroid (although blood tests are normal)? Please any tips, suggestions, referrals are welcome.
Avatar f tn T3 levels correlate with joint and muscle pain, your cell tissue needs it. Most feel best with Free T3 in the upper 3rd of the range. Even though I mentioned you cant just go by TSH, many people would feel hypo with your TSH.
148532 tn?1216640562 I too am an RN and post 2 year treatment and have elevated CRP, sed rate up and down, positive RA and Sjogrens. My rheumatologist thinks the with the years of HCV and then Tx. I now have a immune system disorder. I have never been so tired and have joint and muscle pain every day.
Avatar n tn Joint pain (and muscle weakness) can be thyroid related but it can also be low nutrients. I started treated B12, Iron, B3, Zinc, and Vitamin D deficiencies for over a month and can finally lift a full gallon of milk without feeling like it was far too heavy for my control. I think it's the vitamins rather than my thyroid medicine doing the trick because I've only been on thyroid meds for 10 days.
Avatar f tn has anyone with muscle and joint pain found a solution. With a tsh in the normal range on synthroid what else is there to try?
Avatar m tn but then I went hyper with headaches and migraines ,hot flashes etc and I kept going to drs until someone listened and changed my meds and lowered me back down every 4 weeks a lower dose after testing but since drugs have a half life, now that my last test came back ok in 4 weeks...at 6 weeks THE MUSCLE AND JOINT PAIN IS RETURNING..... you would know after I just saw dr a couple weeks ago...SO IT CAN CERTAINLY BE THE THYROID....My guess is not enough T3 but I haven't tested again.
