Avatar m tn Over the past few months I've noticed a strong pulse in my head that often causes my head to sway with the beat. This is driving me crazy. What could it be?
Avatar n tn Hey guys, I'm new here. :) I'm currently trying to get a diagnosis other than an "its all in your head" or "chronic pain" one. It feels like none of the doctors so far have looked beyond the most obvious symptom: pain in the joints and muscles. The thing is, I'm not showing any swelling or signs of joint damage, so its assumed I'm not relapsing from my RA that I had as a kid. I was recently checked for MS, but it was before it worsened last.
Avatar m tn You might have an ear inflammation or just wax in your ear. Otherwise, what I have read is that when your blood vessels become old and bad you stop feeling the pulse in them. So the fact that you can feel a strong clear pulse means that your blood vessels are probably young and healthy:).
Avatar n tn m 30 yrs old, very healthy and have no history of anything but thyroid issues in my family. My thyroid levels have stabilized as well.
Avatar m tn Its really frustrating, considering since I have panic disorder, its hard to determine if its in my head, or real. I am getting my MRI/MRA probably next week. My biggest fear, is just going blind. I don't want to go blind.
Avatar f tn For 2 years I have had a pressure in my head when I bend over. My blood pressure is under control. Several doctors have had no suggestions, just don't bend over. I work in my garden a lot and need to bend over. My thyroid profile was in the low normal range. I am 49 yrs. old and about 20 pounds overweight. CT scan of my brain and sinuses were both normal. Any suggestions? Thank you.
Avatar f tn I would see a nerve specialist, I would not expect your thyroid surgeon to admit it as a possibility, I questioned my Endo once about taking my thyroid out, and get it over with, because of Hashimoto's, He advised against it, and his reason was that unless the surgeon was a skilled Endocrin Surgeon, that other surgeons sometimes remove part of or damage the Parathyroids, that are located behind the thyroid itself, so I guess if they have surgeons that will have errors, and in that sense cou
219609 tn?1210348114 1 last time and said there was no Parathyroid issues,Im asuming that I do have some thyroid left in there since my parathyroids were not moved during operation,, but my kidney stone issue is beyond my Urologist idea, water pills are bring my blood pressure down tp low 108/80 it used to be really high till my TSH came down as did the pressure, but still getting palulations at night..
215461 tn?1331862765 I get the pins and needles feeling in my head too although its more in the top of my head and I get it when feeling really hypo. My (useless) endo also said it was down to anxiety initially. I am now 8 weeks into an Armour thyroid trial (prescribed by the same useless endo who has never prescribed it before) and I only get the feeling now when my next dose is due (or in fact before-hand as I'm still under-medicated).
Avatar f tn All I ever read is the key to weight loss is your metabolism. How do I increase it without a thyroid? It is very frustrating!
335728 tn?1331414412 Hey people! I was a good girl and looked in the Health Pages first but couldn't find what I was looking for so I am going to ask my friends here!! I was contacted by my gp yesterday and she said that my blood work indicated that my Thyroid level was low. She said it's not extremely low so we will just watch it carefully for the next three months rather than starting a med right away. I am wondering if there is any connection between MS symptoms and a Thyroid problem?

Avatar f tn Do you feel that your dry head and hair loss are related to thyroid issues? Are you on thyroid medication? If so, which medication/dosage? Can you post your most recent thyroid labs, along with the reference ranges from your lab report, so members can comment more fully?
Avatar n tn I get a “swimming” sensation in my head particularly at night when I’m falling off to sleep. I abruptly wake up as it feels like I’m falling for a split second. Currently, I’m having neuropathy down my right arm to my first two fingers finger tips which are numb. The pain goes down the tricep across the back elbow and down the forearm. I am told I have hashimotos thyroid issues as well. Would either of these cause the “swimming” and “falling” sensations? Any ideas?
978175 tn?1304439383 The thyroid status can fluctuate from hyper to hypothyroidism; you could repeat your thyroid profile to know the current status of your thyroid gland. You have to ensure to take your medications regularly and you have to monitor the levels of your thyroid status at least once in three months. Hope this helped and do keep us posted.
Avatar f tn People more knowledgeable than I will respond concerning your question (Did you mean swollen glands in his neck?) but my first thought was that this treatment can affect the thyroid. I hope you will get some answers soon, but I wouldn't worry, the worst seems to be over for him. All the best to you and your husband.

Avatar n tn in the last three months I have started experiencing extreme zaps in my head. It started w/ whole body jumps, where it seemed my body from head to toe would jump, no pain I have a pain patch for IC. Since the pain patch was new they removed the patch and the body jumps subsided.
Avatar f tn I'm not sure about thyroid but next for sure...
Avatar m tn I wanted to suggest that you ask your doctor to check your thyroid lab tests. Some of your symptoms sound like you might be low. This is very easy to test for and rule in or out. The swallowing thing, depression, fatigue, needing lows of sleep. Do you feel cold? Have dry skin? get constipated? hair falling out? Those would be other clues that you might be having thyroid probs.
