4489852 tn?1375753951 This is not a question, but I wanted to post my blog on here for other people to read if they wanted to. I had a hard time finding a chiari blog that was kept up to date and was current, so I wanted to start one not only so that i could have record of everything, but also so that other people could read my story and see that they are not alone in this fight. This is the blog I started in April.
1853014 tn?1340038575 I think this is the blog you are talking about. It is excellent. You can see there are many, many pages of valuable information. Plus it is written very well and has some humor too. http://hep-free.
1305311 tn?1273157927 removal of my thyroid gland was suggested from both (ASAP as my thyroid nodule (goiter) could transform in cancerous cells) but I would do everything to avoid it and not to be on pills for the rest of my life. Although, I’m completely clueless… and frightened. Any suggestion or recommendation or alternative treatment known? Mille fois merci!
Avatar f tn s acid reflux symptoms nearly or completely disappear when she is on proper or close to proper levels of thyroid. Also her asthma seems also to be diminished when thyroid levels are up.

Avatar f tn Hair loss where every time I shower I have to remove hair from the drain, not interest in sexual activity. I went to the Doctor had thyroid blood work everything in normal range. Had an Ultra sound done and many nodules found. I was clear what they were and Ultra sound tech says their common in this area ( whatever that means) The nodules are rather big in my book they push on my windpipe. There is cancer history in my family so I'm kinda freaking out.
Avatar f tn Check out that blog I mentioned - Hypothyroid Mom. Here is an excerpt from her article Have You Suffered a Miscarriage? Your Thyroid Could Be to Blame... On a cold snowy day in New York City in early 2009, I lay on a medical exam table on what would be one of the worst days of my life. I had miscarried at 12 weeks and was being prepared for a D&C. A technician had just taken an ultrasound and walked out of the room to reconfirm to the medical staff that my fetus had no heartbeat.
734073 tn?1278896325 old daughter (born without a thyroid gland) just had this tested again and I will get the results back on Monday (11/16). Lab Corp. was used and their previous reference range for this was (170-790). I thought I read somewhere recently that it should be under 250? Any thoughts on this would be much appreciated!
Avatar f tn ( so March this year got diagnosed with underactive thyroid TSH of 93!! Once in tablets I got pregnant when my TSH hit 30 but early miscarriage. Then I got pregnant again in July with TSH 12 but again miscarried. So thort I'd hold off till it was stable. My TSH is now 0.24 on 125mlg levothyroxine. I'm still petrified that I'm still gonna miscarry when I fall pregnant again. Anyone been through something similar?
1831849 tn?1383228392 So how long until you think our FDA gives it a thumbs up ? I believe it has been resubmitted or it is close - maybe by the end of 2014 is my thinking. I'm surprised that NICE approved it.
Avatar f tn This is a forum where various aspects of thyroid treatment are discussed, rather than a blog. Yes, there are some that will disagree that remission is possible until there is no healthy thyroid tissue left to destroy, at which time the antibodies may go into remission, since they don't attack other organs.
1216595 tn?1284933208 s and is accelerating, have your thyroid levels checked ASAP! Sometimes the interferon causes thyroiditis which speeds up the hemolytic anemia. This can develop into a life-threatening condition if it isn't watched closely. -I had a thyroid storm from mine and had to be put on beta-blockers (a medication that slows the heart rate and lowers blood pressure).
Avatar f tn i answered your question about my TSH level on another board because i can't find the original place that you asked about it. my tsh came in at 93. i think the t3 test was 3.0. i found an email address for optimox and wrote to them about the problem. they think the high TSH might be due to a bromine problem and are sending me a high dosage vitamin C bottle to de-tox from the bromine. apparently it takes 30 days of being on vitamin C to bring down the TSH.
168348 tn?1379357075 As I read article after article and blog after blog, I shook my head. As I looked at the photos - I had an answer! My daughter had an answer! We began reading about treatments. What we kept seeing was that DIET played a huge part in the answer. That was 7 months ago that we began. I am happy to say that my darling daughter has gone 3 months without a single boil. And we discovered what triggered the rash. And we have seen the cystic acne on her face and back clear up!
Avatar m tn Relax PLeASe??? I know what you are going thru - it IS scary. ( I once had melanoma way back in 1988. I had a three year old to care for!! ) But now it's time to research as much as you can. Please, please PLEASE google ladybugsandbees. One woman's journey thru thyroid cancer. It is her blog and tells every step of the way what she experienced when finding out in 1999/2000. Her doctor found her nodule right after her check up after having a baby!!
599170 tn?1300973893 I really liked the black guy who sang Deligha ( remember he had the cute baby at auditions) what is his name I hope he makes it,.,I like the blind guy too...and the little country girl with blonde hair...willl blog more after the show tonight...gotta love it!!!
Avatar f tn My last thyroid tests (early Oct.) came back that my thyroid medication was too high - but by different doctor than who normally sees me. I knew that doctor could not be correct. So traveled 350 miles to my endocrinologist who said my Levoxly medication at 0.100mg was perfect. and not too high dose for me. I agree with him.
Avatar f tn to say I am frustrated is putting it mildly. I have been on the Thyroid blog with Mary Shoman and I see where others are also having problems but what are we supposed to do when we DO NOT want the articificial thyroid RXs the Drs are so quick to push. Sorrry I bent your ear but I want you to know how much I appreciate your taking the time to answer my message.
Avatar f tn About a month ago I started having slight blurred vision out of the corner of my right eye. That eye also started getting a lot dryer than my left eye and I have felt some pressure by my eye. I saw an optomitrist, a neuro-opthamologist and had an MRI and nothing showed up. I don't have diabetes. I do have thyroid and hormone imbalances, but I've had those problems for years and this only started last month. What else could be causing it?
Avatar n tn when i was confused with the overall issue.I started questioning on this blog. After getting information from this blog, I happpen to ask doctor whats the normal range, he said anything between 0.35 to 5.50.I had doubts in my mind so i enquired in the lab, and i was told that there are different kits of testing. Our testing range is this 0.35 to 5.50.Is it true? what? is it true that every country have different ways of testing?
1617467 tn?1298680277 I am worried that I will have the side effects that I am reading on blog sites of dizziness, tiredness and hunger issues. Lord knows that I don't need this because I already feel those now! What is the percentage that this medicine will work for me and help me lose this weight. I am only 5 foot 3 and weigh 170 pounds which I have been trying for over a year to lose. I was 180 when I began to exercise and I am sick of feeling like a 'sack of potatoes'. Any advice?? Thanks, Michele.
Avatar f tn I had my thyroid and 3 parathyroid removed with no lymph node involvement-my throat has been swollen so it feels like I have a golf ball in there. In my last blog everyone was talking about acid reflux. Since I have never had acid reflux, I didn't know what to expect. OMG I was up all night-thought I was having a heart attack-Tums didn't help. Does anyone have a fix for this besides scrips? Is anyone else still constipated?
