Avatar f tn The and the right lobe of the thyroid measures 6.5 x 2.1 x 1.8 cm and the left lobe 5.5 x 2.0 x 1.8 cm. No focal thyroid parenchymal lesions. There is generalized hyperemia throughout both lobes of the thyroid on color-flow Doppler. And there are two small hypo echoic nodular collections just caudal to the inferior lower pole of the left thyroid lobe the larger measuring up to 1.5 and 1.4 cm diameters respectively.
Avatar f tn The problem is that many endos only specialize in diabetes and are not good thyroid doctors. I hope yours is. A good thyroid doctor will be willing to adjust your medications in such a way as to alleviate your symptoms. Most thyroid patients find that in order to feel well, FT3 levels need to be in the upper 1/3 of its range and FT4 levels need to be at least mid range. That means your medication should be adjusted so your FT3 is around 4.4 and FT4 around 1.
Avatar f tn When did you have the US? Sometimes the reports take a few days to get to the doctor, then they have to have the time to read them. If it has been more than a week, I'd be calling the doc to find out.

Avatar f tn I recently had an ultrasound and this is what it said. Right lobe of the thyroid measures 4.7 cm x 1.6 cm x 1.6 cm . Left lobe measures 6.7 cm x 2.5cm x 2.1 cm. The gland is slightly heterogeneous in echotexture. In the left lobe, there is a heterogeneous solid and cystic nodule measuring 3.8 cm x 2.2 cm x 2.1 cm. There is some shadowing in the upper portion of the nodule, which limits its evaluation, though the possibility of underlying calcifications is not excluded.
667562 tn?1228262025 Hi I an a 44yr old mother and I was today told I have several nodules on my thyroid and some in my esophagus. I also was told I have a hernia in my esophagus. Avatar f tn The thyroid gland is diffusely heterogeneous and nodular. Vascularity is within normal limits. The right lobe measures 4.7 x 1.3 x 1.4 cm, the isthmus measures 0.2 cm, and the left lobe measures 4.6 x 1 x 1.3 cm. A few benign appearing lymph nodes are seen in the left neck. They are saying I don't need to follow up with the ultrasound. But all I can come up with is this has to do with thyroid. On Levo and my tsh is back to normal but the t3 and t4 are still out of whack.
Avatar m tn Please, I need some help! Avatar m tn Well actually, the ultrasound is just the tip of the iceberg. I have a ton of medical problems and right now the thyroid is being ignored, Not by me, by my ENDOCRINOLOGIST. So, I was just trying to get some input about the ultrasound b/c I'm going to a thyroid specialist, not endocrinologist, in July and I want to have as much info as I can get. I will NOT walk out of that office w/o answers!
Avatar f tn The lump was there before the ultrasound and during the ultrasound, when I laid on my back with head lying straight, she scanned the thyroid, there was a great deal of pain. That night the mass was gone, the next morning the mass was still gone. The ultrasound was done on Thursday last week and today is Wednesday and the mass is still gone.
Avatar f tn i am new here and am wondering if anyone can shed some light on my situation. I was just sent in for a thyroid ultrasound after my doctor felt a nodule during a routine exam. I could plainly see nodules on the screen and the technician was measuring them. I tried to remember exactly the images I saw, but the one most concerning was an oval shaped nodule that was completely blue on the color Doppler screen. On a separate image, I saw long and narrow images of blue and red.
Avatar n tn I just my Vitamin D lab results today and te Vitamin D 1,25-DIHY was 84.3 and the 25-HYDROX was 8.2. Do these results and the Ca of 10.4 and PTH of 83 indicate hypothyroidism or hyperparathyroidism?

Avatar f tn In October I had an ultrasound of my neck because it appeared to be enlarging again and was found to have multiple bilateral thyroid nodules. The largest nodule on the right measured 1.4x1.4cm and the largest nodule on the left measured 1.9x1.7cm. The multiplicity of nodules suggested adenomatous nodules but because of the size they were biopsied and found to be benign.
568186 tn?1216836495 After several months on Synthroid presently taking 150 and still feeling tired - my doctor sent me for a thyroid ultrasound - I am seeing a endo next week - but I am nervous the scan revealed right lobe mesures 3.5 x 1.1 and the left lobe measures 3.3 x 8.5. Avatar f tn I take 90mg Armour Thyroid for Hypothyroidism and have been for about 8 years, originally diagnosed with goiter after I had my second child. I have to have a needle biopsy because one nodule is bigger than one cm and I was told they want to make sure it isn't cancer. I just recently had to have a small breast nodule biopsy because it was suspicious on the breast ultrasound two days ago, now I have to have the thyroid biopsied. Now I am petrified! Could these be related?
