Avatar f tn Do ovarian cysts cause extreme fatigue? I have for cysts. One of them is a complex cyst measuring 4cm. I have had them for at least a year and being treated with birth control. I get abdominal pain, back pain, pain on my thighs, bloating and nausea. However, what really affects my daily life is the fatigue. I am always very tired, I feel like everything aches and just want to sleep. I work but lack the energy to go through an entire day without feeling I need to sleep!
356929 tn?1246389756 Was also told that I have mild hypoglycemia. So this makes perfect sense to me that the ovarian cysts and the thyroid nodules are connected. I don't want to think that my body is just falling apart - I'm only 36!! Though lately I feel more like 96!
1470552 tn?1300605907 It seems there is a connection between hypothyroidism and ovarian cysts. I saw an article online and it states that similarities between TSH and bhCG levels can stimulate ovarian cyst growth. The article can be found at http://emedicine.medscape.com/article/795877-overview Nearly at the very bottom of the page is a subheading "Causes" and I refered to the 3rd point. It is an interesting connection.
Avatar f tn I have also tried rubbing caster oil on my thyroid cysts and leg cyst. The thyroid cysts went down after 2 hrs but my leg cyst just reduced in size- I have had the leg one for 20 yrs vs the thyroid cysts for only 7 yrs.

456874 tn?1218139741 I have ovarian cysts and thyroid issues, now with two nodular thyroid cysts. My thyroid went from 39.9 not a year and-a-half later, to 7.5, which is still not normal - better though on Armour thyroid (pig), instead of the previous Synthroid. I hope you get answers to your questions and I will look for them.
Avatar f tn I have gained around 10 lbs in the past month, my stomach is bloated, breasts are swollen, cravings, ovary pain, frequent urination, irritability, vomiting, frequent migraines............ I have had problems with ovarian cysts before and now only have 1 ovary. What is wrong with me??
Avatar n tn If you are 40-50, then perimenopause is a possible cause. But, ovarian cysts at any age can change your hormones and cause these types of symptoms. Unfortunately, no two ovarian cysts show themselves in the same way. So, it is hard to say without having tests to rule out all other causes. In general the list of symptoms you describe sound like they could be related to menopause. But, if you are under 45, then that is less likely.
665125 tn?1273023924 A few months ago we had sort of a survey on here and just about all of us that have or have had ovarian cysts, also have thyroid problems. Hypothyroid mostly. Now, granted, this was not scientific at all, but it seems coincidental to me./ I wouldn't worry too much about the cysts. They are quite small and what may happen is that your Gyn. may suggest they be monitored for a few months. After that , they may discuss removal if they don't shrink.
Avatar f tn have polycystic left kidney, 2 kidney stones in right kidney, ovarian cyst, cyst on cervix, stip of endrometriosis in uterus, mild asymmetry pituitary adnoma, solid mass on left lobe of thyroid, and septated cyst on right lobe of thyroid. Nothing has been biopsyed or treated for any of these conditions. What should i do?
Avatar n tn Although it’s not known for sure whether benign ovarian cysts or polycystic ovaries develop into ovarian cancer, the vast majority of ovarian cysts appear to be unrelated. Women who have polycystic ovaries or ovarian cancer seldom have obvious symptoms early on. However, in both disorders, symptoms are noticed as the condition progresses. Because the ovaries are affected on both disorders, the some of the symptoms can be similar.
Avatar f tn I have a ovarian cysts, as well as thyroid issues. I would like to know if they are connected-too.
Avatar f tn Hi I’m 22 and have two children . I have frequent big ovarian cysts I have had cystectomys 3 times in the past 3 years. They are extremely painful and I still have no answer as to why I get them so frequent and how can I help preventing them . I have tried many different birth controls and I went even with out. I have not had a period in a long time like a year not at all .
Avatar f tn Has anyone had ovarian cysts and had trouble concieving or had them and still got pregnant? I do, and ive been trying to get pregnant for almost a year and its really starting to feel like its never gonna happen...
Avatar f tn I know our minds tend to think the worst but most ovarian cysts go away on their own. And most are benign (non-cancerous), even ones that look suspicious and have to be surgically removed. Do you mean the ovary is 89mm not 89ml? 89mm = 8.9cm which would seem reasonable being that the cyst is 6.4cm. The 2cm growth in your endometrium may be a fibroid since those are very common and rarely cause for concern since they're benign. Many women have an antiverted uterus.
Avatar f tn (In my town, that was a reproductive endocrinologist, but your regular ob/gyn could find out.) If all that you have is ovarian cysts and endometriosis, removing the one ovary if it is compromised by the cysts, and removing the endometriosis, seems like it would be more to the point. If a specialist who is good at getting all the endometriosis tells you that your present plan is the only way, then go for it.
Avatar m tn Ovarian cysts grow on the ovary so in that way it is outside the ovary but part of it. They grow from ovarian tissue, and can also be inside and outside depending on the type and how large they are. There is no way for you to know for sure unless you have further testing done.
Avatar n tn But she tested all my hormones like th fsh thyroid etc and yea. But i dont have ovarian pain.
Avatar f tn He said I had the textbook signs of a thyroid problem and he told me that the cysts were likely caused by the hormone problem. But since there showed no problem in my hormone levels what else could be causing them and the other problems I was having? Any suggestions for me to consider what the problem is?
Avatar f tn I went to see and endocrinologist because my last reading was 4.68 and I keep having issues with ovarian cysts. My GYN wanted to make sure it was not PCOS because my sister has it. My other sister is hypothyroid and she is active and states that she feels awful when her TSH is greater than 2. I am just wondering if some are more sensitive to hormone fluctuations than others? I have never had an issue with ovarian cysts or fatigue before. This is not me...
Avatar f tn I used to get ovarian cysts on a regular basis, and they were so painful I would pace the floor, unable even to sit down. My doctor would check each time, and each time, there would be a cyst. (It was also clearly the cysts because some months I would get them on the left, and some months on the right.
Avatar f tn it has gotten worse thru the years. I have never experienced any ovarian cysts and was able to conceive without trouble. Also, I have weight gain problems and difficulty losing weight. I am highly irritable, constantly tired, lazy, small appetite, wake up with a congested sinus daily, monthly neck pain such as a pulled muscle & constantly hot so I keep my AC at 68.
