t know for sure, but have noticed numbness in fingers and toes when my thyroid is low. When I have enough thyroid it goes away. Sometimes my hand will go numb at night, as well. That too, goes away when I am regulated. This is certainly not scientific but interesting to hear that someone else has this as well.
For the past 3 months i've been experiencing numbness in my fingers and toes. This is my left hand and left foot. It generally happens when I'm stressed about something or sometimes I find it happens when I'm lying down. Please let me know if you can shed some light as to what this might be.
I had CTS Surgery on both hands in Dec 09, 5 weeks ago I started experiencing numbness and tingling in my fingers and hands. My EMG came back normal. Now I have tingling in my feet and toes at all times of the day and night.
I also have a nodual that is an odd shape or as the Docter said, It has changed shape, but the blood work keeps coming back that the thyroid is functioning correct. Biopsy also came back, Normal. Or atleast that is how I understand it, 50% acuate!
I also have tingling in toes, feet and arm and fingers, as well as a crawling itchy feeling on my scalp. I have had MRI and blood tests to rule out LUPUS and MS. So far everything is o.k. except it seems like I have moderate rheumatoid arthitis, which I guess is not so good, but less frightening than having MS. You say you feel fine, are you fatigued, and feel pain as well as the tingling.
You could be me! Very bad tingling and cramping in legs. soreness. I'm 41 and move like im 71. I started taking b12, b-complex, magnesium and vit d supplements about 2 months ago and that did help quite a bit. I would say 50% of feet tingling is gone.

Causes of hand numbness can include conditions such as carpal tunnel syndrome and is usually numbness of the thumb and first couple of fingers. People with this condition may wake up at night and “shake their hands”. The feet numbness at the toes could be from either trauma locally at the feet (e.g., years of wearing shoes) or could be from your back.

and tremor in fingers...expecially the ring and pinky fingers and thumb..The numbness is since back in my forearms and translates into heaviness in my fingers and hand..ALso, whenever I flare my fingers (like playing an imaginary piano) I notice that both pinking fingers sort of snap back unlike the others which remain fluid (both hands)...The pain in the wrists has also returned when I place them into extension.
I am a 26 yr old female and since Nov have had numbness \ tingle ness feeling content and spreading in my left middle and ring fingers. You might think about having your thyroid function tested. The same thing happened to me - weight gain - numbness, etc. It was because I have an underactive thyroid. I started the medication and my weight has returned to "normal' and no more numbness.
