Avatar f tn Started on 150 and reduced to 137, not due to have more labs til mid March and for the last few days have severe muscle aches and joint pain with upper back pain. I have fibromyalgia but this is way different. Feels like 3 cases of the flu. Has anyone had similar symptoms?
Avatar f tn Very big. I had aches and pains before and I was Hyper. I think mine was due to more of the taking care of my babies, but now I am feeling them alot! Right now as I type. I feel it in my feet, neck, and arms!
Avatar f tn Again in cardiac disorders the heart is unable to pump the blood adequately, more so when subjected to stress like exercise. Certain systemic disorders like anemia, diabetes, vitamin deficiencies and thyroid disorders can cause these symptoms. Your symptoms could also be due to excess of thyronorm. So please consult your primary care physician who may ask for an EKG or a treadmill test to rule out a cardiac cause for the symptoms. He may even ask for blood tests and an X ray chest.
Avatar n tn today and she is running the levels for the Tyroid and also Diabetes and R. Arth. She was in agreement on the symptoms for Thyroid meds adjustment. I have a great clinic--but I think I am going to enjoy this site a lot. Helps to talk to other people. Thanks for support and will keep you updated.
640719 tn?1277140030 I have small nodules and yes, joint weakness and my feet and hands are cold a lot. I was told that I have tendonitis. I've had that before. THis isn't it. A commercial talks about the Adrenal Fatigue Institute and they are selling Cylopril. Is this a medical and ethical insitute, or are they just selling something? What will happen if I take a diet pill with my thyroid medication? I haven't thought of Vit D and my doctor hasn't mentioned it.
Avatar f tn 80 My endroconlogsit said I have it high fro someone wtih RA and that ineed to take 025 the lowest does of synthoird to get it under 2 I have been on it for 3 weeks just stopped i seem to get increase of musle and joint aches on it, I thought that was an okay tsh what do you think, the T3 was normal range the T4 was on the lower end of the resutls all free test.
Avatar m tn Some of the symptoms I was dealing with have subsided (cold temperature, hair loss has slowed). The ones that remain are the muscle and joint aches and a low tolerance for exercise. My appetite is very spotty, some days I will not eat much at all and have to almost force myself to eat. Also my diastolic BP has risen from what normally was 90 to now 100-110. My question is could the FreeT4 being on the lower end of normal cause some of these symptoms?
Avatar m tn I have Hashimotos and have been struggling with body aches since last 3 & 1/2 years. Recently, I have had severe joint aches (I will come to what my Ortho doctor told in a short while). As my T3, T4 etc were all okay, I repeated by Vitamin D test. As my vitamin D was lower at 40 nmom/L at the beginning of 2017, I was supplementing with 50,000 IU every week. My measurement on 4/29/17 - 120 ng/ml As vitamin D level was high, I went on same dose above but every month.
Avatar n tn I am getting crazy with my symptoms for last 2 years , instead of getting better it is either in same place or bit worst. Main issue i have is muscles ache /joint pain and exercise intolerance .I can hold things longer i have pain in my calves /shin splint and upper arms/shoulder . Doctor thought could be RA but test came back negative and other autoimmune test also came back negative .
Avatar f tn Hi, funny you should mention aches and pain. It probably is your thyroid medacine, to low, but the drs want to increase your meds slowly. And we can't get out of our own way and they say see you in three months. I had a TT 2years, 6 months, 1 week, and 10 hours ago......they damaged my parathyroids and left me with sever Hypocalcemia (low calcium) which causes tetny (severe muscle spasms) because of the calcium. My thyroid levels and calcium levels have never been on the same page.
715375 tn?1229790843 I split the dosage, tried with food etc but had head rushes each time and felt weird the after 3 weeks almost 4 the muscle and joint aches were not improving so I went from 88 mcg of t4 to 100 mcg of synthroid and dropped the t3 cytomel. In 3 weeks I could already tell a difference with aches going away.
1018337 tn?1251567540 Her blood work had been perfect before, but suddenly her t4 and t3 were much lower and she began having joint aches and feeling flu like. All on the same dose, just a refill! You might want to switch if you begin to feel poorly. Pay close attention to your symptoms.
Avatar m tn Giving PTU to an already hypothyroid patient (making them even more hypothyroid) makes no sense. In America, doctors get sued for doing the exact opposite of what needs to be done. Yes, the PTU (and worsened hypothyroidism) could cause all those symptoms (fatigue, joint pain, sleep disruption, back ache, brain fog, etc.). You may be undermedicated. Without establishing a doctor-patient relationship, it is hard to say if this is your main problem, or if there is something else going on.
Avatar n tn Hypothyroidism can cause SEVERE joint aches. 80 % of people who have a diagnoses of "fibromialga" really have low thyroid levels. I strongly suggest that you have COMPLETE blood labs drawn. The obligatory tsh and total t4 is not suffient to reveal a problem. You MUST have the freet3 and freet4 and antibodies tested to know for sure. See this through! Quality of life depends on proper thyroid hormone levels in the body! (we're talking cellular level here!!!
Avatar n tn hello, i have hypothyroidism and wake up in the early morning with aches in my calves.. the pain literally wakes me up.. is this a common thing with this? thank you..
Avatar m tn nausea, dizziness (extreme at times), joint/muscle aches and stiffness mostly in hands and feet but occassionally like a full body flu-type attack, weakness in wrists, cold feet and hands that feel like they are plunged in ice water when i am seating in the office, constant feeling of cold so that I just can't get warm, occasional hot flashes and chills, exhaustion and sleepiness all day but hard to stay asleep, and memory problems/disorientation like a brain "fog", flashes"}
Avatar n tn Recent thyroid test results - TSH 0.004 - T4 10.8 - T3 28. I have unexplained weight gain, memory loss (that is starting to concern me!), tired most of the time, dry skin, puffyness under eyes unless I take a daily water pill (doesn't always help), muscle/joint aches & pain, very low libido, thinning hair, feet are ususally cold but I am 'hot' all the time, seldom perspire unless humidity is high.
Avatar f tn It is amazing how many things int he body the thyroid helps to control including muscle aches and pains, joint pain, emotions, metabolism, weight gain/loss, breathing and the list just keeps on going. With that said, proper treatment of the thyroid and proper medication can control the disease and eliminate the symptoms. The trick is finding the right doctor that treats by not only the blood tests but the patient's symptoms as well. They go hand in hand.
Avatar f tn I also get a lot of joint/muscle aches. I was tested because my sister has the condition but I have never really had any symptoms so i´m not sure if this is thyroid related. Any advice would be appreciated please. Thank you.
Avatar f tn Well, I saw my Endo yesterday. Good news: She is very happy with my current levels (TSH and Free T3). She is keeping my Synthroid dose the same (50 mcg). I talked to her about testing Free T4 and doing a vitamin panel on my next bloodwork, and she is adding that in. She also gave me a list of vitamins to start (D3 2000, B12/B Complex, MultiVitamin with Selenium). I started these last night. Not so good news: She has mixed feelings about my ultrasound.
