Avatar f tn I have only irregular periods. . I usually have body pain every month and there is a discharge of whit some times....
Avatar f tn This is always frustrating. I know you say unmarried but are you sexually active? If so, rule out pregnancy. But otherwise, any woman at any time can go through an irregular time in her cycle. I sure did in my 20's! I got periods every 3 to 4 months for a year and a half. For me, I had a combination of two things going on. First, I had too much estrogen production (hormone imbalance) and a slow thyroid, secondly. Without intervention, both resolved for me.
Avatar f tn My last cycle was only 14 days before i got spotting and period pain and symptoms. I have had all my hormones, thyroid, premenopause bloods checked and all are normal. Its worth mentioning i am desperate to have a baby but am wondering if i am even ovulating!! Any insight or advice would be greatly appreciated.
Avatar n tn I found out I had an underactive thyroid and then I also found out I have PCOS. I am on thyroid meds and then I was on prevera and did one round of Clomid. They checked my blood to see if I ovulated, the blood work said I didn't ovulate so we started another round of provera and was to start a second round of Clomid. But I was already pregnant. I just suggest you go see your doctor and maybe ask to be recommended to a specialist.
Avatar f tn Hello, The cause of irregular periods could be due to hormonal imbalance, stress, chronic illness, polycystic ovarian disease, thyroid gland disorders or diseases, pituitary gland tumors or cyst, galactorrhea, prolactinomas etc. You should consult a gynecologist and get examined and investigated as soon as possible to know the exact cause of all these episodes.
Avatar f tn Hi, I'm about to be 32 soon. For the past 3-4 months, I'm haaving irregular menstrual cycle (ie; it starts within 19-20 days of the date of the last cycle). However, i never had this problem before and had a very regular and problem-free periods. I'm having a 3-yr old child and have started taking calcium supplements recently. Please advise if there is any severe (or mild) situation and what would be my next step to take care of it.
Avatar f tn High level of stress, dramatic changes in your life style, high cholesterol, hormonal imbalance as seen in thyroid problems and PCOS, chain smoking, may be some of the common causes of your irregular periods. Cushing’s disease and disorders of adrenal gland, tumors of the ovaries and adrenals, insulin resistance and obesity are some of the other factors. Prolonged use of oral contraceptive pills is another cause. Other important local causes of irregular periods are PCOS and fibroid uterus.

Avatar f tn You should consult a gynecologist and get examined and investigated if the irregularity in periods persists. It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided. For exact diagnosis, you are requested to consult your doctor. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care and please do keep me posted on how you are doing.

Avatar n tn I'm having irregular periods and i got periods after 6 months. Now still bleeding for 12 days. Why will be the reason?
Avatar f tn I had a slow working thyroid as well as I produced too much estrogen. And there is a huge link between a slow thyroid and depression as if one will so often cause the other. So, I worked on the depression only in terms of what I actually treated. Whether coincidence or not, my hormones went back to normal and my thyroid went back to normal. That's just my story. You need to see a doctor to figure out what your story is for why you have long, unpredictable cycles.
Avatar f tn Since the periods continued so long ,then a consulted a gynaecologist. She adviced me for a Thyroid test and a pregnancy test.the result was negative. My TSH was 8.68mclU/ml,T3 was 1.16 ng/ml and T4 was 9.46 ug/dl.Then the doctor put me on medication-Thyronorm 25mg and asked for an Anti Thyroperoxidase Antibody Test.result was 659.0 U/ml.But again my next period was again irregular(3rd july-13th july).

Avatar f tn I too have very irregular periods and now they have stopped. I am on levoxyl +cytomel. My Dr. says it's not thyroid related. current Tsh 1. My t4 was normal, and my antibodies have dropped. I too have taken 3 preg. tests and they are all negative. I had my hormones tested and my ob says they are fine. ????? i don't get it. I have just chalked it up to the hashimoto's.
Avatar f tn I talked to my mom and she told me that its normal. and after that i had irregular periods till now. but i think mine are caused by climatic changes i travell quite a lot What i would advice you to do is go to a gynecologist and one thing you should know about them is that they are very secretive and you dont really have to be worried. I Know at your age you love having your own privacy and secrets but you have to open up to your mom for your health's sake.

5838296 tn?1375195204 I'm 20 year old as of last month and my periods are extremely irregular. I started having them when I was 13, but even then they have never been on a regular monthly schedule. Its always been 2-7 times a year. Now that I'm no longer a teenager this is really worrying me. I'm starting to gain weight (I'm a little under weight for my height), taking supplements, fixing my diet, and regular exercise. 2 months ago I was spotting but no period the day after.
Avatar f tn Stress, pregnancy, hormonal imbalances, thyroid disorders, hyperprolactinimea and ovulation dysfunction are few causes of delayed periods. You need evaluation for above mentioned causes in the form of pelvic scan, hormonal assay, serum prolactin levels and thyroid tests. Keep me posted. Best luck and regards!
