1513651 tn?1290387289 we brought him home 2 days ago and applied the Revolution and he is on an antibiotic. He continues to throw up but seems fine otherwise. Because he had worms so bad the vet wants to give him another treatment of the Revolution, He is on dry cat food and water. He begs for food all the time and we cannot leave food out on the counter as he is (dumpster diving) here in the kitchen. I am very concerned about the throwing up. Do you think this will end eventually?
Avatar m tn He sometimes will throw up after eating his food if he doesnt chew it enough. Any way tonight I came home from work and he had throw at least 4 diff. times in diff spots. It is brown and liquid like and doesnt seem to have food mixed in with it. Also he usually hops in bed with me but has been sitting by the door to go outside which is unusual. I have also noticed a lump or pouch type thing in his lower abdomen which I made an apt. for at the vet to have checked.
823825 tn?1265071431 hi i just throw up a lil of blood is that okay during pregnancy is it because i didnt eat nothing but i wasnt hungry anyone help plz?
Avatar f tn Im 20w6d and was just given meds to help with nausea because I was throwing up so bad that I ended up coughing up blood. It was just broken capillaries in my throat. Nothing to worry about. But still call your doctor.
Avatar m tn Hi there, Our male ginger cat throws up too sometimes and it's also at night. The throw up is brown liquid. In fact, he threw up this morning in his little fur bed and I found a furball as part of the throw up ( sorry to be so graphic). We give him antihairball paste too sometimes. Our cat is also eating and drinking normally. I will have to begin brushing him even more often. He loves the antihairball paste which we purchased at Pet Value.
Avatar f tn This started almost a month ago (it will be a month in 4 days). When she did eat, she would throw it up almost instantly. It got to the point where I would come home and find several piles of puke every where. She won't eat anything now. She barely even drinks her water. I have tried all her favorites, wet food, and even baby food (ground up chicken), but she won't touch it. It's like she knows she'll just throw it up. I took her to the vet a couple weeks ago.
Avatar m tn Hello, My cat has been throwing up a brown very watery liquid for the past few days. He will go maybe a whole day and not throw up at all but then overnight we find that he's thrown up 4 or 5 times. He still drinks his water and eats his food and seems his normal self but i'm worried there might be something else wrong. Oh, this morning in his vomit was a lot of little white pecks maybe a little larger than grains of salt or sugar. Thnx any help would be appreciated.
9571159 tn?1419571005 When did the vomiting stop? I'm 14 weeks and still throwing up daily.
Avatar f tn Is it normal that im past my first trimester & I still throw up A LOT? Is their anything I can do?
1320140 tn?1277986208 Have you changed her food lately? It could be as simple as that. But her continuing to throw up her food and lose wt could be a sign of something more serious. Have you considered taking her to another vet?
Avatar f tn I went to the er for same thing if you throw up blood and its darker it means its coming from your stomach if its red its your throat...
9877471 tn?1410981088 So I was attempting to throw up and with my spit it looked like blood came out. Is that normal III t wasn't a lot but I'm concerned. Should I be?
596105 tn?1314580333 I wouldn't stress about it yet. Does Oliver seem fine other than the throwing up? Cats will sometimes throw up 2 or 3 times a week-many times it's a hairball. They sell hairball remedies everywhere. Or, petroleum jelly(that's the main ingredient in these remedies). If you give him petroleum jelly-human formula-make sure that you read the ingredients. You ONLY want it to say petroleum or petrolatum. If it has any other ingredient do not use it.
Avatar f tn I agree with the above comment, certainly never heard of a uti causing you throw up blood..
Avatar f tn They said her stomach lining was swollen from her constant vomiting. The vet said that when cats throw up their stomach lining swell and it keeps swelling every time they puke and consequently they continue to puke when food hits their stomach. So they gave her anti nausea meds and re- hydrated her, the problem is that was only a temporary fix. She didn't eat when her anti nausea meds kicked in like the vet assured she would. $220 later, she is now back where we started.
4456535 tn?1355894638 I've had that for weeks now!
Avatar m tn So I'm throwing up almost everyday my moms says its allergies but it started in winter and my only allergy is pollin so the throw up is stuff like normal just small but it's getting bigger like the one where u must stop get a trash can or toilet and be there for a while someone help idk what's happening.
Avatar f tn All summer my cat has been throwing up stomach liquids randomly. Seems to be no cause. I took her to the vet and spent $200 on tests and x rays and what not and they had no answers. Recently it's gotten worse. She has not eaten since Saturday evening and it is now Monday afternoon. She keeps begging for food, but when I put food in front of her, she won't eat it and if she does eat it, she throws it back up. I bought sensitive digestive system food and that hasn't worked.
Avatar f tn Today was my 2nd time throwing up blood. First it was yellow then some red Started to show. Im a first time mommy so im not sure if this is normal!
Avatar f tn It sounds like it is based lower in his stomach, in other words not a hairball because he would be more likely to throw up undigested food if so. Your kitty sounds like he is vomiting after he has digested everything. Sorry, no ideas, but it does sound worth the vet consult.
231441 tn?1333892766 She does this very frequently now. Up until recently she has never done this before. Her diet is dried cat biscuits, she drinks and eats normally - though she does throw up if she eats a lot at once. We don't notice any change in her behaviour. Her weight hasn't noticeably changed. We have 2 old cats, 2 dogs, and 1 young cat in our house.
773801 tn?1244520679 Yes I have had almost the same argument. I also throw up blood when upset. Hang in there.
1900462 tn?1352775302 The nausea meds should help. Also sipping on water throughout helps too. It's so gross!! LOL.
Avatar f tn My little long haired White Kitty, would also throw up 3 or 4 times a week, and it did not seem to matter what food was being fed. I have her 2 sisters now and only 1 throws up about once a month but after having White Kitty checked, it was hairballs and she was put on a hairball control food. Hairball control food adds fiber to the cats diet and then the food/hair does not stay trapped in the intestine. It is the best thing I have ever tried. Hope this helps.
Avatar f tn So I know it's normal to throw up little bits of bloodif you're dehydrated and really straining to vomit..but this morning as usual I got up to get sick and there was like blood mixed in with my bile, not just strings like I get once in a while ...is this normal ? It really didn't feel normal, I don't feel any different or anything but I don't want to call my Dr if it's nothing to be concerned with, any advice?
203342 tn?1328737207 Some foods will make the cat throw up. I know some prescription foods and certain medications will do this. No matter what age the cat is, if a diet is doing more harm than good, and the vets don't see anything wrong with the animal, then I'd say change that food, and switch to something that is easier on her little stomach. Perhaps dry food isn't for her? I can assure you if you feed her wet foods that are easily digestible, you may see improvement.
Avatar n tn re getting him into a cat carrier without over stressing him and yourself. When he is eating throw a old unwanted throw over him, make sure as you pick him up, tuck the throw tightly around him so his limbs are less mobile and he can't wriggle himself out. Be sure to have a good size box nearby to immediately put him in. Leave the throw in with him (unwrap him of course) so he doesn't slide around in the box on the way to the vet.
