Avatar f tn The last meal has to be with 2 hours before you run...with one hour before if you are hungry eat a fruit or drink a tea..no more. Also don't eat too much fat especially in the day you have your workout.
Avatar f tn I would suggest that Covid makes everything a little more difficult. It seems to throw a psychological dragginess over doing things. So if your exercise routine isn't particularly inspiring, as Pax says, it would not only be hard to stick with in normal times, but to me it seems unsurprising that it would be harder to stick with it now. I agree that doing something that's a workout in itself but you like, is a good way to exercise.

Avatar m tn It is always good to be hydrated before cardio workout, Just keep it to one glass. If you want to maximize your cardio try 1 banana 45 minutes before. This doesn't affect the fat that you are going to burn and will give you the energy you'll need to perfom better. Also try to eat some carbs after, honey, oat etc. This will increase the amount of glycose stored in your liver and give you more endurance the next time you're going to train.

Avatar m tn I used to sleep 5 hours and be ready for a full day of school, workout, etc....now I hate getting up! I have been having problems for a few months now. I do take Nucynta ER 2x daily. I also drink relatively small amounts of caffeine (none after 2pm) during the day. (I have tried cutting it all out.) I have been diagnosed with a genetic condition (Ehlers-Danlos Syndrome) that does cause pain (if that is of any use to you). I'm 18 y/o. Any replies are greatly appreciated!!! Thanks so much!

14991338 tn?1447193706 It is possible your anxiety while you workout is putting your bp over the edge. It does raise some naturally after a workout and the anxiety may be making it go higher. If you had a clean bill of health with your tests then I would work on this fear you have that is impacting your well being. We are all going to die. Living in fear of it will rob you of your happiness. So just drink lots of water when you are working out and try to do a proper cool down.

Avatar f tn Did you throw up before or after the workout? Perhaps the peanut granola bar was not the best thing to put in your stomach... a yogurt might have been better.
Avatar m tn The hard part is getting started becuz, like you, my energy level is a bit off..ok way off...but after the workout, I eat better, feel like i have more energy and i think it may help with the sleep eventually. What really drives me though is the sweat...i believe, and may even be right (anyone?), that sweating will help get rid of any toxins you may have left in your body after opiates or anything else...just my thoughts...i'm no doc :-) good luck...

I hate the spotting but have learned to see it as normal. Is it normal? I'm 22. I would say I'm in good health. I used to jog 4 miles daily. 2 or 4 miles I spot anyway. Does this happen to anyone else?

Avatar f tn PVC's after workout are 100% normal. They're actually more likely to happen after exercise. In a structurally normal heart PVC's can't harm you. Just about everyone gets them.

I think it was an anxiety attack but not sure. Everything I read says exercise should decrease stress. So I was wondering why and what would trigger a panic attack after exercise. It was a good workout and I had positive thoughts throughout.

Avatar n tn Hello, my problem is a bit detailed but please hear me out. I'm very frustrated. About 1 and 1/2 months ago, I decided to start working out (lifting weights). I've worked out for 2-3 years about 12 years ago. I've had no trouble sleeping. So, I went into it hard. First time, my workout was intense using heavy weights. I'm skinny and really not in shape so doing squats with 25 LBS dumbbell on each side was pretty challenging at 12 reps. I did other exercises for about 1 hour.

Avatar f tn Have your doctor check you for whooping cough. If you cough so hard that you throw up, it may be that. If you have GERD or Reflux, you may not necessarily have heartburn or chestpain. Your stomach may secrete extra acid and this will cause symptoms like coughing/choking. If you do have GERD the medicine NEXIUM would help tremdously.
