I started having fever about 3 weeks back with swollen tonsils and ulcers. I was diagnosed strep throat and started taking medicines but after 4 days, my fever went up to 105-106 range. Test results showed no strep throat, flu, swine etc.
I rushed to emergency and they diagnosed me for Pharynogontonsillitis. For a week before I went to emergency I barely could swallow anything. I grew weak and they gave me Glucose by drip and also Decadron.
we had unprotected oral sex. after a week i had a nasty sore throat with white patches, i also have a fever during that time. i went to the ENT doctor and gave me clindamycin 300mg 4x a day for 1 week and it cured my throat. on december 2012 i had an ulcer all over my mouth most of them on and under my tongue and it was very painful. im having difficulty eating and drinking.
I had unprotected sex around early January and a few weeks later developed a mouth ulcer. I have never had a mouth ulcer before and was wondering if this could be a sign of an acute HIV infection. I dont' have any of the other symptoms...no fever, rashes, sore throat, swollen lymph nodes...etc.
does anyone have any suggestions. It's not three months yet so I can't get tested.
Sometimes he will have a runny nose as well but most of the time it is just the fever and lack of appetite that is present. His throat will be very red, and sometimes he has ulcers in his throat as well. His doctor says that it probably starts with a viral infection and then causes his throat to become very infected. The doctor also says that he could be picking up bacteria from his hands. Toddlers tend to put their hands in their mouths alot ( and my son ***** his thumb when he is sleepy).
i read some where that gargling salt water wud ease the throat pain but it made it even worse .. has any one heard of pple getting sore throat and throat ulcers as an ars symptom ?? or could it be some other oral std ( we engaged in deep kissing for about 30 minutes and she usually gives unprotected bj to all her other clients ..
gp diagnosed me with tonsilitis got tested same day at sex clinic and a week later tested positive for throat gonorrhea. symptoms were inflammed right tonsil with ulcers, fever, night sweats and sore throat-hard to swallow. gp diagnosed antibiotics and throat specialist booked me in for tonsilectomy on oct 17th. sex clinic prescribed antibiotic injection and 2 pills to take orally.
7 days since that treatment from sex clinic and its all calmed down now.
Long story short, I was on vacation last week and went horseback riding for the first time Friday. I noticed after, I was so sore and uncomfortable. We flew home Saturday and Sunday i saw small ulcers on my vagina. One on my outer 'lip' and a couple on my perineum. No blisters, just sores. They aren't red or anything. Then I started to feel like I was getting a fever and I noticed my throat had white spots on my tonsils and it's hard to swallow.
m 40 and two weeks ago had lower back surgery. I had a small fever blister but forgot about it. Two weeks go by and I noticed all these ulcers in my mouth along my cheek and back of the throat. After 2 weeks from exposure, i had runny nose and mouth and throat ulcers. The runny nose have gone except the mouth and throat ulcers and thus feeling a sore throat.
I am really worried. Should the ulcers and sore throat be combined with a rash or fever to be a symptom of hiv??
When can i take a typical antobody test the earliest time after exposure??
25th day after encounter i had cold sneezing, developed into fever 27th day high fever with sweating , night sweats, sore throat , runny nose, blocked nose, dryness in skin, cough very less sometimes with yellow greenish sputum dehydration these lasted for 4-5 days.
28th day i started with diarrhea watery smelly gas abdominal craps loss of taste in tongue
i remained fatigued sleepy and tired during this duration.
I understand that if there are swollen lymph glands in ARS it is usually general and not localized and I as no trained provider cannot tell for real anyway. Fever went away at about 72-96 hours, sore throat about 96. Was able to work and just felt like I had flu. There was never any rash, nor muscle fatigue.
