Avatar n tn But, I feel like my stomach has somehow been displaced and has moved my esophagus with it and is messing with my throat. My question is, how likely is this scenario, and anyone who understands images of the stomach, could you tell me if it's normal for my stomach to move further to the left over time and get a more blob like appearance? Here are the images over time: http://duke3d.org/Stomach.
Avatar n tn Post gallbladder surgery problems posted by Marianna on August 27, 1998 at 18:08:00: I had my gallbladder out 5 weeks ago and am now having attacks again. They think my ducts might also be bad. The sore throat and gagging might be caused by the tube they put down your throat during sugery. I also experience nausea and that might be due to the body learning to regulate and store bile with the gallbaldder gone. Hope this helps!
Avatar f tn s any other way to help it other than remove it through surgery, and like Pegasus, surgery is the last thing i want. Especially considering im only 18.
Avatar n tn Hi Welcome to the MedHelp forum! Whether surgery will help or not will depend on the vocal cord disorder. Some times fat or collagen insertion to strengthen the cords helps. Voice can crack even in adrenal gland problems and low thyroid hormones. So get this checked. Also tumors of voice box can cause this problem and will need extensive surgery. Do discuss this with your doctor and get yourself examined. Take care!
Avatar f tn Hi, I was wondering if anyone had gallbladder issues as well. Ever since I ws dx with chiari it's been one thing after the other. I never had any medical issues before then except a cold or streph throat. Anyway, I'm suppose to have decompression surgery jan 17 but I started having pain on my right side accompanied by nausea/ vomiting. I went to my primary and she thinks I have gallbladder infection.
Avatar f tn After about a year I started having a lot of neck, and throat pain along with hoarsness, painful swallowing and breathing problems. My most recent MRI shows that the plate is impinging on my esophogas. I have a lot of pain in the front of my neck as well. Especiall if I look up. It feels like something is going to pierce through my throat. I have an appointment with a Neurosurgeon next week and am wondering what to expect. What kind of alternatives might I expect to correct this issue?

Avatar n tn Two weeks ago I had my gallbladder removed by lap surgery. Lately in the evening during sleep, I am awakened (2-3 times) by a sudden gag type reflex or feeling of something coming up into my throat. I also have an unpleasant taste in my mouth and wake up in the morning with indigestion and nausea. One opinion was hiatal hernia, but I didn't have any problems previous to the surgery. I did note my esophagus was quite irritated after the procedure and tender.
Avatar n tn m thinking that after 2 months, I should not be experiencing either of these problems. I know the cause of the low blood calcium, but not the throat problem and I dont know the prognosis for either of them. Please give me a realistic idea when, if ever I might expect either problem to go away.

Avatar n tn I recently underwent major surgery on my left side carotid artery. The doctor said also that I had serious tooth decay on the left upper side of my mouth. I had been having severe toothache in this area. When I awoke from the anethesia I had a roaring sore throat and toothache. They would not do anything about the tooth other than give me painkillers and antibiotic therapy. A day later I started to lose my voice and could not get rid of the sore throat.
Avatar n tn Magnesium is depleted during physical and mental stress and this includes surgery. Magnesium deficiency symptoms include throat problems (such as problems swallowing, tightness in throat, lump in throat or gagging), dizziness, tinnitus. Increase magnesium in the diet or supplement. Do not take magnesium supplements if you have kidney or heart problems.

Avatar f tn s problem will be solved by this because swallowing is a complex process which started from the oral cavity and if a pipe is inserted through the larynx and food is given through that then the vital function of the oral cavity gets hindered which might later cause digestion problems also. Give some more detail about the surgery the doctors wanted to do on ur daughter and what r ur expectations from that surgery so that I can give u some better sugestions.
