Avatar f tn I have problems with my voice and have for about 30 yrs.I got hit in the throat causing a bone that controls one side of my voice box. I don't know about that type of surgery, but if you were put to sleep they insert a tube down your airway and inflat a balloon to hold it in place. If it is not properly deflated before removing, it can also break those bones. That would give you air instead of sound.
Avatar n tn ve had all the tests, tubes down my throat overnight to measure swallow, how high the reflux goes (up to my throat), everything. The doc said I need to have the surgery where they wrap my stomach around my esophagus to tighten it to keep the reflux down.

Avatar n tn Hi shell, I am having the same problem you have described in your post. I am scheduled to go and see my ENT on Monday. Avatar m tn However, I had to go back in for a second surgery to correct the deviated septum, which created problems with the healing process after the first surgery. I saw later on yet another specialist, who is the guru of sinus specialists and he uses fibre optic technology for his endoscope equipment. This apparently makes a huge difference as to how well the surgeon can see inside the sinuses. He touched up some spots inside that were still giving me problems.
Avatar f tn The pulmonologist felt all of my problems stemmed from my last anterior cervical fusion surgery but I was not given a diagnosis? My primary care doctor just diagnosed it as COPD and prescribed one of the new combination inhalers and a rescue inhaler. Besides the shortness of breath, I have no other symptoms of COPD, such as coughing, etc... I do NOT believe it is COPD and I am at my wits end trying to figure out what is causing the shortness of breath and if anything can be done to fix it.
974371 tn?1424653129 Now, I am very bloated, nauseated and have some stomach pain, drier mouth and throat and thick phlgym. I feel nauseated in my throat, if that makes sense. I am afraid the bacterial problem isn't cleared up or is this the probiotic causing this? I have also been having problems with a very burning pain on the right side of my back, which I think is from a nerve. Aside from the chronic mouth and thriat problems, my stomach and bowels are the major problems.

Avatar m tn After having dcr surgery there was problems with the recovery after local anaesthetic. After 6 weeks it was decided to take tube out. Unfortunately it had to be tried without local anaesthetic. Thed opthalmologist was unable to remove tube. It was released from the eyelid. I have been told to blow my nose repeatedly and hope the tube comes down..Also he said I may have swallowed it. I feel I would know if it had gone down tghe back of the throat. Has anyone any experience of this situation.
