throat pain yawning

A few days ago, on Tuesday I felt my left side of throat hurt when swallowing and yawning and the pain kind of went all the way from the side of my throat to my left ear, I then took medications and put on some gels and the throat part of it fixed, now my left ear just really hurts from the inside when swallowing, yawning and a little bit when talking. Can anyone tell me what this is? Thanks! Also to mention i have no fever, no dizziness, it's just the ear pain.

Yes, you can get chest pain (pain in your breast area) from throat infections. Throat infection by streptococcal bacteria can cause heart affliction too. Similarly throat infection can spread to lungs and cause pneumonia which can cause chest pain. If it is accompanied by fever then high pulse rate can cause chest discomfort. Antibiotics given during throat infections can cause acidity and chest pain.

ll stop making the crackling sound for a little bit when pressed again. Also getting pretty sharp pain by the ear and jaw area when yawning recently. If I press it torward my throat a bit, it'll hurt my throat. The doctors tell me it's mostly from smoking and stress. I also have a bit harder time swallowing saliva on that side, which the unaffected side I can feel the right side perfectly. Ever since this has been an issue , I have had a pretty sore neck as well.

Then by time the pain became more aggravated by mouth movements like yawning talking ... Then few days ago the pain became persistent but in a low grade pattern like a cold then it became again burning severe after eating and aggravated by the same factors mentioned before ..

I was just in the ER being seen mainly for difficulty breathing. The only way I could describe it was a yawning feeling but once I took a deep breath it wasn't enoigh. I've had this breathing problem with pain for about three hours. They said it wasn't related to my Hashimoto's but they said everywhere that was touched in surgery was around the "yawning headquarters" of your body.

Almost every day I wake up of yawning every 30 seconds and I feel horrible in my chest because of it. Not only these, constant throat clearing is bothering me too, which also worsens the symptoms (Some kind of liquid from my nose comes down my throat feeling its stuck there and I do throat clearing, maybe not always, but frequently). One night in bed, I felt so much horrible in my chest that I almost had a panic attack and I tried to calm myself down as much as I could do.

I have severe throat pain on left side mainly underneath jaw and at bottom of throat. Seems to be set off by acidic foods, or swallowing bulky rough items. I have never had a sore throat like this before -- I have no other symptoms no cold, no runny nose, no cough etc. It has not gotten any better after a kind of 2 day onset 6 days ago. Yawning really hurts severely.

I cannot sneeze or yawn! I am just a kid. Right after I went to my bff's sleepover, at night, my mum gave me hot chocolate to drink. After that, I had trouble yawning. I can't stop yawning, and if I don't try to yawn, it just gets cramps it up my throat. Please help me in any way.

For the past 2 weeks I have had some difficulty breathing, excessive yawning and burping. I feel like I can't get enough air in with each breath. I am yawning aprox- 15-10 times and hour but I am not tired. I am also burping a lot or feeling the need to burp and like I have a lump in my throat. Once in a while, I get a really good breath in. It doesn't seem to be exacerbated with exercise. Actually, it is worst when I am sitting down working or reading.

It is a wierd sore throat that is slightly to my left and in the front, it is a pulling type of pain and only hurts when i yawn or swallow, sometimes it may hurt when not yawning or swalloing, and when it does it fells like it goes up into my ears. Plz help.

Both yawning and swallowing difficulties can be seen with MS, but I suspect your yawning, at least, was from the Lexapro. I had severe yawning with Zoloft, so much that I had to come off of it. I also have swallowing difficulties. Sometimes it feels like suddenly I have forgotten how to swallow. Once I get it started it usually is okay. It can be a symptom of anxiety, but for me it isn't. Anxiety is definitely not one of my problems. Stay a while and tell us about yourself.

t been already - as we all know from inadvertently getting water up your nose or inhaling something, that the sinuses do drain down our throat, so if you have a sinus infection or abscess, it could be draining into your throat causing the horrid taste. It's possible that if this is the case, you notice it when you yawn because just the act of yawning stretches the mouth and can put pressure on the sinus area, therein possibly causing it to drain. Are you running any fever? any chills?

I AM SUFFERING FROM EXCESSIVE YAWNING FOR ALMOST 11 YEARS NOW. I FEEL LIKE YAWNING ALL THE TIME, WHEN I GET A FULL YAWN I AM THE HAPPIEST MAN ON EARTH BUT WHEN I DON'T IT MAKES ME FEEL UNCONFORTABLE. I KEEP TRYING UNTIL I GET A FULL YAWN TO RELAX. THE FIRST TWO YEARS IT WAS NOT ALL THE TIME, I WAS FEELING IT FOR LIKE TWO OR THREE WEEKS THEN IT WAS GONE. I would also wonder if the pain after yawning might be metabolic. According to evolutionary biology, primates yawn when the CO2 level rises too high or the blood becomes acidic (respiratory or metabolic acidosis.) The yawn caused CO2 to be blown off and the blood pH to rise.

I had hypothyroidism and suffered terribly with thyroiditis. I am feeling nearly 100% better. However, I am having pain up in my neck (jugular region and beneath my chin). I am also having problems with tightness in the incision. It feels as though someone has their hand against my throat. I can eat and drink fine. I do have problems talking (longterm and at different ranges), with general swallowing, and yawning.

The pain is mostly dull and towards the back of my neck, however sometimes I will get a more severe pain down on side. (Sometimes benig once a week, quite rarely.) Over the past few days I have been yawning frequently and sometimes when I yawn the lower front of my throat seems to seize (stiffen) up and hurts. I get scared and worried about swollowing. Since June of 2014, I have had a problem yawning. Whenever I feel a yawn coming on, I open my mouth, and when I reach the peak of my yawn, it suddenly goes away leaving me unsatisfied. I am a former smoker (Iquit four years ago)in my 40's experiencing excessive yawning. Other than a day or two of real shortness of breath following a flu (H1N1 I think---was not tested) I have no other symptom other than this excessive desire to yawn as if I can't fill my lungs enough to get a good breath in, even tho I can and do. It makes no difference exercising or resting, in fact I notice it more when not busy.

Does anyone else have sharp pain in their stomach when yawning or anything similar??

At the very bottom of my right ribs, underneath a sharp stabbing like pain, and the right of the neck, top of shoulder kinda also recieves a sharp pain. Both sharp pains last only a minute if that. I usually walk around and just wait for it to leave. Only happens when i yawn or deep breathe and lasts not even a minute. Happens maybe once or twice if that a day. but after the pain leaves im back to feeling absolutly fine again.

I also experience a fullness feeling in my forehead, like an icecream headache. Sometimes yawning or laughter can trigger the forehead pain. Sometimes, I feel pressure in my temple area, not throbbing but more of a fullness pressure. Could this be due to a sinus issue? I believe I had a deviated septum but I don't have nasal discharge. Just have trouble breathing through my nose almost all the time.
