I have severe throat pain on left side mainly underneath jaw and at bottom of throat. Seems to be set off by acidic foods, or swallowing bulky rough items. I have never had a sore throat like this before -- I have no other symptoms no cold, no runny nose, no cough etc. It has not gotten any better after a kind of 2 day onset 6 days ago. Yawning really hurts severely.
Pain below ear/in jaw began about 6 months ago. Tongue pain is recent, ear pain and sinus pain/congestion have increased from allergies but were present prior to allergen exposure. Lymph nodes in neck are perpetually swollen but worse in the last couple months (again, possibly allergies?).
Other relevant/potentially relevant info: have reflux for which I am on Prilosec.
So I have a lump or inflammation of what I presume is a gland between my large neck muscle and under the back of my jaw line. Last week I was ok but developed a sore throat and headaches late last week and by the weekend I had a sore throat, vomited once and developed a sore neck and this lump all in the space of a day. I dunno what it is but if I turn my neck now it's not that painful but before it felt like I had strained a muscle in my neck and the lump itself is quite tender to touch.
Just to add that it's common to have a throat discomfort accompany jaw pain. When I had angina attacks, the lower jaw felt really stiff like it was difficult to move and all along under the lower back teeth ached. This always followed throat discomfort. The only way I can describe the throat discomfort is to ask you to imagine eating a lot of very strong mint sweets. Eating a whole packet very fast and then drinking cold water.
A couple of weeks ago I noticed a swollen lymph node under my right jaw bone curve. It was painful to the touch, including painful sensation/sore throat when swallowing, in the general area. I didn't experience any type of severe symptoms, such as night sweats or fever. A friend who is an oral surgeon put me on amoxicillin and the pain subsided. He also inspected my throat and said my tonsils were a bit swollen as well.
The most likely cause for pain along the jaw - if you have ruled out dental pain - is, indeed, Trigeminal Neuralgia (TN). The pain of TN can be one of the most severe pains known. This usually indicates an MS lesion somewhere from the brainstem to along the Trigeminal nerve which is one of the Cranial nerves.
It usually is severe stabbing pains which come with some sort of stimulation.
Still some phlegm but I had pain on the left side of my throat. Doctor said my throat was red so he gave me some antibiotics (amoxocillin).
Week 3: Still had phlegm in my throat but no fever, no pain, and no coughing.
Week 4: Same symptoms. I went back to the doctor and he said as long as my phlegm is clear not to worry.
Week 5: Went to another doctor for a second opinion. She said my throat is red and gave me some antibiotics called zithromax.

Oh boy, you're in that "fun" waiting stage between biopsy and results. It's like torture, isn't it? I hope you get good news next week.
I can't imagine that a needle biopsy could cause a sore throat and earache, but I'm not a doctor. If it does have to do with the lump itself, maybe it's pressing on something that is causing the pain. You should call your doctor's office and talk to the nurse.
Lymph soreness is basically it feels something is there and get pressed by my jaw bone but when i touch nothing is there no pain .... its not there 24/7 only sometimes when i move my head n my jaw bone moves sometimes i get this soreness otherwise no soreness.... this lymph soreness is sometimes behind the ear, under the jaw bone and sometimes its in the neck beside adams apple. This pain goes to my left ear.
No other symptoms, no fever, no cough, no flu/cold, no chest pain, nothing at all.
Recently I found a small soft lump in my throat under my chin at my jaw line. I have had a sore throat and then I notice the lump. My sore throat went away but the lump is still there. Sometimes I have pain in my throat near the lump but it only lasts a second and then goes away. It's on the right side of my face, nothing on the left. Should I be alarms or does it just sound like swollen lymph node?? Help!!
I have had jaw pain for many days, only on one side, now i have ear and throat pain on the same side, and my jaw hurts so bad, like I had been punched (or so I assume) really har din the jaw. It hurts to eat, and I have pain in my ear and a sore throat.....can anyone give me advise? Bad sinuses? Time to go the Dr?
I first thought it might be sinus drainage, but the pain is still with me (Today is Dec. 10). Recently (last few days) I have had pain in my jaw muscles, but throat pain had subsided. No fever (slightly elevated), rash, or diarrhea ever within the past two weeks. I have been getting single 'hive' on various parts of my body though, with a white coated tongue as well as chills in the days and night sweats.
but i mostly feel bumps under my jaw and lots of them now??? i dont believe i have strepth throat. but he ordered me to take a blood test thyroid.

on sunday my ear started to have the muffled weirdness feeling again. in the morning and the whole morning i felt. today i have again the ear like my left ear. its like im in a very quiet room with a kinda weird ringing wooo. like noise? like muffled covered ear. stiff neck and bumps under jaw.
I found a dime size painless lump under my jaw line on the right side. I have allergies to air irritants but I am not currently suffering from the symptoms and I don't have a cold. The left side has no lumps. Please help. (although no blood relation i just had a family member diagnosed with cancer in the same area) So I am very worried. Please Help.
It felt like I could hear my own heartbeat through it, but was really loud. A sharp pain would also go through my jaw and it felt like someone was pinching the inside of my ear. The doctors told me to get Tylenol 1 for it but that didn't work either, I'm only 15 years old does anyone know how to help me?
