On the 7th day my poop was completely normal with no mucus at all but still a little stomach pain. On the 8th day after (today) my poop is normal, but I had very little green mucus once and the other two times I had a bowel movement there was yellow mucus on the toilet paper. On a scale of 1-10, the pain is a 2 sometimes a 3, with a few times ill get a cramp that is at about a 4. The pain is more located in my lower stomach, but sometimes at the lower left I have a stabbing pain.
About two weeks ago I suffered from a head cold with blowing out green mucus, coughing up mucus, and etc etc. This past weekend the symptoms improved drastically but for the past couple of days I still have slight congestion with clear mucus and I'm constantly clearing my throat? I have no other symptom and don't even feel sick anymore. Is this kind of like my body getting over the cold or what?
Hello Back in may my wife had a cough and red but not sore or painful throat, she had green mucus in her nose as well. She saw our doc around 5/15 & the doctor told ger it was allergies to go home and take flonaise. So she did but it did not get better. So she revisitef our doc who thenprescribed amoxacillin twice a day for 10 days. Her throat did seem to get better, gowecer it is still a little red now but no pain and has becer had fecer from any of this.

I have no symptoms of anything. however my girlfriend went to the doctor on 5/25 for a bad cough and had green mucus in her nose. The doctor sent her home with flonaise. The flonaise did not help much so she went back to the doctor a week later and was prescribed amoxicillin for 10 days which she finished early in June. Her throat is still red and tonsils a little swollen, no cough and no pain in the throat. Is it possible I caught something and am asymptomatic with it and passed it to her?
It started out as a cough here and there due to a "Tickel" in my throat, I then had some light iritation in my throat and I looked in the mirror and had white looking "Tonsil Stones" on both sides and the tonsils were red. I went to the doctors and they did a strep test and it was neg, then they gave me antibiotics for "Tonsilititis" after a few days of taking them I started to feel better and the white stones were gone.
And It would be extreme thick clear sticky mucus, to the point of throwing up. The sore throat is on and off, but I think the slight pain in throat is from hacking up, so its inflamed, and so forth. But what really scared me is 2 days ago, I don't know how to explain this process, but when I hack up my phlegm its not by coughing, its by breathing in and clearing my throat (It sounds nasty and ugly) and bringing out of my nose sort of. It was strings of blood.
Anytime there is chest pain present it can be alarming due to the possibility of cardiac problems. But, in your case, I would lean toward respiratory or gastro-intestinal issues. The persistent cough, along with the possible presence of lingering congestion, could be causing your upper airways and throat to be inflamed and sore. Also, there could be a possibility of a hiatal hernia. Frequent or hard coughing is a risk factor. I hope that you will consider seeing a physician. Good luck.
That went away in a week or two, since then, it has been switching between being dry or having a lot of mucus (not creamy, green, or infected-looking mucus). I like exercising, but the dryness is causing me to have trouble breathing. The doctor told my brother that it was not mono and not strep.
Is there anybody who knows what this is or how I could speed up the healing process?
the cough was never continues like the normal cough which come itself but mine cough was something like force fully produced cough by itself(Remember that this cough is not due to the irritation in throat but was due to forcefull intentionally action produse very thick green/black mucus)and again it tooks three days to recover the throat pain but my temperature is the same like in the begning i still have blocked nose and almost no cough but some times it happen when after forcefully doing produ
Off and on I notice streaks of blood in the mucus in my throat. I have allergies and always have post nasal drip. The mucus is clear, not discolored so I don't think it's an infection. I don't smoke or drink. Can allergies cause blood in your mucus? I don't have the money to go to an ENT and my reg doctor told me he doesn't know. Oh, also, when I notice the blood, I haven't had a bloody nose or picked my nose or anything.
So for about two days now i have been having an awfully painful (in my chest and throat) cough, i have been bringing up alot of (usually)-thick yellowy mucus just about everytime i cough and a stuffy noise. Also, every now and then i am getting upper back and side pain (but i asume that the pain in my back and sides are from constintly coughing). The reason I was being persistent at coughing up mucus was because I felt like there was a bit of mucus in the back of my throat that was being stubborn. I could feel it hanging there and it was on the left side. I tried coughing up mucus as hard as I could even to the point where my gag reflex was making me nearly throw up. I always awake with layers or lumps of green nose dirt (mucus ?) in my nose. Also I have a frequent need to clear my throat and I cough up phlegm which is often green. I have thought it was associated with a cold but it has been there now for months or even years and I do not think I have a cold. Or is it possible to have cold symptoms which linger for months? Can I do anything to help this condition ?

Mine has lasted for over 2 months now, I clear my throat all the time, my throat is sore from so much clearing. I have a Doctors Appt. next week. Mine also does not wake me up at night, I love to go to sleep, because that is the only time it doesnt bother me. I see you posted in April, any improvement for you yet? Any adivce?
The answer would depend upon whether the cause of the excessive mucus in your throat or lungs is due to infection or allergy. Badly discolored mucus, green or yellow, would suggest infection. If it truly is coming from your lungs, you must have either acute bronchitis or pneumonia, either of which will probably require antibiotic therapy.
Hello and welcome to the forum. Green mucus from the nose is often a sign that bacteria is present. The theory behind the thickness and perhaps "discs" that you see as you describe them is that it blocks the bacteria from going further in the body. My suggestion is to go ahead and see a doctor the next time this happens as you may benefit from antibiotics. And if it doesn't happen prior to your next physical, describe the symptoms to them.
