throat

Avatar n tn Its the same color as the rest of my mouth and the only thing thats abnormal about it is that i dont have a similiar lump on the other side of my throat. There is some mucus build up in my throat and theres a slight pressure on both of my ears that occurs occassionally. It also seems my breath has been alot worse lately. Another thing i noticed is when my roomate told me it wasnt cancer and actually had a good argument the symptoms seemed to dim a little bit.
Avatar n tn Hi, How is your husband? Can you elaborate on the spots and lump on the leg that you mentioned? Throat cancer refers to cancerous tumors that develop in the throat, voice box or tonsils. After treatment, follow-up exams every few months during the first two years is done to allow your doctor to monitor recovery and check for a cancer recurrence.
Avatar n tn Hoping someone can help...I have had a feeling in my throat that is only apparent when I speak for 5 months now. It's like there is something there, maybe a lump, but I only really feel it when I speak. It's almost like there is something "flapping" and sometimes it feels a little lower in my throat, sometimes a little higher. It feels near my tonsils.
Avatar f tn There are many medical articles that demonstrate a link between HPV in the throat and throat cancer. I have had a large number of unprotected oral sex partners, and I wonder if there is a chance that I have developed cancer in my throat. The first doctor assured me that I didn't have cancer, since my symptoms have been going on for so long and I haven't developed night sweats or weight loss.

Avatar f tn Common causes are anxiety disorder, acid reflux or GERD,biliary disease, cranial nerve compression esp glossopharyngeal and vagus nerve and myasthenia gravis.Throat cancer is unlikely as other symptoms are also present along with feeling of lump in throat. The most common cause is gastro esophageal reflux disease - GERD. Diagnosis is by fibroptic laryngoscopy. Fiberoptic laryngoscopy also helps confirm the GERD diagnosis.

Avatar f tn For about 4 years now, I've had this weird lump in my throat. It's not there all the time but I notice it mostly at night. It feels like I have to keep swallowing my saliva. It keeps me awake and I'm really worried that I have cancer in my esophagus. I rarely get heart burn and it's the only symptom that I have. Is it possible that I have Barrett's esophagus?

Avatar m tn Is there a good chance of a connection between my back problems and the anxiety/lump in throat symptoms? Do these symptoms sound like a possible heart problem? Other than seeing a doctor, what could i do to possibly help with my symptoms. I'm fairly convinced that some of the symptoms are nerves, and some of the symptoms are something else. It's trying to figure out what's my imagination and what's part of a problem...
Avatar n tn I suggest you see an Ear nose and throat specialist. They will be able to take a look in your nasal area as well as in your throat. So suggest to your family doctor you would like to see your local specialist.
