I have been struggling with nausea and am now trying the acupressure bracelets, they really seem to take the edge off.

Just wondering. Is the Chiari awareness ribbon color a lavener or a royal purple color? I've seen them both. The one with the zipper on it that says Chiari is lavender, so I'm assuming that the "official" awareness ribbon for Chiari is lavender. Just wondering. I would like to start raising awareness in my area and make some bracelets, but don't know what color charms to buy. Also, sorry to flood the board with my questions.

What would happen if a person who has to wear constantly a gps unit on his ankle had to have an MRI?

Has anyone with just CFS ever worn the bracelets and have they worked? Does it help with the fatigue or oxygen?

my mother thinks she has throat cancer...i think barretts....since she was little she would always have her stomach acid flow through her throat.....( idon't know if that makes sense, like when she is laying down it flows back into her throat) and so over the years, her throat has suffered from the acid...she also feels pain in her throat...her throat burns everytime she talks and swallows (occasionally). her voice has became rough/scratchy. she also feels a lump in her throat. help me....

I was given a choice to either quit smoking and hope that we were early enough to have caught it, and hope that my throat repairs itself, or end up with throat cancer and all that goes with it. I quit smoking. My following check ups have been all good. I am LUCKY, because I didnt wait, I have lost to many friends and family to cancer, (on my husbands side even non smokers). So please dont wait, get to a Doctor. I may not be here today if I didnt Jump to it.

It helped to calm my fears and he talks about the same article I read which states high strain hpv (not the kind causing warts but the kind causing cervical cancer) is now a big factor in the rise of throat cancer. According to him less than 5% of people with high strain develop throat cancer. I can rest a little better now. Thanks again.

My husband has/ had throat cancer. He went through kemo and radiation. He is going to tested Fri. to see if treatment worked. He still has very bad breath. Also 2 other spots have shown up too. He also has a large lump on his leg.

I went to see an ENT and he did a scope (went in through the nose and looked down at the throat), I had a CT of the throat, and an Ultrasound of my thryroid and a Upper GI Series (Barium Swallow). There was nothing he could see from the scoping, the CT came back negative, the Barium swallow showed mild to moderate acid reflux, and the ultrasound showed nodules (which the doc said was nothing to worry about). All in all everything that was done did not show any type of mass or obstruction.

I suggest you see an Ear nose and throat specialist. They will be able to take a look in your nasal area as well as in your throat. So suggest to your family doctor you would like to see your local specialist.

Hello I have been having some Throat Tightness, Its a feeling like a choking sensation, it doesn't bother me all of the time just every now and then. I am only 16 years old. Sometimes I have throat pain. I have had this a lot of my life, it comes and goes, sometimes it will stay away as long as a year or so, but somehow it manages to come back. Do you think that this could be some type of cancer of the throat? I did have a lot of sore throats when I was younger.

At like Walgreens or Rite aid, or I would assume any drug store, they have anti-nausea bracelets you can wear. Just ask the pharmacy about them! They work! Or Vitamin B-6 100 mg 1 tab a day works. I'm on that now, it also helps promote a healthy heart! But make sure it's 100 mg tablet, and only one daily.

Try eating lemons and buying these bracelets called "Sea Bands". I swear by this. I was in the same position as you and my morning sickness stopped immediately.

Get seasickness bracelets from walmart... they helped me. I got prescribed meds from my doctor for morning sickness but really all it did was make me narcoleptic and someone told me about the seasickness bracelets and they worked like a charm.

thanks to you guys, i have inquired the allergy test in our country(philippines) its very expensive, i think allergy in throat and skin are not the same, my throat become ichy when i eat the food i mention, its likes i have pimples inside of my throat & very reddish color, what i do is gargle salt with water to kill the bacteria, its work for me i never drink antibiotic couse it will drop my immune system becouse of so much medicine inside my body like my doctor did to me he always give me

Then look into options like adding something to a shoe, paracord bracelets, and some people have even done tattoos. I don't know about the last... I don't have any and not sure if it will be noticed. There are a lot of options now. I make my own bracelet and use the cheapest emblem of stainless steel. I do have to change it out as I mixed copper, bronze and silver and in summer it looks awful and turns my wrist green when I sweat. I have had the necklaces and bracelets.

I would not assume it is cancer until it is checked out. It might just be a case of sore throat. I know that once you have had cancer you think anything that comes up is cancer too. I will tell you that both my daughter and my mom have the bracelets. You can get them form medic alert. Org or if you go to 50/50.com. Also most pharmacies and jewelry stores can get them. It is good for your son to have on this way is god forbid anything happens to him paramedics and EMT will see the bracelet and know how to treat you son. I personally, strongly believe in the use of some sort of medical alert bracelet or necklace.

suddnly they found cancer in his lymh nodes and ssaid that it had to have been somewhere else first i honestly believe that it was stomach cancer or throat cancer from the h-pyloi this scares me as i still have no ins.

Ginger tea and peppermint tea helped me. Also eating cold veggies (carrots cucumber celery etc.) helped. A lady told me acupuncture bracelets helped her. I've never tried it but she said it helped ease her nausea.
