As far as I know, lung cancer rarely, if ever, presents as a throat
mass. However, heavy cigarette smoking
does increase your risk of developing cancer
in the mouth and throat areas, so my first advise for you is to quit smoking now. The bump on the back and sides of your mouth may just be your palatine tonsils, which are actually lymph nodes normally found in that area. You may wish to have a doctor look at your throat just to make sure you don't have anything serious.
