three contractions in one hour

I think its common. I also failed the one hour and passed the three hour test.

Been having contractions that would last about three-five minutes every hour but still not hunch over painful. Should I go to the hospital?????

m not sure seeing as how I still have 5wks left but my friend just had her baby and she said something about the 1-5-1 rule... One contraction every five mins for one hour straight is a good indication you should go...

I got sick and threw up around eleven. I started counting the contractions around 1130 and after a hour noticed they were three minutes apart. Drove in the storm at 130 with my man and my six year old son. It's 6am and I'm still having contractions 3 minutes apart, but as of 2am i wasn't dilated. Now I'm waiting for the doctor to come check me when she does her rounds. Yum ice chips.

I just had my one-hour glucose test on Monday and was called today by my OBGYN who was as stunned as I to tell me I failed the test!! Did anyone else fail theirs and have to go on for the 3-hour screening? I can't believe I failed! I scored 163 and apparently you are supposed to be below 150. Has anyone taken the 3-hour and passed?

The result normally take a few days to come in and lot of people pass the three hours test even when they fail the one hour screening.

I am on strict bedrest because my placenta is grade 3 and ready for labor but when I wanna go in for the contractions they stop. I've had 2 children 1 with an epidural and 1 natural I know these are not Braxton hicks because if they were I would not be dilating.

Ok, I'm not new to this. I have three children, this will be my fourth however my youngest is three and I don't remember the stages of labor so help! This morning I lost my mucus plug, or at least I think i did. It was thick and clear. Not my normal discharge. About an hour went by.. and I had sex (my mistake) then about an hour after I had discharge and blood, it looked like spotting with discharge, it wasn't brown but it was pink.

All doctors are different but my ob told me unless I have 6 or more contractions an hour they won't do anything.

So for a little over an hour now I've had some pretty strong contractions. ( more like three hours but ive only started timing a little over an hour ago because they got stronger & more frequent) But their timing isn't exact.. here's the time between them so far.... 6 min 9 min 8min 6min 5min 6min 8min 6min 3min 6min 7min & I'm still keeping track. Is it normal for them to not be exact?

It could be real contractions just starting that would increase in pain over time. Are you timing them? After having sex it's very possible to get contractions, that's one way women try to get labor going if they're over due or just wanna be done! Time them, and if something isn't right you could always call and explain what's going on, or go to the hospital!

Have you had more than 4 contractions in an hour? And is it hurting more each time? Go with your gut I waited around for 2days with contractions and my daughter was stressed when I came to the hospital they almost had to do an emergency csection so if you feel its the real thing then go in.

While some women do not feel contractions, at least ones in early labor, there comes a point when they are very noticeable. The truth is that they measure your contractions from a big screen TV at the nurses' station so they can watch everyone's contractions together instead of spending time with you in your room. This is definitely one I refuse (except for the 20 or so minutes they require upon arrival to "prove" I'm in labor).

I failed my one hour, passed the following three hour barely. I'm scheduled for another three hour in two weeks.

I went in at 530, I was three cms so they asked me to walk for an hour, it's 540 pm now and I'm 8 cms! Had a hell of a time, epidural fell out at 5 cms so labored naturally until 7 which was when the anesthetist could get back in to fix it. It was hard, but now that the epidural is back in this is easy!

Lots of people fail the one hour test and pass the third that's what happened to me!

Haha Julie! No waffles this time, lol.Gpie- the one hour test isn't bad. It's this three hour one that s*cks. I'm in the final hour finally. The drink they gave made me sick to my stomach. Apparently it's twice as strong. It's just nasty. Kbuffington- that is terrible. I would hate to retake this. We're in the home stretch though!

If your bowels are irritated (from whatever may cause your diarrhea) it can cause contractions. That's how Castor oil works, it's happened twice to me, but they stop by morning. I've been told to call my midwife when I'm having contractions that last one minute, are 4 minutes apart(finish to start) for one hour.

Sounds like Braxton hicks contractions to me, but how many times in one hour do you feel them?

t find out more till my baby boy gets here in may the week after my seizure I started having contractions and bleeding got to come home to pretty bed rest the contractions had stopped till the last three days I have had contractions 3-4 an hour they r starting to get uncomfortable but not painful just need some advice please
