Avatar f tn I do some yoga. I tend not to do an entire program but I do use some poses and occasionally pop on my prenatal yoga CD for a bit. I enjoy cat/cow and tree pose and downward facing dog and child's pose a lot. Hip rolls and torso twists. Also do some modified planks now. I really fell off of my exercise regimen after getting pregnant but I do try to at least stretch every day, do a touch of yoga, and do some leg and arm lifts and curls with light weights.

Yoga is a wonderful low impact exercise and hope you will share your experiences! It builds our core muscles. Have to share with you that I popped out of bed at 5 am positive that I would just get up and "do" the yoga exercises on TV. My, oh my .. that yoga is really amazing! Just standing there in those positions uses your muscles and you can really feel it!

Avatar f tn Hi there and welcome to med help. PMS is a pain, isn't it? There are many items in the natural/homeopathic section of your grocery store or if you go to a specialty store. Black cohosh is good for menstrual cramping. Chamomile tea is good as well as peppermint for PMS symptoms. Chaste Tree Berry is one of the best things for PMS. All can be found readily these days. Evening primrose oil as well is supposed to be excellent.

The burning that pain meds. did not touch feel better . Plus the meditation with movement was great. The time went by very fast . can't wait till i know enough to do it at home safely. And don't over do it .
Avatar n tn It's a great addition. Yoga tends to be more mussel building and toning your body, when working out to loose weight you need a good combination of cardio and body toning. I love doing Yoga and it's very helpful to me, but if I didn't walk/run on a treadmill I wouldn't have lost any weight.

Avatar n tn I do basic yoga asana (asana means that it is less cardio more posture and stretching) since the beginning of my pregnancy. I will be 35 weeks on Tuesday and it relieve my minor pains (hips, pelvic, lower back, buttocks and thighs). It also help to have a good posture and strengthen your core muscles for birth and baby position. It is great to take that time for you to relax. Sincerely, yoga is a revelation for me.
Avatar f tn My sister actually teaches prenatal yoga. It has helped me with the pregnancy so far even though im only 10 weeks. It has helped me with pain, sleep and nausea. I have known people to do it all thru their pregnancy and they have told me it is a life saver when giving birth and after. It needs to be done regularly too. Whoever teaches you tell them if you have a concern about pain, stiffness or illness and they can change your session accordingly to help that. Hope everything goes well for you.

Another house, the wife was OK but the husband was pinned in the bathroom by a tree that took out what looked on the news like 25' x 25' of their house. The neighbor across the road from us (and uphill) has probably 100 trees on his lot, all tall, and I keep waiting for one of them to crash across the road, taking out our cars and/or kitchen.

My habit was exacerbated in college by watching my roommate with acne issues do extractions on a regular basis with an extractor tool. As sufferers know I began to squeeze/pick at pores that were totally fine and generated pimples as a result of the trauma to skin.
Avatar f tn I just thought I would share with the group, I just went to a yoga retreat for four days at Kripalu, the largest yoga center on the east coast, and met with their senior nutriotionist, who also used to work for many years at Canyon Ranch. Given my large range of inflammatory/autoimmune/immune issues, he suggested I cut out ALL dairy and ALL gluten product and just generally all flour, whether it's gluten or not.
