If you're trying to build muscle, protein is better for post workout, but some fruits are very high in antioxidants that help to control the lactic acid and other oxidative byproducts of exercise. Apples are supposed to be good for this, for example. Berries are great sources of antioxidants.

The Bayer A1cNow+ must match the lot number of the dilution fluid AND cartridge to the tester number or you will end up with a false/positive reading or something unknown, like "ldk". Re-read the instruction sheet that accompanied the tester, or go to the Bayer web site and locate the PDF file. Read nutrition labels carefully on all canned/packaged goods. Many products hide sugar under carbohydrates and/or with sugar derivatives.

If it's not low then it might not help much. Also Branched Chain Amino Acids are good for making protein and to stimulate muscle production. Glutamine, HMB, Taurine, are helpful.

If no change is detected it may be you are not pushing hard enough - "no pain , not gain" is one saying. Always be careful not to push too hard, here's were professional guidance may be needed - a physical therapist. This should also be covered by Medicare, I believe. That greatly reduces the cost of getting the "right" and "correct" advice...

My question is just recently I had a pre-ekg done for gall bladder surgery and they found arrythimias (that I already knew); but what was news to me is they also found Bundle Branch Block Right and bradycardia. I know on most days my blood pressure hovers around 125-130/ 70-80, but my pulse seems a little low around 60-65. Sometimes if my blood pressure is higher than normal I noticed that my pulse is still fairly in that range.

Avatar n tn I'm on the same page as you! Fasting high and throughout the day ok! I started with an a1c of 5.8. Now just started monitoring and hoping to get it down despite a high fasting. When I do eat protein at night, it helps lower my fasting, but I find it weird to eat when I'm not even hungry!!! However, if I work out at night, I don't mind eating a post-workout snack, and it works out well with a lower fasting in the morning because of my late night snack.
