I think the SOC is every 2 weeks at first and less later if all is well. The main reason for CBCs is that the blood can tank so fast - both white counts and red counts - and you need to be aware of what is happening. I think the once a week CBCs are a good idea.
Have you discussed with your doctor what happens if the WBC or RBC go down too low?
Will the Pegasus work without CoPegasus, I'm getting alot of side effects, I cant sleep and itchy rash's, I can handle the Pegasus alone but the Copegasus makes me feel bad. My liver function test are normal. Has anybody gotten rid of the hep without it?
Hi, I'm new here, and my husband is in his 10th month of treatment. Just had his second transfusion, and he isn't bouncing back. They upped his procrit, and he has had to stop taking ribavirin again. He's still on a half dose of pegasus and his viral count is undetectable. His doctor said he hated to pull the rug out from under him last visit, and it looks like I"m going to have to take him before his next visit. I think he may need another transfusion soon.
Just got my Pegasus and co Pegasus.Was hoping just for just the Pegasus, But there was a study that said non responders faired no better than responders on there study. Why this applies to me I do not know. I am a relapser. This cost the insurance company big money. Any Ideas? At stage 4 i have no time to wait. Have had the same issues getting into the studies. Relapser. Life can be hard at times.
t want to spend lots of money on something specifically for a nursery so went with a style that blends with our lounge furniture. My son is nearly 2 and it has been in the lounge as an additional chair for at least 1 year now. It will go back into the nursery when baby arrives. I found that there are so many things people recommend you have but they all cost so much money, cause storage issues or don't last long enough to get value for money!

they said no to the meds they have been given me since Aug 2007
so i had to get to the bottom of it. It was a nightmare. the ins company said they didn't deni the claim and the caremark said they didn't deni the claim. I was getting desperate I was still takin the meds. I called caremark to see how it was if I paid for it.he said for a month of the meds it was about $2700.00 thank God my claim did come through.
i to have the same problem. as soon as i lay down on lounge or bed when my wife comes close she tells me i have bad smell comming from my nose. and sometimes mouth. but mainly my nose. i have had a polyp removed. the doctors thought that was the problem. it was not but they dont know what it is. and the thing is i cant smell nothing. she says it smells our whole bedroom. can anybody help?

Yes different sized Peg molecule is very interesting but which is better no one knows, the seem to work about the same, I did both relapsed on Pegasus 24 weeks tx. Svr on pegintron 48 weeks tx. I think the most important thing is that they are both good meds and one may work better depending on the body chemistry of each person. Pegintron is smaller so maybe it can get into places that Pegasus can’t no one knows for sure.
Since my husband suffers from heavy chills, we transfer about 1/3 cup of the cream from the gallon container to a glass cup and warm it in a small crock pot prior to him stepping in the shower. Heating the cream also makes it easier to spread on the skin.
My husband uses no soap anywhere on the body but the armpits. He takes short showers only every second or third day. Not an ideal hygienic model, but he is clean and literally comfortable in his skin, and shows no rash whatsoever.

Taking something like Tylenol Paracetamol before the shot often helps ease some of the side effects. The worst tend to last to a few hours or days after the shot.
Since he already took the shot maybe he could take the Riba anyway just to see if he feels better. Meanwhile you could perhaps contact his treating physician and see if there is anything he can suggest until your husband's body gets used to the drugs.
