Avatar m tn t put sheets over my legs, much less a blanket or the bed gets soaked. I currently have 3 large fans in my room aimed at my legs every night, and it doesnt help much. My best solution has been sleeping pills and not laying down until I can't hold my eyes open so I fall asleep before it starts. Would love to fix the issue rather than drug myself to fight the symptom of it.
Avatar m tn however, while generally relaxed, I also feel very emotional, insecure, and a quite a bit depressed. The feeling in my legs is also very uncomfortable. Sometimes my legs feel very heavy. I also have the sensation that I am unable to breathe; not that I am choking or short of breath, but that my lungs are sort of "locked" and I cannot suck in air, as if the wind has been knocked out of me. Also of note: my feet and hands get very cold at night (and sometimes during the day).
Avatar f tn I read some websites that tell me it’s normal, and others that say it’s a sign imbalanced hormones? I’m still in my teen years and barely have hair on my arms or legs(not enough for me to want to shave).I do have armpit hair that I pluck and I’ve also noticed that I have little black hairs all over my stomach and some around the nipples. It’s somewhat noticeable because they’re black. I’m not too sure what’s concidered normal and what’s not. Any ideas?
Avatar f tn You are lifting weights and eating a high-calorie diet with a variety of supplements and testosterone, by the sound of it. Although a ‘usual thing’ in the gym environment, these are not things that your body would be taking in a more natural, farming or building lifestyle. They simply wouldn’t be available. I think you need blood tests to determine if something is out of balance in your body, e.g. B12, as deficiencies in that can cause nervous system problems like tingling and numbness.
Avatar n tn Hello Doctor I am 22 year old and i don't have a full beard and i also lack hair in my arm pits,on my chest and legs,i had a test a year back to check my testosterone level ...the range was 8-30 and my level was 13,i consulted a doctor he said your testosterone levels are ok,so what should i do now, increasing my testosterone would be of any benefit or it is just genetic?
Avatar m tn The injection is given deep intra-muscular and is quite often painful. The injection results in very high circulating concentrations of testosterone for several days after administration, with a progressive fall to normal or sub-normal concentrations over the succeeding 2-3 weeks. Due to excess and deficiency of testosterone in a fall and rise kind of pattern irreversible side-effects are very common. That is why they are usually not preferred.
Avatar m tn Arms and legs, especially the upper legs in the back. Very weak in the legs in the upper part. I have regained a little on the arms and calves but the legs have not and now I have very loose joints or ligament. That started about three weeks ago and now with the legs I'm having lots of trouble. Quickly, I had a fusion in neck 3 years ago and it did not take completely but last mri shows no change so Dr said leave it alone for now. BUT now the muscle and joints problem.
Avatar n tn Patients who have low testosterone levels often have other symptoms also like low sex desire, low muscle mass, erectile dysfunction, poor sleep, difficulty in concentrating, depression etc. You can get the testosterone levels done which is usually done in the morning and the normal levels are between 300-1000 ng/dl. If the levels are around 300, then the treatment is done with IM injections of testosterone given every 2 weeks. You’re not late for the treatment and it can be done at any age.
Avatar n tn I have lost most of the hair on my legs, chest, etc., have had extreme difficulty in getting an erection, have been suffering from memory loss which seems to be getting worse (Dr. has checked for dementia/alzheimers and says not to worry), low energy, muscle definition is disappearing. These symptoms have evolved over the last 10 years but seem to be getting worse at a faster rate. I have just turned 60. I am insulin resistant, but no other health issues.
Avatar n tn 14 and my Testosterone was also elevated at 79. During my research about high Testosterone in woman PCOS is something that came up more often than anything else. If you could please help me with any information available I would really appreciate it. Thank you very much!
Avatar n tn I have a friend who is losing muscle in legs & arms. Is diabetic 2, age 67 male. What causes this?
Avatar f tn Hi tmorr, did you have your testosterone levels checked, testosterone primarily controls the hair growth on the legs/underarms, etc. The eyebrows and moustache thyroid hormones. When things were bad for me nothing would grow, used to be a hairy monkey, :) so I knew something wasn't right, but didn't know what was the problem. Since doing the thyroid meds, the eyebrows and moustache (I would have never believed I would miss that) have not returned to growing as of yet....
Avatar m tn I am a diabetic and have peripheral neuropathy in my feet and legs .I was told it also might low testosterone. I am seventy. Do I need a specialist or general doctor to access the problem?
Avatar f tn I found out in 2019 I had low testosterone (0.6) and high SHBG (134), still same numbers as of June this year. Back in 2019, A doctor prescribed me AndrolGel. After a week or two into the treatment I had insane heart palpitations, high BP’s, dizzyness, sweating, headaches, the works pretty much. After a month or two of ER visits and doctors telling me it’s not the AndrolGel, I stopped it. Told me everyone has testosterone in their body speech. My dosage was 1 sachet of 2.5gm 1% twice a week.
Avatar n tn I'd like to know what my blood test results may mean. I've taking diet pills (ephedrine/caffeine) for a few years. In last year my endurance has decline. About 8 months ago I started noticing Fatigue, memory problems, body aches and problems maintaining erections. I started taking pregnenolone and 7-keto DHEA thinking it would increase testosterone. I finally went to my doctor 2 1/2 months ago. He ordered blood tests.
Avatar m tn Testosterone Therapy May Increase Mortality, The study, published in JAMA, noted that “a recent randomized clinical trial of testosterone therapy in men with a high prevalence of cardiovascular diseases was stopped prematurely due to adverse cardiovascular events.
Avatar n tn Not sure what the cause of the facial hair is as ovarian cysts do not themselves cause facial hair unless they are the type that secretes testosterone (very rare). If you have polycystic ovary syndrome than an imbalance of hormones can lead to increased facial hair. If that is the case the best solution is birth control pills to balance out your hormones. If you have a testosterone secreting ovarian tumor than this needs to be removed surgically.
Avatar f tn @kate my legs get all stubbley half an hr after I've shaved lmbo and my happy trail saddens me atleast it's not dark yet xD
Avatar m tn She immediately ordered (2 years ago) blood tests including ANA, a thyroid panel, and testosterone and free testosterone. All were normal. She ordered them in part because my sister has Hashimoto's thyroiditis. I don't know if those things are related to this pain.
Avatar m tn First, I'm surprised you mentioned having "short height", since 5'9" is just about average height. Second, your masturbation history would not affect your growth. You sound healthy and physically fit.
Avatar f tn ve always felt my drive was low but nothing like this. Could I have low testosterone or could it be something else?
