Avatar f tn But again, generally, that product, or any testosterone prescription, can be a problem for women if it raises levels too high. Keep in mind that many female athletes take testosterone to maximize performance and to get those six pack abs you see in high level female athletes, almost all of whom are taking some form of testosterone but know how to do it and when to do it to hide it from the authorities of sports. Men do this too, Bodybuilders almost all do it.
Avatar n tn Testosterone and many of its precursors have some similarities to what causes PATM. For instance, some women can smell it and others can’t. What’s funny about this is they all respond to it almost unconsciously regardless if they smell it or not. Most women at their fertility peak will find themselves sexually turned on near someone with high level of these compounds. This is why companies advertise pheromones as a good product in increasing your scoring odds.

20790871 tn?1507161421 It is difficult for me to pinpoint what could be causing this because a lot of things in my life changed when this issue started occurring. My diet changed, I lost a bit of weight(down to 6.4% body fat), my training intensified, and I started two medications for depression (Lexapro and Wellbutrin). I gained the weight back after I quit competitive running, but the hair thinning persists.
20000695 tn?1488217942 Nature has provided a host of plants and other substances that can help balance your hormones, which are right now way out of balance. For most women in the US, the problem is progesterone, but a balanced formula of plants that gently encourage the production of hormones can be helpful. There are some natural steroids that make hormones in the body that can help as well, partly by decreasing your female hormones and increasing your testosterone a bit.
Avatar m tn Testosterone would not cause this. You are right -- it looks like Graves. I assume you are not on thyroid meds (you mentioned feeling hypo, but were never diagnosed with hypo in the past from how I read your post). It is possible to use a medication like tapazole to bring things back into range, in the meantime - cut back on exercise until heart rate at rest is better controlled (consistently <80).
Avatar m tn hey man all these things you have suggested are correct regarding the causes. hypertension affects many actually all body systems in a negative fashion. I myself have been in strength training and bodybuilding for several years I was a lightweight when I started and gained close to 50 lbs of muscle after a few yrs of hard training and nutrition. it's a lifestyle for me and so when strength and size became harder to attain I resorted to other means (test) for the most part.

401095 tn?1351391770 I am also very interested in how the testosterone shots go.
