These hormones protect us from a number of health problems such as heart disease, mood disorders, memory and cognition problems to name a few. I also had a hysterectomy (not for endo) and it turned my life upside down. I personally cannot imagine trying to stop taking estrogen. I wonder if I should also use testosterone since post-menopausal ovaries produce mostly testosterone, some of which can be converted into estrogen.

The hormone loss (especially estrogen and possibly testosterone) after ovary removal can cause all kinds of health issues and make us feel like we are 90. These include depression, anxiety, loss of interest in life, blunted emotions, joint pain, loss of muscle mass, blurry vision, fragmented sleep, memory and cognition loss, aging skin and hair, the list goes on and on. The ovaries produce hormones into a woman's 80's.
Ever since the incident, I had troubles feeling emotions, then thinking and then expressing myself and being able to study or perform in tests at the university as before.
I still have this problem and I can't concentrate enough to read anything, no matter how much I try and would like to. This applies to any kind of text. I just scan it through. With the new semester beginning, I'm already facing problems and it's my final year - research project and lotsa writing.
Sorry for all your troubles! I sure can relate to the problems caused by hysterectomy! Mine was 8 years ago and I still mourn the losses.
Are you saying you have tried all HRT's? My gynecologist (my ex-gyn since my surgery) prescribed the highest dose Vivelle-Dot patch and it was a dismal failure. The only benefit was a well lubricated vagina yet I still had absolutely no desire for sex (still don't though).
At times while sleeping she wakes in the middle and does the same and giggles . Also , at times she talks about certain things which has no relevance in her or our lives .She was taking treatment for depression 7 years ago , but now she is not on any pills .
She is having some or the other issue health issue for last 10 years .
But long term use of testosterone and other steroids have transient effects and there is no scientific evidence that performance is enhanced. There is abuse liability so I would suggest you to follow up with a physician or endocrinologist for case to case prescriptions.

Suboxone not only effects sex drive it effects Testosterone levels. There is a lot of misunderstanding of this out there. Viagra and Cialis without sex drive equals an erection that allows for sex but no satisfaction to the male if there is no drive. Low testosterone causes low sex drive and erectile dysfunction.
The doctor checked my testosterone level due to and adverse affect of opiates, and I didnot have any. He put me on supplemental testosterone, but I have read it would come back naturally and taking supplements will stop the natural production of my testosterone. Anyone had this issue.

s disease causes neuropsychiatric disturbances, which include mainly cognition, mood and behavior problems and can be as disabling as motor symptoms. I don't see any connection with PD and hypertension. Its a neurological disorder.
Hypertension and high cholesterol is a cardiovascular disorder and are correlated.

came across a low thyroid problem one year ago and now facing testosterone problems im at total of 304 and I am having sex problems too.I told my regular dr. About sayd it was all in my head tht everything was okay. I went to another place were they do hormone test and took my own list of test I wanted done im not gona lie there were like 20 test I wanted done amr they were just missing 2 tht ran me around $600... I still havent gone to get my results.... by the way im on armour thyroid 30mg.
I am 55 years old and was originally diagnosed 33 years ago.. since menopause around the age of 43 the frequency of my outbreaks have increased exponentially.. and spread to other parts of my body. Last year they increased to basically being back to back, as soon as one instance cleared up another started and in January I started getting headaches that just 'felt' like Herpes.... attacking my brain.
It became progressively more debilitating u til he suffered a fall, fracture and, well you know the rest. I am worried my cognition and memory might have an organic cause besides my psych issues. My brain MRI report says "mild bright FLAIR signal in the peri ventricular and subcortical is present. Not a pattern classic for demyelination but this is non specific. Most likely representing mild microangiopathy changes." Should I get a second opinion or reading?

t faint. The baseline feels like I am lightheaded. Cognition is intact and vision is normal except during the presyncope attacks. Those can last minutes or sometimes hours. This has been going on for about a year. MRI, blood work and neurologist consultation all were normal. I also experience a fullness feeling in my forehead, like an icecream headache. Sometimes yawning or laughter can trigger the forehead pain.

Hi, I'm a ~41 year old male. I recently had blood work done and found my Testosterone is a little low. The "Free" Testosterone was 45 and the "Total, MS" was 217. It was recommended I get injections every 4 days to get those numbers up to at least 500.
In doing a little extra research of my own (because I was curious if there are natural ways to boost my numbers), I can't help but notice a lot of this could be due to diet and alcohol consumption.

I just wanted to see if low testosterone was still common. I failed to mention I am bipolar and been on many meds and also overweight. Just wanted to see if there were any males that deal with low testosterone. I already had planned on getting the test.
