Avatar m tn Many holistic remedies can be used on birds safely. The alcohol is added to the formula to increase the shelf life. You can eliminate the alcohol from the formula by gently heating it on a range or stove top until you can smell the alcohol vaporize. As soon as the alcohol vaporizes remove it from the stove and pour into a glass or ceramic bowl to cool. It will take less than one minute. Once the formula cools pour it back into the bottle using a funnel.

Avatar f tn Anger and aggression are part of "mania" in bipolar and mood stabilizers and/or anti-psychotics are meant to help with this. He has been in our family for so many years and he always sings to me, dances for me, and lets me hold him but he won't do it for my husband. I am afraid to hold him now as he is quite fragile at his age. I cannot imagine the silence that will fill our home without Pretty Boy. Is there anything I can do?

I am a smoker, I have a conure (Paco) and a keet(KIWI) I will only smoke in my bedroom or bathroom, I keep the smoke out of the front of the apt. Growing up eating venison and wild birds makes me an expert by this criteria, and believe me, critters carried very little fat compared to today's high fat animals and birds. I have found that eating whole grains in pasta and bread reduced my total cholesterol.
