Avatar f tn I developed yeast infection almost 1 month ago immediately after a course of antibiotics. I am diabetics over last 10plus years relatively under control with medicine. This tome the infection was while patch all over the penis head and foreskin giving heavy itching which peels off and new patches develops after 5-7days thus recurring. Initially as per GP applied Miconazole + Hydeocortisone togerwith Trbrinafine 250mg and Fluconazole 250mg for 5 days, but no relief.
Avatar f tn I have used terbinafine cream for a week and my fungal infection almost went away.but after a week i started oral fluconazole with terbinafine cream.after few days again some fungal infection came...is it the side effect of fluconazole. ???
1712311 tn?1308397237 They pop up in large numbers and are everywhere from my shoulders to my feet. Hands and everything. I went to the doctor, and he said it was a yeast infection. Prescribed me Terbinafine 250mg tablets, and Nystatin and Trimacinolone Acetonide cream. This has not helped one bit, and I am starting to get really anxious about it. Not only do I have these spots all over my body, but they leave white spots from my tan when they go away.
Avatar f tn Have you tried an over the counter vaginal yeast treatment? Some yeast are resistant to these as they all have fluconazole in them. The yeast are getting used to the anti-fungals that have azole at the end of their name. But it can also be Bacterial vaginosis (BV). You should get tested to find out if it is a yeast and if it is resistant and also have the laboratory check for bacterial vaginosis. Could you have a STD? If you would need to get tested for those.
Avatar f tn Disclaimer: sorry if this is TMI! Really seeking some guidance here I have been on birth control (same brand) for 4 years and I had noticed that my external vaginal area would be itchy periodically. That started about 2 years ago and I found that taking a yeast infection treatment didn't help so I assumed it was a natural side effect of BC. In the past few months the problem has worsened and the inner labia down to perineum and anus are now constantly red and more frequently itchy.
Avatar f tn It's hard to remember unfortunately exactly what it looked like etc but I don't remember it being red at all, there's never been peeling like I said the first issue was in the pubic area, there may have been a red patch or so but definitely nothing that was rash like. Is fungus easily spread? In terms of yeast? How is this diagnosed? There are no signs on the head of the penis, just the red scrotum and itchy pubic area, this consistent with yeast?
Avatar n tn I thought taking products containing lactobacillus (good bacteria) like Azo Yeast etc can prevent yeast infection to reoccur. But I have read that they can cause dental caries (which I can notice ). http://en.wikipedia.
Avatar m tn Hello, This can be due to yeast skin infection. The other possibility would be dermatitis skin. Most cases respond to over-the-counter products, which contain any of several basic ingredients: miconazole, tolnaftate, terbinafine, ketaconazole and clotrimazole. You can consult a pharmacist and get any cream or lotion containing these ingredients. Also use mild soaps and wear cotton clothes.
Avatar m tn t seem to be bothered at all by her apparent yeast infection (cottage cheese like stuff on the sheets and in the vagina even after a shower, unclear discharge, pain during intercourse etc), insisting that everything is normal and common — she repeatedly declined to see the free doctors here in Canada, and we don't seem to talk anymore because of that (in fact, she attributes our whole disagreement due to "cultural differences"), so it seems like I'm on my own, but she's sti
Avatar f tn I am being treated for yeast infection which has helped somewhat with the mucus. It seems a bit more of yellow color in the a.m. and I have frequent eye infections. As well I have extremely itchy anus with cracks. All this is making me miserable. Brainfog is a major problem but seems to be getting better since the yeast treatment. Also wondering why I crave alcohol before my periods.
Avatar f tn Hi betho8477, I looked at your original message and you shouldn't use baking soda to try to get rid of the yeast or really any douche. The baking soda causes the wrong pH and can actually make things worse. The vagina is really self cleansing. You don't want to make it worse. I know you have yeast infection but still I would stick to anti-yeast (fungal) medication. But, yes I would try to insist that they identify this yeast to the species level.
Avatar n tn She should get treated for thrush/Candida infection (the most common type of yeast infection). If gone untreated or treated poorly, then it can spread to the rest of the body, which might explain her sores..although I'm not sure that it can cause sores. Not a lot of research has been done for Candida infections. Either way, it's difficult to spread to males because the male reproductive organs are enclosed. Usually you'll just have irritation.
Avatar m tn they are slightly raised but not very much, it is almost unnoticable. after doing some research i am beginning to think it is a yeast infection, but the thing about that is i hav no itchiness or anything on the head of my penis. any help would be greatly appreciated, as i havnt had sex with anybody except my gf, so if i have an STD she obviosuly fooling around on me. thanks!!!

Avatar f tn I know that is terrible. Did you try the terbinafine (lamisil)? or just one of the OTC yeast preps? A lot of the yeast are resistant to the ones that have the ingredient with azole at the end like fluconazole. But you could have something else. You should get diagnosed to see if you have a yeast or trichomomanas (if you had unprotected sex with someone you don't know well), or because you use a douce (cleaning agent) which can cause Bacterial vaginosis (BV).
Avatar f tn Hi About 2 months ago now I had an encounter with a sex worker. We did not have sex or oral sex. She rubbed her vagina for a few seconds then rubbed the tip of my penis for a few seconds then gave me a very brief handjob before I stopped it. The next day I noticed a bit of redness on my penis and didn't think anything of it. But gradually I realised there was some red dots around my penis after I masturbate and ejaculate.
