When I am not taking my meds, I am tired, can sleep all day, am completely unmotivated to do anything and do not want to socialize with anyone. I have tried several different meds and am currently taking Celexa and Adderall XR. My psy says that adding the Adderall will "kick in the Celexa" and make it work better. I have a love/hate realationship with the Adderall. Although I am prescribed 20 mg Adderall XR 3 times a day, I never take all 3 pills a day.

Hello, yes I have been taking this combination of Vyvanse (70mg per day in the am) and Clonidine (0.2mg in the afternoon and 0.2mg at night). I highly prefer Vyvanse over adderall because I do not suffer from side effects w/Vyvanse as with the adderall. The Vyvanse is much smoother than most all other adhd drugs. I have never experienced shortness of breath while taking Vyvanse, however, I am 25 years old and 180lbs. I am also a Registered Nurse.

ve been taking his 40mg vyvanse here and there and it made me feel fantastic. Then last week I took one and I felt like how all of you were explaining. I shrugged it off and just thought it was a bad weekend. Well today I was prescribed vyvanse. I've taken my first 50mg and I don't think i'm going to take the rest. I know I should try and see this out and take the prescription, I highly doubt I am going to.

YES! I'm a 22 year old male taking 50 mg vyvanse daily. I'm in recovery for alcohol and cocaine abuse. Been sober now for 10 months, and yes it has been difficult not to abuse vyvanse. Addicts think different than most people. We find something we like and all we can think is more more more. What I do is get a friend to hold my vyvanse and give it me as needed. I don't recommend holding on to them yourself!!! Bad idea!!

I have been on Vyvanse 70mg for years and I just noticed this morning after taking my medication it did not help me at all. So I decide to check my medication and sure enough it was half full, so I took another one and it worked fine. 13 out of 30 were less than half full, so what am I suppose to do the rest of the month.

he faked being ADHD???to get vyvanse from her. How the hell to you do that? And be on Ambian and restoril and Xanax??????? How unethical is that? I went with him to his shrinks office and she took him off the ambian and "dosed" him down on vyvanse...this was last June 2011. He was unwilling to end it entirely by late Nov. I ended it. These shrinks should have their licenses yanked! I was put thru hell for 3 yrs. not knowing about the vyvanse.

Being someone that has had panic attacks and taken all the medication you have listed over the years I wanted to hopefully be able to help you out. My Panic Attacks starting getting really bad to deal with at age 27 to 50. I'm 52 now and no panic attacks for the last 2 years since getting treated for ADD with ritalin and then VYVANSE.

Does anyone here any experience with taking Vyvanse for AD(H)D and Xanax for anxiety? I experience anxiety pretty much daily and my psych doc seems to think it's because the symptoms of my ADHD make me feel anxious and depressed. I am wondering if this is true or common for someone with adult ADHD, or is it just a symptom of the current stress in my life? Thanks in advance!

Wondering what nutrition choices, sleep patterns and work loads people adopt to better manage there experences with or without the medication. Also looking for information on dealing with anxiety as a result of school stress and side effects from medication.

No dose seemed to fit for me. But, I lost the weight I was needing to lose (20 lbs) and if I go off Vyvanse, will it come back on with a vengance? I have heard hunger just is out of control when stopping this drug. So I am afraid to stay on it and I am afraid to go off it.

Eating LOTS of grapefruit could increase the effectiveness of your medication, grapefruit effects the bodies metabolism (as do some other foods). If you are taking Vyvanse you should really be avoiding sugery foods any way.

My son has been takiing this med Vyvanse for adhd, so I decided to take it to see if it would help me with my depression and anxiety, and it worked great, I didn't have any side effect to it. This is why I ask if its okay to take Vyvanse for my anxiety, right now I'm taking celexa but its not doing nothing for me anymore. I've been taking Celexa for the past 3 yrs and I think its time for me to change my meds.

My Lexapro was doubled, and I took Xanax pretty regularly. After a couple months with a therapist and about 18 additional months of just taking the Lexapro, I've started to get depressed more frequently, as well as have concentration issues (which I always have had, but is magnified when I am depressed). I just went on Adderall (basically the same as Vyvanse, but much cheaper, and shorter acting so you take it twice a day instead of once) a couple of weeks ago.

I am taking Vyvanse and Prozac, and I'm having trouble getting myself to eat. I am still in a healthy weight range, so I'm not worried about that. But I've been weak, fatigued, and dizzy at times because I'm not eating enough. Are there any protein shakes I should try, or something like that, so I can be getting the nutrients I need? I hate most protein shakes because I can't stand the texture, and they're usually gross. But I have to do something.

Not sure about tylenol...my MD prescribed xanax and told me ibuprofen (motrin) was okay for pain.

My 10 year old son, who is ADHD, was taking 30 mg of Vyvanse and it worked fine for like a month and half. The doctor increased his dosage to 40 mg and it was working great, but again the effects seemed to have diminished in two months. The doctor recommended to keep him in the 40 mg of Vyvanse, which he takes in the morning, and in the evening give him 1 mg of Intuniv. After taking just the 300mg Wellbutrin, 5mg Valium, and aspirin, and 70mg Vyvanse, my pressure gradually started climbing; when it got to 149/89, I took 50mg Atenenol; over a relatively short period of time, it was back down to 129/79, but that's still too high, IMO. I'll survive without the Vyvanse; I'm going to see if I can't get my blood pressure down to a normal level with weight loss (215 now, should be 190 max) and exercise. Thank you.

Now, a few weeks ago I started taking Vyvanse and completely discontinued my Adderall. In fact I waited a whole 24 hours until my last Adderall pill to take Vyvanse just to make sure I was safe. When I began Vyvanse treatment it really worked. It kept me focused I was pretty much where I wanted to be. I had some tension and anxiety but I could cope with it. Vyvanse was giving me the clarity that I was looking for with some side-effects that I could manage, at the time.

Hi. I suffer from anxiety. I am currently supposed to take 2 .5mg of Xanax a day. One in the morning and one at night, but honestly I hardly ever take them. I take it when I have a lot of trouble sleeping, and if I have a lot of troubling thoughts and stress in my life. I take them as needed and don't want to become addicted to them or basically feel like I need to rely on them.
