Can I take tramadol if I don't have any of my methadone for tomorrow I don't wanna feel like crap so I was wondering if I would go through withdraws if I took tramadol

10 days off methadone but I used tramadol to get this far.Now I have to go through getting off tramadol wich has always been a very painful hell for me.Tapering was not working for me.Seems like its just as bad as ct.I am now at 26 hours cold turky from tramadol.I do know methadone withdrawal is not over yet. The tramadol I could never stand even under the best conditions.I did try the vitamins and whey protein.Feels like its not doing much.I don't know how I will get through this one.

Taking methadone and Vicodin together or taking methadone and heroin together is not "fine". Not sure where you got that information or why you're asking?

I am concerned about you going cold turkey off that amount of Tramadol. How much Tramadol exactly were you taking per day?

Could you clarify - is she only taking methadone now, or do you think she is currently also taking lortabs, tramadol, darvocet, flexiril, etc? Phenergan sometimes contains codeine by the way. But it would be clearly labeled.

Do you folks out there think that 2 weeks use of Tramadol I-CL 50 mg tab, taking 4 per day, will cause me problems with withdrawl? I have about 30 left and wonder if I should throw them out. They don't get me high, but thats probably due to the 135 mgs of methadone I take every day. Please respond folks, and give me your opinion.

hi kova, 9 years m'done. tapered from 130mg to 5mg. yeah, i reckon it might be tramadol now. mixed in with lingering methadone w/d's. fun. it's not all bad but i go through periods where i think i'm dying. feel like i'm right back at square one...yuk. i can only hope tramadol yuks won't last too long, a few days maybe!? can't really compare to m'done i reckon. so how long off for you now? must be... up around 50 or 60 days? well done!

Taking Tramadol with Methadone DONT GIVE YOU WITHDRAWALS!!! Fools! Both, methadone and tramadol are opioide agonists and taking them both at the same timewill make them work in synergy. Mean, effects of methadone/tramadol will be more potent, plus you are saying u also using Clonazepam, its strong benzodiazepine, like most ppl who know the topic, benzos + opioides = more potent high.

Confused I have been on Tramadol 200 mg for 3 years and i feel only minor back pain with this dose but if i lower it at all my pain go through the roof, but is it the withdrawals kicking in or is there really pain and if i go through all th getting clean stuff will i have no pain at the end..What's everybody think..

avisg is correct, tramadol is a sythetic opiate. While some doctors will deny it, tramadol is just a addictive and hydrocodone or any other opiate, the withdrawals from it are JUST AS BAD as withdrawals from methadone. I know this from personal experience. It may not be technially classified as an opiate, but it works the same way... tramadol blocks the same receptors in your brain as morphine does.

Well day 2 of no tramadol and I feel really bad. Last night was so bad with the sweats that I had to put towels on my pillow and bed. I hope today is better.

t think there is any reason that a person should take methadone to get off of Tramadol....especially if the methadone is making him so sick. Is it possible for you to get another doctor's opinion? I have been on Methadone since 2001 and for12 years I took 160 mg day. A few months ago my doc decreased my dose to 120mg day. Due to a mix-up at my doctor's office my script wasn't released on time. I think the tramadol will be next to useless when on methadone. Your current methadone dose will almost certainly block or severely limit the efficacy of a dose of tramadol. When i was on the methadone they used to hand out 'Pain Cards' These were like medic alert bracelets that had important information regarding adequate pain relief for methadone dependant people.

Hello there Cud sumbody please help me with this question,Iv been taking 14 tramadol aday for the past 2yrs,I used 2 be on methadone and am 5yrs of it now,I started taking tramadol because of a back injury and now I'm addicted and I'm fearing the coldturkey. Wud it take the worst of my coldturkey away if I was to take sum methadone for just two days and two days only wud it ease the pain of the first two days witch I know are going to be the worst.

I would think it would depend on how high the dose u were taking was? Im think methadone would be harder than darvocet. I took methadone to get off norco I had no problems at all getting off but I was on a low dose and tapered it every week for a month. After that was over my dr gave me a scrip for ultram 200 cr I heard all the horror stories but I thought how bad could 1 pill a day be??

On Thur I took 15MG of Roxi and then on Friday I took 10MG of Methadone. Since I am still in pain but it is fading I have been taking 100MG-125MG of Tramadol a day. I really havent felt any Withdraws from the Opiates except last night or day 3 had some sleep issues, and then of course the stomach issues. I also have the mental issues which are lack of motivation/depression but nothing like what real Opiate WD's are.

Methadone, Suboxone, Tramadol. I pray that you and your lady get clean and stay clean without the use of any drug, especially a maintenance drug. If you guys really want to be clean, and I think you do, then stop the drugs. Stop trying to take one drug to get off of another drug because this can, and will, go on for a long time. For the longest time the only time I heard of doctors giving out methadone was for heroin addiction . I guess they were taking the lesser of to evils approach .Then come to find that is hard to come off of as well. I don't know when they started using to DT off prescription pills ,Personally I don't think they should be .They are making things worse NOT better .It really upsets me when ever I here doctors are using it for DT.

Be careful!!!! I too tried to "fix" a hydro addiction with methadone....methadone is said to be the hardest opiate to kick...if you truly are wanting to be free of it all stay away from the methadone...your usage isnt that much..if you are just trying to beat the withdrawl aspect just know that coming off the methadone is going to be so much harder than the hydro if taken long term....
