I can personally say that I was prescribed 8 mgs of Suboxone and 2 mgs of Klonopin per day. I had been on the Klonopin for a while before I started the Suboxone. And I was very eager to get off the Suboxone, so I always kept my dose at the threshold of withdrawal...not taking amounts that would get me high.
For me, the Klonopin was actually a very helpful tool in tapering down my Suboxone.
7 weeks ago he went on Suboxone and started to take about 4 mg of klonopin and 50 mg of valium along with 50 mg of seroquel. 5 weeks ago, the doctor started weaning him off the klonopin and changed him from seroquel to trazodone. ( the valium was never prescribed..he just took that on his own ).
On his own, he decided to increase his klonopin dosage and add seroquel back to his regimen.
Is anyone taking Suboxone treatment for substance abuse? If so what's your take on using Sub as a treatment?
t seem to be taking away his withdrawls, he is antsy, has rls, hot and cold, sneezing, nauseaus, very very sick. He has been taking 24-32mg of suboxone and I thought that was a really high dose. He was on about 900mg of oxycodone a day, so maybe that has something to do with it? Anyone please help! Thank you so much in advance!
I am currently taking 16 mg of suboxone siblingual films. I have been taking them since 2006. I have severe anxiety so my doctor put me on .5 klodipins 2 tabs twice a day as needed. I feel great and sleep better than i ever remember. They say its unsafe but responds well with me. any harm in me taking the combined meds as need and not abusing them????
Just wondering, what are the effects of Suboxone, Seroquel and Klonopin? He is on 12 mg of suboxone daily, and is prescribed 2 mg of Klonopin but he is abusing that already and taking about 20 mg of the klonopin. I am not overly worried, just because he was taking about 350 mg of valium a day before going on the sub a month ago, but of course there is some concern. Any input would be greatly appreciated.

of klonopin for close to two years, combined with suboxone. I am now eight days off the suboxone and am so tremendously relieved to have this demon drug out of my system (although I know it takes two weeks to fully leave the body...I am feeling so happy to be eight days from it). My question, though, has to do with detoxing from the klonopin. I have never done a benzo taper and I'm scared to death that I won't be successful going at such a slow pace.
I went to a psychiatrist a little over 3 years ago to be detoxed off opiates. I was put on Suboxone 8 mg twice a day and in addition Klonopin 1 mg three times a day. I've had repeatedly asked my doctor "when are you going to wean me off...."I think I'm becoming addicted to these meds." His response VERBATIM was "you probably are." I am now more depressed, anxious and don't know what to do.
My last use of any form of benzos, was the day I walked into detox which I took 20 mgs of valium, 1/19/08 and then while in detox had clonopines. That was 1/20/08. I was put on Suboxone during this time and was still showing up positive for Benzo use 03/05/08. My last use was 1/20/08 as the Suboxon was working very well.
My question is Why was I still showing positive?
I been taking all three meds suboxone 1 day, vyvanse 1 day, and klonapin 2 day, I been abusing illigal drugs for past few years. coke and heroi in exessive amouts. I have stoppet 6 months agoo. igot married and have baby on the way. I am so sick of these meds. To me the same thing only problem is I work 80 hours a week and there is no way taking two weeks off. I been depressed past month becauss e work but most of it because meds I am taking.
I was bouncing back and fort with klonopin to xanax, back to klonopin..and back to xanax, I dove my Dr. crazy!!!and he told me..THAT'S IT..NO MORE CHANGING YOUR MEDS!!!! Like i said, he doesn't know about what I'm trying to do, I'm doing it for this psychiatrist who is prescribing SUBOXONE, i been on suboxone for 3 years...my clinic closed, i got referred to this guy who does not prescribing suboxone with anybody on benzo's.
5 in the pm when I went to a dr for pill addiction he took me off that and put me on the suboxone and gave me trazadone to help with sleep.
I think Klonopin is similar to Ativan, which I was on for about 4 years before and I had a hard time getting off of that... I had to taper off very slowly and by reducing the dosage by 1/4 each step. I would get very agitated and extremely nervous. However, compared to getting off of hydro's, the Ativan was not nearly as bad. Anyway, I'm telling you all that just because maybe Klonopin withdrawal is similar to Ativan withdrawal.
now that i made it thru the induction and have been on suboxone since may, i am now on a low dose of klonopin for anxiety/panic, which the klonopin DOES help. but it is extremely addictive, and i will be starting my taper off it my next refill/dr.appointment, be EXTREMELY careful with the klonopin...
t have a choice about whether or not I go on Suboxone to withdraw from methadone, it looks like a really scary drug to me, I am on Clonazepam ( Klonopin ) and I want to stay on it while I am withdrawing but i dont think you are allowed to be on it while taking suboxone, what other meds are you on while taking suboxone?
s website, there is documented instances of COMA AND DEATH associated with taking suboxone and benzodiazepenes. After saying all that, I take my 10mg a day of box and every now and then streetbuy a clonapin 1mg pill, or maybe 2. your eyes will get very droopy, your vision will blur, and you'll want a pillow and a blanket. all of which is fine, outstanding even. just don't be driving a car or at work or doing anything other than chilling at home with the netflix and some popcorn.
Well seems like you've been through a lot and some things that I can partially relate to but at least that's all behind you now.It's been 41 hours since I've taken any Klonopin and 2 + weeks since I've taken any Suboxone and I got about 4 hours of sleep last night/this morning so I guess the acute withdrawal is gone and I probably just have to deal with the PAWS and staying clean which I'm determined to do.
Where to begin? I need to get off of both quick, which one should I get off of first? I"m on 10mg Suboxone/day and have tapered Klonopin to 1.25mg/day down from 2 mg/day. I know the risk with fast benzo taper/cold turkey. I am trying to reduce both at same time and my body is screaming in every way possible. Stomach cramps, diarrhea, blurred vision, muscle cramps, INSOMNIA, hip/joint pain, nausea, vomiting. OH MAN. Any words of encouragement appreciated.
