Deffinitely stop with the phentermine...I'm not sure about the synthroid but the phentermine hasn't been studied with pregnant women however woman taking it with the other fen (can't remember the name) had a miscarriage rate of 1/3 as opposed to the normal miscarriage rate of 12-15%. Call your doctor to talk about your situation as only they and a pharmacist will know best. Good luck!

I developed hypothyroidism 7 years ago after having been treated for cancer I can't seem to loose my baby weight gain after having my son 15 months ago.... I want to start taking diet pill Phentermine (30 mg) 1x a day but I'm also going to be taking synthroid 100 mg 1x day is that safe?

i take 125mcg synthroid and take 37.5 pill of phentermine. lately been getting heart palpitations and anxiety attacks does that make sense?

Did you start taking the phentermine? How did you react to it in combination with the synthroid? I have been on phentermine for a little over a month because I had problems shedding post-partum weight, but then found out that I also have hypothyroidism and was prescribed with Levothyroxine (by the same doctor and kept me on phentermine). I was overwhelmed when my pharmacy printed out a long *WARNING OF DRUG INTERACTION* sheet telling me of all the possible side effects etc...

He thinks problem is due to the D3 levels.

I used to be very small. Went on Paxil and gained.. lost with phentermine. Now after having 3 kids within 5 years really did a job on me. Weight loss is work. Those pills only help curb appetite. I love my carbs so I need to take meds because I am simply too weak to resist.

Does anyone here have experience with Phentermine? My doctor let me talk him into it for weight loss last June. It's supposed to be only taken for 8-12 weeks, but since I've kept losing weight and my blood pressure stays low, he's kept refilling my prescription. I take 37.5 mg once a day. I know this drug is a stimulant, etc. and it can become addictive. Every once in a while-- like today-- I don't take it, just to see if *not* taking it bugs me.

m curious why more studies have not been conducted to study the correlation between phentermine and acne? Acne is not listed as a possible side effect of phentermine, but phentermine is considered a methamphetamine; methamphetamines are known to causes acne. I am a biology teacher and am frustrated that medical professionals are not confirming the overwhelming reports of acne being associated with phentermine. Is it a conspiracy????

If I didn't know better I would think they were mosquito bites! i was taking synthroid .125 when i was tested the first time. she said that my tsh was suppressed so she lowed me to .112. when i went back four days later thats when my t4 dropped so much. i stay tired all the time. like my eye lids are extremely heavy and its all i can do to do the important things like taking care of my family. i havent been able to lose any weight no matter what. she put me on phentermine 37.5 to help with energy and weight loss. this is my third day on it.

Has anyone tried this before and is it safe with taking Amour Thyroid 180mg. I'm 5'8" and weigh 152 and want to be 143, I work out 6x's a week cardio for 45-60 mins. and every other day 30 mins weight lifting.

I have been taking Phentermine for 2 and a 1/2 months now. I started taking it in April almost on the same day as my period started. Almost one week after my period stopped another one began. So I made a dr appointment. You are going to cause yourself to have heart problems do to the excessive amount of caffeine. Its bad enough that you run the risk of heart problems with Phentermine but adding energy drinks to that just adds to the risk. I took Phentermine for a while. I never drank energy drinks because I cant stand them but I now have heart problems because of the Phentermine.

Usually low, key, happy person. Was diagnosed with Hypothyrodism 2 1/2 yrs ago. In August 2010, finally got my levels to be within normal limits. Was starting to feel better, but Dr. gave me generic Wellbutrin (125) because i couldn't stop crying. Felt like I was starting to go crazy. Went back in Dec 2010 and labs showed that my thyroid levels were completely out of whack. Dr. increased my levoxyl to 125 and generic Wellbutin to 300.
