Avatar n tn i started taking zoloft 100 mg 2 times a day and xanax 1 mg 3 times a day and its making me black to the point i stole something and did not come out of it till i was sitting in a holding sell in hand cuffs what does this mean ?
Avatar f tn Before, my regular routine was taking the zoloft first and my anxiety took over and always made me so nervous in the mornings I would have to take the clonazepam shortly after the zoloft. Is there something stronger than zoloft that may help my severe anxiety better? Thank you so much.
Avatar m tn My mom is 85 and has been taking zoloft and paxil for depression and anxiety attacks. I have noticed recently that she doesn't smile as often and her conversations are limited. Does anyone have any comments on the side effects of taking these two drugs together? I was wondering if she is being over medicated.
Avatar f tn i called doctor and he says i am taking paxil and wellbutrin ........no answer as what to do...anyone k now bout this combination ??????
Avatar f tn My dr. After 10 years changes me from Paxil to Zoloft. I immediately was having withdrawal. Called him and he said to take a Paxil, I did he called me in a new script. But now I'm taking 40 mg Paxil and 100 mg Zoloft. Did he mean to just take one pill or or keep taking my Paxil. I'm not so sure. I felt horrible today threw up after waking up way to late. Very dizzy lightheaded. Balance issues. Bad headache.....this is day 4 I've been on both meds. Anyone have any advice?
Avatar f tn After recovering from breast cancer, I was prescribed a series of medications to treat depression and anxiety. I was put on Zoloft at first and then switched a few years ago to 40mg of Paxil along with 25mg of Xanax daily. I still feel anxiety and depression, however, and am afraid these drugs no longer work or that I have become immune to their effects. Should I be expecting the dosages of these medications to change over time? Is it normal to prescribe these drugs together?
527657 tn?1214051850 I read up about both but am wondering if weight gain is a problem with zoloft. As for paxil i gained over 25 pounds and now Im trying to lose it and it sure isnt easy. I found out you don't take zoloft at night but paxil you do. I have got to lose this weight.
Avatar f tn okay, I'm kina freaking out. My doctor told me to stop taking paxil all together and start taking zoloft. I'm scared to do this. Will I have crazy withdraw symptoms or more anxiety? I'm just really really scared.
Avatar f tn I had been on Zoloft for the past 5 months and before that Paxil (the lowest dosages for both). When I found out I was pregnant I stopped taking Zoloft but the depression and anxiety has returned. I would like to go back on Zoloft but am concerned if, because I quit "cold turkey", it's okay to do so. Should I ease back into it, or can I continue to take it as I had been? I've tried contacting my doctor but have not received a response.
Avatar n tn I had no choice but to go back on and tapering did not help. I had months withdrawal even taking Zoloft. My opioid withdrawal lasted 3 days and was not as severe.
Avatar f tn I am on 40mg paxil and 20 mg (break tablet) of zoloft. The zoloft makes me feel really anxious and almost like i am going to have a panic attack but the paxil is still working well enough to stop it. I am worried about when I actually wean off of paxil....if i am going to be a panic attacking freak again. argh. I am so scared to wean off. When I have lowered my dose in the past, I started FREAKING OUT and my face went numb, and I cried and screamed and it was ugggly.
Avatar m tn Wellbutrin, in theory, is supposed to counter the sexual side-effects of Zoloft since Zoloft is a soft SSRI and Wellburtrin a relatively strong NDRI at 300mg. Zoloft is also different than some antidepressant by providing better communications in different parts of your brain which might contribute to it's antidepressant effect. Anyway please be aware that when it comes to drugs, one drug does not fit all. Like one size of pants won't fit all.
Avatar n tn I researched Xanax online and saw that its horribly addictive and can cause seizures during withdrawl (ala wonderful Paxil) so I decided not to go that route. My doc then said to just completely stop Paxil and begin taking the Zoloft daily. Within 2 days I became super dizzy, lost my appetite, found myself sobbing over sappy TV commercials, and alternated between feeling starving and nauseaous. I'm now on day 5 without Paxil and am unable to go to work.
Avatar n tn If you have panic attacks like I do, then I would advise Zoloft first before Paxil. Zoloft and Paxil are the best medications for panic attacks!! But with Zoloft, it's easier to come off of and less addicting. Plus they work almost identical. Paxil has a more sedating effect and will make you slightly tired at first.
Avatar f tn What was the dose you were at when you stopped taking it and what was the dose of Zoloft? Did your doc taper you off the Paxil at all or just tell you to stop taking it?
Avatar f tn So I've been on paxil for 15 years and most recently switched to Zoloft. The only reason I changed was because I want to have children. Now, I feel totally crazy! Extremely anxious, but out of it. Having suicidal thoughts which is not ok. I have no desire to die. I'm happy in my life. Has anyone else had this problem? I feel completely out of control.
Avatar n tn He told me to stop taking the paxil and take the zoloft the very next day, and from then on. I have been on zoloft 25mg for the past 3 weeks, and now the horrible withdrawal symptoms have seemed to die down. I wasn't feeling quite up to par last week so i went back to the doctor and he switched me to 50mg of zoloft. I took it for one day and have had horrible akathisia ever since. I switched back to the 25mg of zoloft about 4 days ago, but am still feeling the akathisia.
Avatar f tn I'm confused -- are you saying that you're on Effexor and Zoloft and Paxil at the same time? Or Prozac and Paxil at the same time? You can't do that unless you've tapered down slowly off the Paxil -- you can't take two drugs that target serotonin at the same time if you're still at a medicinal dose of the first one.
219373 tn?1274921434 i have a 10 year old daughter who was recently diagnosed with aspergers, severe GAD, depression and sever insomnia. she is currently taking meletonin, clonidine and paxil. just prior to having her testing in which she was diagnosed with these she was on adderall for suspected ADD and the adderall was very effective for her concentration and focus, making schoolwork and chores etc much less stressful and frustrating.
Avatar m tn That is great but I once tolerated the SSRIs just fine and now all of the sudden my body seems to be in a constant withdrawal when taking Paxil or Lexapro (20 mg). Any ideas? Since being off of the Lexapro I am feeling very depressed. It has been just about two weeks of being off and I definitely felt better while being on the medication. Perhaps I didn't realize I am depressed and well as anxious. I feel really sad and depressed now that I am off the Lexapro.
Avatar f tn Is seroxat CR better? Will I get normal again on taking only seroxat 25mg two tabs at night and stopping zoloft by tappering.
Avatar f tn I do get scared because I was on the Paxil so long with quite a reprieve in attacks and yet Only on Zoloft for 2 yrs and got another bout.
Avatar n tn I have an anxeity disorder that triggers OCD and Paxil has worked very very well and given me a great life since being on it. I figure I should try something different to see if it helps the weight gain and if Zoloft doesn't work, or help me to lose the weight then I will have to cut off the wine and go back on Paxil. Suffering from Anxiety *****, but I would take the weight gain over feeling freaky all the time!
2102085 tn?1350866645 What about maybe asking your doc to forego the SSRIs all together and making the Klonopin a regular, daily dose? You may need a slightly higher dose, since you're already on it. Of course, Klonopin long term can lead to physical dependency and would require a slow, deliberate taper to come off. There are also some issues with tolerance, where you would need an occasional dosage increase to maintain the same level of effectiveness.
Avatar n tn After several months, Zoloft was still not working and was stopped. My doctor suggested going back on Paxil (post-college). So I started Paxil again, however, the Paxil had no effect this time around (I guess I used my one and only "get out of jail free" card!!). I pretty much gave up getting help after the Paxil didn't work. That was 2 years ago. It's very frustrating.
10361664 tn?1409609407 my dr has me tapering off Paxil im now on 20mg at night and im taking 25mg of zoloft in the morning....im having more anxiety and my ativan isnt working as well as I thought it would to help....the nausea is whats setting it all off...I dont do well when my stomach is upset is causes me to tense up and stress out which leads to panic attacks...I have been doing this for 6 days now with no relief all day...I havent been able to work like this...and im so tired til about noon...
Avatar n tn Fourth, go see a holistic nutritionist and find out what in your diet and life is causing this, and in the meantime try drinking some aloe juice and/or taking deglycerized licorice (DGL) and see if it helps, or some peppermint oil caps. This is a digestive problem, not something that requires getting on an ssri.
