Cramping could be from the nuvaring or from early pregnancy. If they didnt test you for pregnancy then you should buy one yourself to make sure your not pregnant thats the only way you will know for sure and if you are pregnant you will need to stop the nuvaring.

I went home on break and checked my calendar and realized i should have taken the nuvaring out the day before. I took the ring i had in out, and went back to work for four hours until i could pick up my new nuvaring at the pharmacy after work. I put it in as soon as i got home, thinking i was putting it in on the first day of my period so i would be immediately protected. I woke up the next morning and now there is no blood, so i must not be having a period.

how about birth-control?? will I now need to use another contraception-method or does hormonal contraception also work when you start taking it without having your period?

Are my chances high if I had been on the ring and he always withdrew even with me taking it out early and also if that had been a miscarriage, bleeding stopped 2 days after, what are the chances of me getting pregnant 10 days after? Thanks so much!

You started Nuvaring, it can take a few days for your period to start especially when your on yo ur first mornth of Nuvaring. It takes 3 months for your body to regulate hormones. Now if you had unprotected sex within the first week of being on nuvaring (if you hadn't been on another birth control method before) then it's possible to get pregnant. I was on Nuvaring for 3 months and had no issues with it.

BUT it does seem that alot more people get pregnant on the nuvaring. Like I said I NEVER take it out besides the one week. And put it back in at close to the same time of day that I took it out. And I do know I had it back in more then 7 days before my boyfriend came home from out of town. Guess I just have to wait and see. I have my yearly on Sept 2nd. Maybe I'll switch to something else IF I'm NOT PG.

After having nuvaring in for almost three weeks i started to bleed lite not spotting and its dark and not a pleasant smell at all never have had an Oder like that in 46 years and i cant stand it.Also I had very painful cramps only on left side. I was told not to leave nuvaring out for week that I should replace with new one as soon as other one was removed, so i did and i had severe cramping and kept bleeding the dark smelly blood again not spotting lite bleeding.

my doctor told me I was suppose to wait 7 days before the nuvaring can take effect after I inserted the nuvaring on the 4th day of my period.. I had sex with my boyfriend on two of the days before the 7 days were up.. but we did the pull out method. I have an ovulation calender on my phone and it said that I would ovulate a couple days after the 7th day was up.. do I have anything to worry about still if I didnt ovulate during the time I had sex?

I have been on birth control for the past three years, I was on yasmin for two years and had severe headaches and was then put on seasonique. I tried to stick it out with the seasonique but I just recently got so fed up with the depression and symptoms I stopped taking it all together. I stopped taking Nuvaring 4 months ago and my weigfht is rising.I have gained 9 kilos' in that time.I have never been so heavy before.My diet did not change and i train 3 times a week at gym. Nuvaring is the worst BC i have ever tried . I got moody, got vaginal tearing every day just from wiping myself, i got heave discharge, fatigue.... the list goes on.No-one knows how long it takes to get rid of.Even my doctor told me that it should be out of my system within 3 days..B$%^&*@#$ !!!!!

I hve been on the nuvaring for 7 months now. My in/out day used to be Tuesday. Last month I took it out a week early by mistake. I had to wait until the next Thurday to put it back in because the pharmacy would not fill the RX early. I put it back in on Thursday the next wk, waited 7 days again for the rig to become effective, but did not have unprotected sex until about 10 days after inserting the ring. Normally when I take the ring out, my perios starts within 3 days.

If your body unaffected by Nuvaring naturally had 28-day cycles so accurately that you could set your watch by it for years and years and this had all happened at a time when you had no influence of Nuvaring, then one could say you would be expected to ovulate on 6/6. But unfortunately, you were just off Nuvaring, and cycles can take a while to adjust when you are out of its influence.

I am also worried the paps and colpos missed something high in the canal and/or my HPV test was a false negative 2. Or could it all be the Nuvaring? Could the Nuvaring cause LSIL to show in the pap (an inflammation I guess)? Can one have LSIL without HPV? Could Nuvaring cause cervical ectropion? I'm terrified of what may come next!!! Okay so for the past 3 months I have been a day late on putting in my nuvaring. I use to put in on sundays. Then I put it in on Monday. The next month, Tuesday and now Wednesday. Well it's currently Monday. I usually have my period 3 days after taking my nuvaring out. It's been 5 days since I took it out and still no period. Should I be worried because I was being irresponsible and putting it in a day late..?

Hello, Yes you may need additional method of contraception if nuvaring is inserted on days 2-5 of your cycle. Did you start Nuvaring on days 2-5? If yes then you may consult a gynecologist before taking plan B.it is most effective if taken within 72 hours of intercourse. I hope it helps. Best wishes and regards!
