Taking lyrica with cymbalta

Common Questions and Answers about Taking lyrica with cymbalta

lyrica

394774 tn?1235070839 I had some lyrica left before being prescribed the cymbalta and noticed that by taking only one cymbalta in the morning and one of the left over lyrica at night with the AmbienCr I have been feeling a whole lot better. If the weather is bad then I take Vicodin for pain as needed. So maybe it just may work for you and in that sense.
735919 tn?1236444549 I am 30yrs old and i am taking Cymbalta for my Fibromyalgia pain but i have to stop it do to my insurance. It works REALLY well for my pain. I wanted to know if anyone is taking Lyrica for their pain and if it works.
Avatar f tn I'm still giving Lyrica a go with the Cymbalta. My PM doc wants me to take the Lyrica at 75mg 2x per day for another week, then go to 75mg 3x daily along with the Cymbalta. I do notice a difference at times, and my energy level has increased. I'm still not convinced that all of this pain is nerve related, but I am going for a Nerve conduction test with a Neuro next week so maybe that will provide a few answers.
4074293 tn?1351896693 Talking to the doctor next week to try something else. I also tried cymbalta and cymbalta with the lyrica and they did not help the pain. The cymbalta was making me moody and irritable and i just wanted to be left alone.
Avatar f tn t. I was taking lyrica/cymbalta until recently when it seemed to stop helping. My doctor switched me to lyrica/savella,and I am on day 11 of the titration pack. without any bad effects. My energy has increased, and I hope that continues, and my pain has been helped alot.
Avatar f tn SHe told me to keep taking Paxil for just a week which she perscribed me cymbalta for 30 mg for a week with the paxil then she has me on 60 mg of Cymbalta and she told me to stop taking Paxil when i start taking 60mg. So is she weaning me off the Paxil along with the Cymbalta? And is this safe for a week of taking cymbalta 30mg and Paxil 20mg for a week?
Avatar f tn I am still wondering if anyone has experience with taking any of the three drugs recommended for fibromyalgia, with having hep c? Mainly there are three only to treat fibro, Lyrica, Cymbalta, Savella. I have hep c and they all warn of liver problems. I am having so much trouble with fibro that I am wondering if the help would outweigh the risk to my liver. I am not in cirrhosis, at least not 2 years ago on biopsy, I was F1-F2. I do not drink.
Avatar f tn Any help with how to deal with this? I am currently taking Tramadol, Lexapro, Lunesta, B12, Vit C, and Iron tablets. I have tried Lyrica, Savella, and Cymbalta, but had bad side effects or no help at all. Thanks for your responses.
217229 tn?1192762404 I take Lyrica and Cymbalta and they help with the neuropathic pain associated with the Fibro and Diabectic nerve pain. The Cymbalta helps with a little pain. Side effects for me? I'm dizzy and sleepy in the daytime, but I take other things like Vicodin 750, Klonopin, Flexeril and Ambien, and Paxil. I gained weight with the Diabetes, so I can't tell. But I loved carbs before all of this.
712802 tn?1274645485 I just got back from my pmp and she put me on Cymbalta and is weaning me off of the Lyrica. The Lyrica helps a lot with my pain, but she is hoping that the Cymbalta will help some in place of Lyrica. She said if not we can try Neurotin. I have an appt with thee psych on Wed. I know you all deal with a lot, too. Thanks for the support and I hope you have better days too.
1316053 tn?1279509497 I used to take Tramodal and Zoloft together for fibro, but didn't feel any difference in my pain. I recently started Cymbalta but no longer taking Tramodal. At first, the Cymbalta didn't make me feel any better with my depression or pain, but after 2 weeks, I am feeling a little better with the depression and my anxiety. I too could not tolerate Lyrica. But I have rheumatoid and osteo arthritis, so the pain levels are different. Seems like NOTHING helps my pain.
Avatar n tn Also, how long were you taking these drugs when the problem with your teeth began? Were you taking a large dose of Lyrica, or a smaller dose? Thanks for responding.
217229 tn?1192762404 OK - can anyone who has taken Lyrica and Cymbalta in conjunction with each other please give me your experiences --- and how long you've been taking them? I've been temporarily "diagnosed" with neuropathic pain issues (think Fibromyalgia). Waiting on some final test results to rule out any other Autoimmune Disease - but I believe I'll be finally diagnosed as Fibromyalgia. My Rheumatologist / Internist has prescribed Lyrica and Cymbalta together.
5100586 tn?1363644754 I do not have any support and no one will listen to me about whats going on with lyrica. I just want to feel normal again and function normal before lyrica. I feel like I am going insane at times. I am so tired of feeling this way. Can anyone help? Please!!
Avatar f tn m haveing a flare up, I also take lyrica w/ the cymbalta. they seem to work well together. Goof luck with everything. rember that you are in charge of your health care. don't let the incurance company run over you. keep changing dr. untill you get one you like and knows what FM is.
761423 tn?1237203290 I was also taking Lyrica and didn't like the side-effects. Neurontin, I enjoyed less. I had taken Cymbalta previously and noticed a difference in the pain level quickly. You may do well with this. I'm taking the Sertraline now, but do not notice any change in the level of pain with this med. The Cymbalta worked better for me there. I hope you find the right combo to help you and you are feeling better soon. Take care.
1627868 tn?1333886342 I was wondering if anyone here has taken or currently is taking cymbalta and what their experience with it is. My doctor wants me to start taking this at a low dose, I believe it's 30mg once a day, to see if it would help with my pain. She said she can also add neurontin down the road if needed. I just don't know....
1577364 tn?1296689784 I have tried celebrex, Lyrica, Cymbalta and Savella and none of these provide me with any relief. The only thing that helps is Oxycontin, but drs. are relunctant to prescribe on an ongoing basis. Any suggestions would be really appreciated.
Avatar f tn I was actually taking Lyrica for Restless Leg Syndrome long before the nerve pain started messing with my world. Just a little input, maybe it will help. I hope you find something that does!
Avatar f tn I don't have a good Dr. I do take Magnesium, on 100 mg Lyrica twice a day. Topamax had overdose and how petrified of it, pharmacist error started me on 200 mg then went up to 400 mg instead of 50. Very bad results. Use to be on Neurontin but didn't help with he burning I have. Had problems with Cymbalta when I originally tried it but everyone is telling me how much better I'm doing. I can't tell what should be happening or what is side effects.
Avatar f tn I also have been on Lyrica with a weight gain of 43 pounds. It is really starting to drag me down and make me feel both tired out and no get up and go. My pain is in cotrol but my husband is also worried about the side effects. Is there something else I could take with the same effect on pain but that I could lose this weight. I also take cymbalta and celebrex. Please help.
Avatar f tn My GP gave me 2 weeks worth of samples of Cymbalta 30mg, saying it'll help with management of my chronic pain. I already take Wellbutrin 150 XL once a day, would it be safe to take both together? I had a bad reaction to Paxil and Lexapro made me oh so sleepy, worried about Cymbalta being the same way.... If anyone tried it or been taking it, please share your experience. Thank you!
Avatar m tn Hi Cymbalta, I have recently been diagnosed with Complex Regional Pain Syndrome in the right arm, I have now been on 100mg of Lyrica for approx 2months, with regards to side effects, I have none, however I don't really notice much difference in my pain levels either. I realise that the arm and back are different, but perhaps it may work for you.
Avatar m tn I was getting neuropathic pain, pins and needles feeling since taking the lyrica, almost immediately. it helped with the fibromyalgia, but never thought this drug could be causing these side effects...I stopped cold turkey and experienced extreme anxiety and paranoia and hypersensitivity, to EVERYTHING, jaw clenching, memory problems. The weirdest was the head, brain tingling. I went back on it for a few days at a time, not making the connection....
Avatar f tn I had been up to 4 Vicodin a day because of the pain, and with the lyrica as a side RX my pain med dosage went down. My pain decreased. I was taking 50mg, I was feeling so good I stopped taking the Lyrica, but my pain was too much, had to go back on it. The side effects I have were sleepiness and weight gain. So I take it before bedtime, and I work out as much as possible, this also helps with depression I might get due to having a chronic pain disease.
