653169 tn?1303446369 Thanks for info. I also am intolerant of almost all NSAIDS, but did get away with taking diclofenac last winter for a couple of months so I'll probably just go back on it for as long as my stomach can handle it. I have arthritis and fibromyalgia both also. Do you know if fibromyalgia can deform joints like arthritis does? Fibromyalgia is a fairly new diagnoses for me. MY DR. wants me on Savella for it, but I've tried to take it twice and couldn't handle the side effects!
Avatar f tn I take Ibuprofen as recommended by my hepatologist, but you have to be careful about taking it too often and never take it on an empty stomach. Tylenol didn't work for me either.
Avatar f tn Many conditions like vascular compression, compression of the spinal cord, cervical spondylosis, whiplash injury, etc may be causing the above symptoms. Try taking pain relievers (ibuprofen/diclofenac) and consult your doctor for the further management.
Avatar f tn However tylenol with codeine (tylenol 3) is as effective as the nonsteroidal antiinflammatory agents like ibuprofen and diclofenac. The therapy may have to be personalised also. You could start with ibuprofen, and if not completely effective, you may try tylenol 3. Best..

Avatar f tn I hope to go off it to avoid risks with prolonged usage, but up to now...it has not caused me any problems. I am taking with Prevacid to make sure it doesn;t upset my stomach.
Avatar f tn Question. I have started taking Diclofenac 75mg x's 2 a day to try and see if a non narcotic medication may give me some relief long term with my rib pain. I have taken it for 2 weeks and at first I didn't think it was helping at all. Now I think 1 of 2 things either A) it's starting to build up in my system and is helping better or B) My ribs just happen to feel a bit better lately.
Avatar m tn it takes time to work, about 4-6 weeks and after taking it for a year my father stopped with no back pain again. he used diclofenac sodico 1,00 mg.
Avatar m tn Hi, welcome to the forum, Nonsteroidal antiinflammatory drugs (NSAIDs), including aspirin, diclofenac and ibuprofen, are associated with an allergic adverse effects, ranging from mild rash to life-threatening allergic reactions. In such cases it becomes difficult to select appropriate pain killer. The next we usually recommend is paracetamol (she is also allergic to this drug). The reason for such allergy is cross reactivity which is seen in this class of drugs.
Avatar n tn Te treatment usually lies in local application of an analgesic ointment and oral anti-inflammatory tablets like ibuprofen/diclofenac. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care.

Avatar m tn Please try anti inflammatory drugs like diclofenac, ibuprofen etc along with hot compression and topical counterirritants. Avoid thick pillow, If no response is seen, do consult doctor and get Chest X ray, ECHO heart done. Do you get difficulty in breathing when you lie down?
Avatar m tn Apply warm compresses, Neosporin ointment and calamine lotion and avoid messing with it. You can take anti-inflammatory pain killers like ibuprofen or acetaminophen. If the lump persists then it will be best to get it evaluated from a urologist. Doppler ultrasound may be needed to confirm the diagnosis. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care.
Avatar f tn m taking (Rizatriptan, Diclofenac, and Fulticasone) since I have only started to take the medication last year. I was on ibuprofen but stop taking them since the doctor thought the bruising was caused by it. The doctors are treating the conditions that I mentioned separately. I'm not sure if they should be treating the symptoms together or separate. I'm starting to get scared, I'm just want to know what is happening to me.
Avatar f tn m not great at handling ibuprofen it upsets my stomach. I take diclofenac for the shoulder but I have to supplement it with omeprazole - again for my stomach. It was the dr that prescribed the solpadol - for pain. But I wound up taking it (& dihydroco) like candy. Last night - it was straightforward paracetamol I took. 500mg - not combined with anything. Thanks for the advice - like you, I would just like to be able to sleep naturally. No pills needed.
Avatar f tn As of now, you can try taking mucolytics (ambroxyl/bromhexine), analgesics (like ibuprofen/diclofenac), saline nasal drops and steam inhalation. Also drink plenty of warm water. If you are smoking, please do refrain from it.
Avatar m tn Some anti-inflammatory medicines (like diclofenac or ibuprofen) will help to reduce the swelling. Cleaning with some anti-septic solution and anti-biotic course under general physician’s guidance will lessen the symptoms. Till then, topical antibiotics such as mupirocin or neomycin containing ointment are also useful. It is very difficult to precisely confirm a diagnosis without examination and investigations and the answer is based on the medical information provided.
Avatar n tn Try taking muclolytics (such as bromhexine/ambroxyl), pain relievers (such as Ibuprofen/diclofenac), saline nasal drops, steam inhalation, drink plenty of warm water and avoid chewing on the left side. Consult your doctor for the detailed examination and further management.
