Taking adderall with tums

Common Questions and Answers about Taking adderall with tums

adderall

Avatar m tn Currently SWIY takes tums, 1 or 2 extra strength a few minutes before taking the Adderall. Daily Supplements include 250mg of Magnesium Oxide, a multivitamin, fish oil and occasionally 5HTP and Gingko Biloboa. Since its usually tough to fall asleep for SWIY after taking addie during the day SWIY goes one of two routes to fall asleep- natural: take some vitamin c, drink sleepytime tea, melatonin.
Avatar f tn If anybody has had a similar problem and has found an answer I would appreciate any help! Experience with tums? Taking a break to regain tolerance? How long? And people that have changed to different drug... Please no post telling me not to take Adderall and I'm aware of side effects. Thank you!
Avatar f tn And you can keep on your normal schedule with taking adderall. You can buy them at any Vitamin or GNC type store. I got mine at the Vitamin Shoppe. Look it up online and read about it. It saved me big time. Hope this helps." Post 2: "I just found this thread after searching about the possibility of Adderall causing acid reflux. Without going into everything, I've been on Adderall for 16+ years and had reflux the entire time (and taking meds for it).
Avatar n tn The question is can you live with the extra anxiety if the adderall is really helping you? The problem with taking an upper (adderall) and a downer (ativan) together is that they will counter act against each other and neither one will be as effective in your system. You said that you were just diagnosed? Is this your first add medication? You may want to consider trying a different one if the adderall continues to give you problems.
Avatar m tn i was wondering if maybe taking the adderall while on the antibiotic would be a problem? what health risks would this pose?
4220225 tn?1360685122 I'm taking tums for calcium. I take two/day now. I'm thinking of doing two twice a day since I'm not getting much in my diet. Is anyone else taking tums for calcium and how many?
Avatar m tn I have a love/hate realationship with the Adderall. Although I am prescribed 20 mg Adderall XR 3 times a day, I never take all 3 pills a day. Right now I am down to 1 pill a day. I love the fact that the Adderall gives me energy but I hate that after a few days of taking it I feel physically exhausted. I have tried to give up the Adderall but I always go back to it because taking the Celexa alone doesn't work.
Avatar n tn I am a stay at home mother with three young boys. I have been taking zoloft (100mg daily) for depression for about nine years. The only times I was not taking zoloft is during my second and third pregnancies (and, boy, it was tough). Zoloft has changed my life - and my family's happiness. Just recently I was also diagnosed with ADD. My doc gave me adderall 10mg IR to try.
4111382 tn?1356207828 I think it has something to do with the calcium in them, I'd ask your dr before taking more than what's directed
Avatar n tn t just ask for Adderall because I thought that I had ADHD. I am no longer with the doctor that I was with over the summer. I have not been taking my anti-anxiety med since starting Adderall, but that is because my doctor didn't mention to me if I should stop taking it.
Avatar f tn Well, see when I switched from Concerta to Adderall, I just stopped the Concerta and went to taking the Adderall XR. After a few months the XR did not seem to work very long or throughout the day. So, in 2007, I went on Adderall short acting pill form which generic form is amphetamine salts or amphetamine mix tabs. With this pill, first of all, it is extremely inexpensive. I pay $30 for 180 tabs 20 mg each. I cut each in half and take each half 4 times a day a total of 40mg.
Avatar f tn My doc told me to take Zantac once before bed and once when I wake up and to take tums with calcium in between. I also find that drinking a lil bit of sprite helps because it makes me burp and it relieves a lot of the burning and uncomfortable pain.
Avatar f tn Tums is ok but if you read the bottle, it says no more than 5 in 24hours if your pregnant
Avatar f tn My best friend was diagnosed by her primary care physician as being ADD a few months ago. She is 46 yrs old. He put her on a low dosage of Straterra at first but after 2 weeks the side effects required a change in medication. He put her on a low dosage of Adderall (18mgs per day). She also takes 450 mgs of Wellbutrin a day for depression and 100 mgs of Topamax for migraines. Add to that the fact that she drinks a few glasses of wine every night and you have quite a cocktail.
Avatar n tn If so, you are not helping yourself with taking these above medications with alcohol, if we are speaking about a glass of wine or a beer it's not the greatest choice but not all is lost. If you speaking about drinking frequently then you are not only not helping yourself but you are putting your mental and physical health in danger. Please don't do that to yourself, surely your aim for taking medication is to get well, not the exact opposite.
Avatar n tn If I could I would go cold turkey from zoloft so I could go right back to taking the adderall. Adderall is the only thing that has EVER made me feel good and like I had the chance at a normal life. It may sound overly dramatic, but it's the only thing that ever gave me even hope. It really felt like a miracle to me and I hope it has the same effect on you. You sound so much like you have felt the way I have, so it wouldn't surprise me if it had the same effect on you.
Avatar f tn Yes. Tums are actually good for Calcium. My doctor with my first child suggested I take them for the heartburn and extra calcium.
Avatar n tn I am 22 years old, I was diagnosed with ADD then ADHD as a child. I quit taking Ritalin and Concerta after Elementary school if not before. I am in College now and my little brother(18) had 30 mg Adderall. So I asked him if I could take one every Tuesday and Thursday before class. So last Thursday 2/11/10 was the very first pill I took. And gah did I feel great, I was focused in on my classes etc.
4402502 tn?1355342665 Its almost like an upset stomach but I feel like I have a rock in my stomach. Is this normal? What can I do to make myself feel better while taking tums?
Avatar f tn I want to stop taking adderall. When I first started it 2 years ago it really helped me in school, and today some 2 years later I have taken 4 20 mg tablets through out today. Im scared to get help because im in school for surgical technology and I don't want to be denied employment for/ in a hospital. I have no insurance and im a single mom. Like most people lliving in the us today I am having major finacial problems.
Avatar f tn I am a 40 year-old female very newly diagnosed with ADHD. My doc started me on dexedrine 5mg twice a day to start off for now. Is aybody familiar with this medication? It seems like everyone is on newer name brand meds.
9358102 tn?1418673367 I've had it since about 4 months my Dr told me tums. She also told me that milk might upset It even worse for some people which seems like a hit and miss with me although I would've thought opposite since it's calcium enriched and that's what tums are... But I will say this for me tums have been the only thing that's helped reliably since I've started taking them. Quick fast relief.
Avatar m tn I told him how long I had been taking adderall and how I felt about it. He diagnosed me with adult adhd and started me on 70mg vyvanse once a day. The vyvanse works alright but my brain feels foggy, I don't think it is for me. I am going back for my follow up visit on Monday and I think I am going to see if he can put me on 20mg adderall twice a day. Thank you for your help.
Avatar n tn I have been taking it on and off without a prescription for about three years and with a prescription for the past five months. I was prescribed a dose of 30 mgs a day but I have quickly increased my own dosage to 70--80 mg XR per day. I know I cant manage my use of this drug and I have recently become really worried about my health (Im a 22 year old formerly athletic female)...aside from completely eating my muscles, Ive noticed my skin looks dry and wrinkly...
Avatar m tn I am 56 and was diagnosed with ADHD at age 42 . I take Adderall 45 mg per day and decided to take !self off it . I don't believe it has The same affect on me as when I first began taking the meds .I too lost interest in sex and my Dr. who is an excellent Dr. , is managing a treatment center for addicts and doesn't have the time for me anymore . I don't like the effects of Adderall anymore and my last appointment my Dr. told me not to go off it .
760131 tn?1238217597 For sure you dont want to cold turkey of the suboxone, its best to taper down especially when your still at 16mgs/day. With the adderall, I only have some brief experiences with it, but I never had a problem when I quit. But I know of many people who have had problems, its an amphetamine, so its very addictive. Hopefully some more people come by with more experience with adderall, Im not sure what the safest way to detox off.
