Avatar m tn You should look at all the past threads in Tagalog and English, which I noticed are the two predominant languages in this forum. Many carriers in the Philippines are rejected for jobs both in the Philippines and especially the ones trying to go abroad to work in other countries. China also discriminates against its own population trying to get jobs. Some multinational companies who have set up shop (e.g. IBM) doesn't test for hbv. http://www.hc2d.co.uk/content.php?
Avatar m tn Today I am 19, and I have trouble speaking 100% and words/sentences end up being tongue twisters for me. It makes me unconfident when I want to ask a question knowing I probably wouldn't be able to say it right. It's like when I speak my tongue kind of trips itself, or better say that it gets "stiff". The sentences that I really have problems with saying usually include alliteration in them, or that.
Avatar n tn you should inform the teacher of her ability to speak a foreign tongue and just allow the daycare to use one language all day and maybe you can continue to use the mother tongue at home. give her extra time to begin to speak out clearly in these two languages. she has more to learn than other children.

1415711 tn?1286281354 My wife thinks I am out of my mind at this point. I am constantly checking the strength of my tongue and practicing tongue twisters to make sure I dont have any weakness or atrophy. I have no problems eating or drinking. But despite it all I still cannot shake this tense clumsy feeling in my tongue thats stemming from under my chin. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
Avatar f tn Looks like Tagalog.
8256425 tn?1408246885 My mother tongue is Albanian, but I was raised in Germany, so I speak fluently German and learned English at school. My husband is American and from mother side Panamanian. So while I am eager to teach my baby German and Albanian, my mother-in-law will speak and teach him Spanish.
973741 tn?1342342773 Who has read the book on the 5 love languages? What did you think? What is yours? Does your partner honor that or try to speak to you in their love language?
Avatar n tn The closest I could come to figuring out which language was spanish or tagalog, but clearly neither fits as all I get is: mam gud pm 'mam ung property kc so i was to rip the bare when pagkatahi aq if the firstborn son mam maibbalik yet here b aus on my property ? Please try again, but in English (or another language with which you're familiar).
Avatar f tn Hi, my daughter is almost 6 and still talks like that. BUT, she has been diagnosed with autism. She was also raised in a house with only 1 language. Generally I would say this is a sign of a delay, but since she has been regularly exposed to 4 languages I'd lean towards no. I bet that if you go down to 1, maybe 2, languages you will see a lot of improvement. Just to be safe I would also take her to see a speech therapist.
Avatar f tn Since you posted originally in Tagalog, I assume you are Filipino. When you were rejected to work in Dubai, you obviously had no symptoms. And coming from that your area, where there is a lot of hepB cases, it is likely that you've had it all your life and only found out now, just like many young people in your situation are discovering. You only need to be checked once a year (ultrasound and blood tests) if your readings are all normal. Not 3 months as you've said.
Avatar n tn Well, I think it is a stretch for someone on the internet to say you have nothing to worry about. I'd moniter the situation and see how she progresses. I think that kids that have multiple languages spoken are at a great advantage as knowing multiple languages is fantastic but it does create issues for early communication sometimes. Often along the lines of the primary caregiver speaking one language and many others in their world speaking another.
Avatar f tn Wowza! Real tongue twisters! I have a Carson and a Dawson and often call them Darson in a fluster! If you like the rhythm of those names with the "y" spelling, than Dylan is real cute! You could choose Dawson and spell it, Dasyn. I believe this is a Native American spelling, but it does follow your theme!
Avatar f tn Language is developed through interacting with your baby constantly. Music is a great thing for anyone. I think it helps to learn rythym as this is also a big part of language. Kids exposed to multiple languages can speak multiple languages. Can't hurt to listen to music but I think its just part of the story.
Avatar f tn teach my kids two languages as well... me and my husband both speak both languages fluently so I wanted my kids to be the same, I spoke to them in one language and my husband spoke to them in the other language, so they learned both languages from us, and they speak them fluently....
Avatar f tn I also speak Portuguese with my daughter and my husband speaks Spanish so she is learning all 3 languages and she is only 2 yrs old. Have a great night!
Avatar f tn I've read up that by toughening up your nipples you can stand in the sun for about 5min every day so that the uv rays can penetrate your skin, and not through a window. I'll be 36weeks on Friday and will start doing that everyday before baba gets here. Don't use any chemicals as this won't help, try not to moisturise the nipples too much as it will soften it up and make sure to give your nipples enough ventilation.
11358238 tn?1430409963 Hi, I am RN and I specialize in cosmetic services. I am a LHR provider and it is very true that you can not laser while pregnant as there have never been any studies done on pregnant women and the effects of lasering while pregnant. However, once your bundle of joy is her you can start treatments back regardless of your breastfeeding status as it is not a contraindication.
Avatar f tn Say something in Spanish and then in English. Or use flash cards. He'll catch on eventually. That's amazing you taught him 2 languages. That'll definitely come in handy when he's older.
Avatar m tn re having trouble concentrating is all. I remember when I was studying program languages at university, I realized it was like the trouble I had memorizing foreign languages. It's very BORING and not all that easy to understand. I would make A and B grades in classes, but had to re-take foreign languages because I'd flunk them. Try changing up the time that you read that stuff, like do it in the morning after breakfast and a cup of coffee.
Avatar f tn He is starting to say some words but no very clear. At home, we speak two languages (Spanish and English). The 6 or 7 words that he pronounce are in Spanish. The only thing he ask me for is his milk. He also doesn't feed himself, I have to give him everything in his mouth. He loves to play with me, with his dad. When he meets with my friends kids, he plays a lot and share all his toys. He really enjoys being with others children What is going on my boy and what can I do to help him.
14321520 tn?1433936473 The ear blockage could have really made a difference in learning a language. Give him a few more months and see how he does. I was curious about the language because you said, "he can number from 1 to 10 and from 10 to 1 in 2 languages and he can say the alphabet in 2 languages and saying the word associated to each letters." There is nothing wrong with knowing two languages.
Avatar f tn My babies dad is full mexican and im american so he obviously wants a Mexican name which I am fine with but I want something that my family and his will be able to easily pronounce in both languages. I am so stuck! Some I have thought about are adrienne, adrianna, alejandra, antonia, Carmen, carmela and mariana. Please give me you're opinions and ideas!!!
