The next step is usually papaverine injection but needs to be given by an expert only. I sincerely hope that helps. Take care.

Avatar n tn Dear Joe, The "new plastic smell" or "new car smell" are topics that are being currently studied for the possible health effects that may be associated with the volatile organic chemicals that "leach" out of many types of consumer products. Another classic example of pungent odors from new consumer products is a new shower curtain. There are over a hundred articles on just one of these classes of chemicals: phthalates.
Avatar m tn For the past 2 years I have been smelling heavy chemicals on certain people. It's a combination of mothballs, turpentine, and bleach smells - and so far I only smell it on my 11 year old son (even right after he's taken a shower!) and a co-worker (a very active/healthy man). No one else can smell it and but is so overpowering for me that I have to walk away and remove myself from the area.
Avatar n tn I would do some research in this area if I were you. OK...sorry... I know you are right now by asking this question, but I would google the words cancer and hand sanitizer if I were you and see what you get. More and more chemicals are coming into our life, that is for sure. Years ago my friend lost her husband (at age 38) and they attributed the illness he got to the fact that he'd worked with paints his whole life (lead paint at the time, too).....
Avatar f tn "Although fairly limited, most research indicates the chemicals found in both semi-permanent and permanent dyes are not highly toxic and are safe to use during pregnancy. In addition, only small amounts of hair dye may be absorbed by the skin, leaving little that would be able to reach the fetus. As such, this small amount is not considered harmful to the fetus." From *****************. org. It also states you could wait till your second trimester.

Avatar m tn Hi, Tadalafil (Cialis) has had a few side effects with long-term use, but these have not been conclusively attributed to the drug. Headaches, indigestion, back and muscle pains, etc., have been considered the minor side effects of this drug. Longer-term use can cause vision impairment due to optic neuropathy and has also been reported to cause sudden deafness. Further studies regarding the long-term use of this drug are underway and are yet to be conclusively reported upon.
Avatar f tn Just remember chemicals you put on your skin does get absorbed and will he passed to baby. Like salicylic acid in acne creams and washes are quite dangerous to use while pregnant cause it heightens the chances of birth defects. As for tanning lotions I don't know it be best to do some research on it.
Avatar f tn I would say it's a most minor exposure to chemicals. It's worse for you to feel bad about yourself not looking to your best.
