Do not take methadone that has a very long half life and really has the longest withdrawal symptoms out of anything. Next to herion that is. Subs also have a 72 hour half life so also very long withs.

I am now taking 60 mg. of methadone, trying to get off of the methadone to become eligible for other pain treatment. I didn't know where to ask this question. Guys: I need help bad! Over forty years ago, I became a heroin/opiate addict. After 10 years I got on a methadone program and continued on that program for the next 30 years. Amazing. Your story sounds similar to mine where somehow or for some reason I skipped any physical symptoms of withdrawal from 6 months or so 20mg oxy abuse. I'm by no means an expert but my guess is that you're on a low enough dose where you wont go through much more, physically. I would say that it is definately possible for her to be having those things happen because of the intensity of w/d from methadone. Please keep us posted..

HI My experence with methadine is it usually sets in about 3 days later the withdrawals are typically 7 days but its not so much the withdrawal that makes methadone hare dot get off of but the post withdrawal theres an energy crash that is debilitating that coupled with no sleep can make you miserable just know you got to be in this for the long haul and you got to want it bad methadone is a monster to kick but it is doable its just not like the pills where it over in a week ot 2 methadone detox

i believe all the withdrawal symptoms have past but now i am falling for no apparent reason stopped taking on the 18th of Nov. and now it has been 15 days without any at all just today i fall over sideways with no warnings at ll, i just fell. Is this also a withdrawal symptom or could it be something else?
