swollen tonsils help

Soo my tonsils are swollen , anyone know what i can take to help the swelling go down ?

For two weeks my tonsils have been swollen with white spots all over them. But i have no other symptoms at all, no fever, headache, rash, cough, congestion or anything else. I've been holding off going to the doctors cause I feel fine, should I wait more or should I make an appointment?

I had unprotected oral sex with a sw about 8 weeks ago,they said it was no risk to HIV, but I have had headaches,diarrea,swollen liver and spleen,swollen tonsils,ear aches, headaches,joint paint,muscle aches,sore throat,tingles in hands, could this be mono?

ve gave oral sex to my boyfriend on the weekend and now I have really swollen tonsils and they have lots of puss spots which are extremely swollen and very painful. I went to the doctors and they gave me penicillin but said if it was an infection (I think) it wouldn't work. I have been taking paracetamol for pain and ibuprofen now which has helped a lot but not sure if the swelling is going down. I looked at them again and the puss spots seem to have gotten more white, what does this mean?

Okay, so here's the story. For the past month I've had swollen tonsils with white pieces of mucous or whatever and they tend to break off and they're not that great tasting. I've also had horrible breath and a slight sore throat. So i go to the doctor and he tells me it's strep so he gave me an antibiotic. I've known that it's not strep and the doctor was stupid.

ve been getting sick at least once a month, sometimes twice. It starts with my tonsils, which get swollen and painful, then I get severe congestion/runny nose, and soon after very painful muscles and joints along with chills, but never a really high fever even if it feels like I'm burning up inside. Some of the times I've gotten sick my colds have turned into sinus infections. Note: Within the past year or so I've gotten tonsil stones more and more frequently.

but about three days later a got a really sore throat and later swollen tonsils,i went to the doctors and she looked down my throat and said i had strep.but she didint do any tests.she gave me 7 days,3 times a day of amoxicillin.i took all of it and its nearly a week after and my throat is still the same.i dont have a fever or anything anymore.

By the way, my tonsils have been swollen for a year with no pain ! And I still have prostatitis symptoms (difficulty to urinate, urinating very often at night, lower back pain, pain in the anus.. etc) and they are becoming more and more severe..

So recently i had oral sex with my partner and like a day later I developed a cough. I've been coughing for about a week but today I noticed that my tonsils are swollen and i noticed 1 white spot on one of my tonsils. I got tonsilitus (sorry don't know how to spell that) when i was 16 and ever since then when i get sick my tonsils are the first thing to act up. They swell up and they hurt. This time they don't hurt but they are swollen.

Thursday morning I woke up to a sore/ scratchy throat. I figured it was from sleeping with my hair a little wet and having the fan on the night before and would go away later in the day. It never went away and continued. Friday was the same thing my throat felt to itchy and irritated I would keep coughing. Friday night it felt gross to swallow my saliva. Saturday it was the same thing so I looked in my mouth and noticed my tonsils were swollen.

I returned to my hometown and went to primecare on a weekend due to an unrelated sports injury and asked the doctor to look at my throat as well in October. He gave antibiotics to help with my swollen, red tonsils, which at this point, the left side was more swollen that the right side. I Was told it could be an abscess in the tonsil and was referred to an ENT who told me that there was nothing he could do about my throat and it should go down with time.

oh yeah i was wndering if it was hiv ? is this a symptom?

My daughter is three years old and she has had swollen tonsils for about two months now. The Dr. doesn't know why. She says that she needs her tonsils out. But all she has tried is steroids and allergy meds. Steroids brought the swelling down a little but as soon as she was done with them they went back. It worries me because she is having problems breathing at night sometimes. Some nights are worse then others. I dont know why she hasn't tried antibiotics.

I also have swollen gums. Maybe that may have something to do with it? what could this be? Should I take this seriously?

I had strep throat about 2 weeks ago and they put me on antibiotics. I got better, but now my tonsils are swollen with white pus on them. They aren't sore at all. They are just swollen again and I don't know why. If any of you know, please let me know!!!

day21: swollen tonsils with pus , no soar throat, single pimple with puss inside my lower lip day22: swollen tonsils disappear , inflamed uvula, day23: soar throat appears , inflamed uvula disappears at the end of the day,slightly swollen lymph nodes on neck( apologies cant really tell the difference from a normal sized lymph node) day24: soar throat becomes server then disappears at the end of the day. Finally day25: Everything disappears but left with the ulcer from the pimple in my mouth.

Hi, brief introduction; 1-2 weeks ago I developed swollen tonsils with no other symptoms but sore throat, swollen lymph nodes in the neck and basically that was about it. Last week I visited the otolaryngologist and he said it didn`t looked that bad, so he gave me a shot of betamethasone and I've been on clarithromycin for about a week with not much of improvement. Like 3-4 days ago, I've developed White spots in the tonsils and blood mixed with mucus down the back of my throat.

I have had swollen tonsils 3 times in the last month. I was told that ars symptoms can come and go. Is this so? Does ars cause swollen tonsils, headache, feeling hot, soreness behind eyes? I have a new partner who says he is fine. I feel like something is very wrong. I am a 33 year old female who has never had tonsil problems before. Please help.

Very swollen tonsils, sore throat, harder to swallow, strong/choking cough, sore neck, ears plugged, a little white (not bumps) around tonsil, perfect temperature. Day 4 (now): Very plugged ears, Swollen tonsils, less of sore throat, same cough, sore neck, same white around tonsil, a little bit plugged nose, perfect temperature still. I was trying to look it up but I don't know what I have. Help? Is this the right section, I'm new here?

However, if you develop a fever, or if there is enlargement of the tonsils with pain or if there is white coating on the tonsils, re consult your doctor. Hope this helped and do keep us posted.

I never had fever, or sore/strep throat, lymph nodes, swollen tonsils .. but I'm having back pain, sometimes knees hurt and nausea..
