One is to the lowerleft of my bottom lip and the other is in the smack dab middle of my upper lip. It appeared overnight with NO OTHER SYMPTOMS. My only guess is that there is a large pimple on my chin and two small pimples on my upper lip. I tried and failed to pop all three but the swelleing is right next to them. I also feel pressure from the pimples to the swelling. Two questions. 1) whats wrong with me? 2) how do i get this swelling down?
Infact I had one that matured and dried out. But this one seems to be hard and big and red. Also my lip is swollen in that area. This problem has now lasted for 2 days and seems to worsen and pains!
Any suggestion on how I can bring this swelling down and the bump on my lip? Is is not a pimple?
Can I buy any over the counter medicne for this problem?
The only things that I knowingly am allergic to are lactose and chocolate, both of which cause me to purge. Only that side of my lip is swollen, my tongue and throat feel fine.
Also, if it helps, I'm a musician (woodwinds and strings), and I haven't come into contact with any unusual instruments. I've only played my flute, clarinets and violin this weekend.
I went to the doctor and she said to stop taking the new meds I was taking. She also thought it was not the lip treatment I was using if things were fine for 3 and 1/2 months and this started when I started my new meds. Things got better for a few days (3 or 4) then they got itchy and swollen again. So, I stopped using another new medication I started at the same time. Again things got better for 3 or 4 days and then got worse again.
My right outer lip is swollen, itchy and it burns when I pee. I tried taking a warm bath but it burned even more when i was in the shower. For two months my upper lip has been red, swollen and very,very dry. I applied ambesol and it goes away for about a day to a week then starts right back up again. the next day i went to work and did not have time to fill the prescription. during the course of the day my lip went down slowely and by the time i got to sleep my lip looked normal. yesterday my lip was fine the whole day but as the day grew on i felt it bothering me a little again. this time it itched a little but nothing to serious.

I'm 45, my top lip gets dry for a few days then a tiny bump shows up, then my lip swells pretty big, for a few days mostly at night. swelling subsides a little during the day has a tingling in it after several days my lip cracks and drains this happens a few times a year. All together from beginning to end it lasts about 2 weeks.

I ruled out the pimple because it is just about gone now,but the swollen lip remains. I've never had a problem like this before. Why is this happening?
