swollen labia during late pregnancy

I am 20 wks pregnant and lately my labia has been swollen and itchy with some visable white discharge. On one side the fold between my labia majora & minora has a crack that has bled slightly when I've wiped. I go to the doctor in a few days but was wondering if I should call him now or just wait until I see him. Any suggestions? Thanks!

i called the doc and they said bleeding is not normal and i hav an apt in 2 days but all my symptoms are gone and im afraid that they wont find out whats wrong and the next time i have sex ill bleed agian and it will hurt like it did the last time when my labia was swollen.

As I surf the Web many sites tell me it is common during pregnancy for this to happen. What it doesn't tell me is how to (deal, cope, minimize, OR HELP) For the past few days now my labias are both swollen and itchy at times. I am very clean and wipe front to back. I wear cotton underware with a liner now because of some discharge. I was just hoping someone out there has a few tips or tricks on how to survive !! I am 26 weeks now and I pray rhis doesn't last the rest of my pregnancy! !

It's not a problem. The labia takes on extra blood during sex just like the penis when erect. So it's normal for the labia to become larger and redder. Enjoy.

It goes down in a stip from the bottom of my vaginal opening to the top of my labia. It is still there and is still very purple and slighly swollen, it does not hurt or itch or burn. I thought that it was just bursing from maybe rubbing the extra skin wrong or maybe the extra skin getting pinched during sex. It has never happened before and I have been sexual active for almost a year. Just wondering what this could be? Any help?

I developed one of the right side during my last pregnancy and they can become very swollen and uncomfortable and even painful. It gets worse the further along you are but typically goes away after birth. This time mine showed up around 13 weeks. Mine also itches as well. Talk to your doctor about it to be sure this is what it is. If it is there really isn't anything you can do about it but watch it and as I said it should resolve after birth. Mine went away almost immediately.

I noticed yesterday that my vagina started to swell and its swollen even more since... there's no pain to it or odor so I doubt its infection? But has anyone else experienced this? Do I need to see my doctor about this or anything? Does it just go down on its own?

Has there been any correlation between women who have had problems with swollen labia after sex and their partners being smokers. Theres only two men I have had this problem with and they are both smokers. I'm wondering if there's some allergy to the nicotine that transfers during oral sex.

I have noticed that when ever i have sex using a condom with my partner it itches badly, so i have been having sexual intercourse with him with out a condom from i found out i am alergic to it. However, i realized this morning after sex and he had his discharge on my vagina as he pulls out soon after it feels huge. Upon looking i realized the labia was very swollen on both sides and looking scary like its going to pop. am not feeling pain now but it feels uncomfortable beteew my legs.

A couple of days ago during sex i felt a pinch and then burning in my labia, and it was enough to interrupt intercourse. I use soft cups during day and always Infiniti at night. The pain is the same with each. During pregnancy I had SPD. That was UNBAREABLE. This hurts to move, stand, sit... I tried ice, I tried moist heat. I tried an Advil. I even called my doctor but they said if no fever to wait a few days and keep an eye on it. It does feel like an intense throb. Ok, I am 36 years old this is my third pregnancy...and I have a swollen purple deformed labia. I called my aunt who is an OB Nurse practitioner and she said that it is a vaginal varicose vein that is common with pregnancy (I I never has this before and no varicose veins any where else)..................anyone else have/had this. Last night was more aggressive and longer than usual and I went home with a swollen right labia. I felt the discomfort last night but I didn't see it til this morning. After I had her I had to go into emergency surgery because I had a hematoma (swollen blood vessel/clot) on my labia and it was going to burst if the clot wasn't treated. Surgery took 2 hours and it was awful. They removed a blood clot the size of a peach from my labia. Everything seems to be healing up well though now. This is highly unusual because in my experience, every outbreak starts with a bump on my right outer labia and as of right now there is no bump on my right labia. Also, my lymph nodes are not swollen (they usually get huge). For all of my past outbreaks, i would get prodromal symptoms followed immediately by an outbreak, so this is strange for me.. Also, later today i found that I had a second bump that looks exactly like a large whitehead higher up on my inner left labia that is very itchy.
