About a week ago I started taking Erythromycin and have been taking it as told. Now today my gums and cheek is swollen. The Dentist switched my antibiotic to Clindamycin and I just started taking that because he doesn't think the other one was working....no kidding. My question is do you think this antibiotic will kill the infection and when will the swelling go down. The appointment to have my tooth removed isn't until the 10th of april.
The tooth itself is mildy sensitive to pressure, but soothed by chewing or drinking hot or cold. and the swollen cheek and gums are making all the teeth on that side of my my face throb. I went to the dentist yesterday (Tuesday) and got an x-ray done. He wasn't sure what the problem is because of the lack of pain, but he didn't say anything about an absess, and referred me to an Endodontist. I won't be seeing the Endodontist for almost 4 weeks.
So i been 3 day with a toothache. my whole left side is swollen i can't eat i can't talk i cabt eveb turn my head to the side cause it hurts me I'm 15 wks pregnant and i have a problem w my insurance is from.NY and in the state that i live now the doc don't accept it cause is out of state i have and appoitment to chanqe it on November 6 with out that i can't have a prenatal care.

m really worried as a week ago after suffering from severe toothache and not being registered at a dentist as had not longed moved to the area! I went to a dentist when the pain was excrutiating and was told that I had a big Abscess! I was give antibiotics to treat the infection and told to come back a week later! but after a few days the pain was so bad, and no sleep and ice packs against cheek were still not reliveing it that I had to go back!

I have a wicked bad toothache. My entire left side of face n jaw are throbbing. Top wisdom tooth has broke n keep losing little chunks outta it and bottom wisdom tooth is swollen n hurts. Called several dentists and no one will help me till after i deliver. Im currently taking tylenol, using teething tablets (yes the infant ones) and orajel. Along with heat n ice packs. If anyone has any tips to help please let me know i am desperate for a little relief.
