Avatar f tn Since then he is always compaining his throat feels dry and constintly needs to drink something. In August he had a fever and swollen glands again the hospital diganosed him with lymphitis and again he took a course of antibiotics. A few months ago in September he had a low grade fever (101.0) and complained of a sore throat. I took him to the doc and she did a strep test that came back negative. Now Nov.
Avatar m tn four days later I wasnt feeling well and still running low grade fever. Went to urgent care and they checked me for strep .. negative. Mono test (looked like a small version of a pregnancy test) and it came back positive. He told me to quit taking antibiotics. I'm not as drowsy...but have some pain in right side of abdomen. and feel full quickly after eating something. no fever. Glands are still swollen. My concern is that my sons test was negative for mono but mine was positive.
Avatar m tn I have had sore, swollen glands in my neck for over 3 weeks. My Dr. agreed they were swollen but ruled out lymphoma as I had had some blood tests but they were done before I had these symptoms. I don't feel it would be lymphoma, but I thought maybe some kind of virus as I am running a low grade fever from 99.3 to 100.3. My "normal" is usually 97. I was taking an antibiotic (Bactrim) for an abscess I had on my buttock caused by a bee sting probably. Another Dr.
Avatar m tn I have recently driven a long distance and my nodes around my neck started to make my neck ache. I have recently had really bad chills and occassinal low grade fever. I saw my doctor who weighed me, I have lost 6kg's since I was last weighed but I don't weigh myself often anyway. I am getting really depressed now as it is more and more often painful to cross my legs or walk sometimes. My CBC is normal, WBC norml, ESR normal. Allergy blood test normal.
Avatar n tn The hematoma is slowly going away but I have had a low grade fever now for 2 almost three months. Not feeling the best. Has anyone experienced this before?
Avatar f tn I have had a persistent low grade fever ranging from 99 to 99.8 and sometimes 100. I have recently been having trouble sleeping where I have previously had no problem before. I lie awake for hours, and when I do fall asleep, I have nightmares and either wake myself up or my fiance who wakes me up. When I wake up I have pain and tension in my shoulders and in the joints in my hips.

4760166 tn?1398357313 Hi guys ... I'm scheduled to have my shunt revised / replaced on the 17th ... but for the past couple months or more I've had a low grade fever (I usually run about 97. it's been 99 - 100 ... not even worth a doctor visit) and really the only thing that bothers me about it is my eyelids always burn when I have fever so they haven't stopped burning. And I noticed yesterday that there is a blue/grayish spot on my left sclera (the white of your eyes) ... it is definitely new.
Avatar m tn I've been suffering with chronic sinusitis for almost a year and a half - long story short, I ended up with sinus surgery and having tonsils removed. Bad, bad situation - couldn't swallow, couldn't eat, lost a ton of weight etc., etc. I've been doing better but I just can't get my appetite back and my stomach is contantly sick. Dr. says that all will heal in time but it is frustrating.
Avatar m tn Symptoms included sore throat, swollen tonsils, neck muscle aches, swollen glands, low grade fever. (99.9) and discharge in the back of throat. Sore throat started to go away after about 3 days of treatment. On the west coast gonorrhea is treated with cephalosporins and Doxy for chlamydia at the same time. After the 10th day of treatment, I was noticing that the sore throat returned, and my low grade fever still persists. A white discharge is constantly seen at the back of the throat.
Avatar n tn Hi, the montouxs test has failry indicated that you have active TB and therefore need therapy. Even in the absence of cough and low grade fever, which is common in TB, a diagnosis and treatment can be made. You should try and keep your child away as the child is at severe risk of getting TB by close contact. I hope you understand. let me know if you need more help.
Avatar m tn i assume swollen glands in the neck means inflamed lymph nodes? our 6 yr. old was seen today for a fever and sore throat complaint. the ped. said she has a throat infection and swollen glands and prescribed meds. she did check other areas of her body for glands (at least that is what i think she was feeling for). about 7 weeks ago she had the same thing (tho the whole family passed around a fever/infection). should we be overly concerned that she has been sick like this twice in two months?
Avatar f tn Gave him some meds for allergies. Since he seems to be getting worse. He has fever that comes and goes..mostly low grade but some are higher. He has body aches like he has the flu and he get headaches normally when he first wakes up. These are really bad and he says they hurt worse when he closes his eyes and try to relax. He gets extremely fatigued. He did not have a cold nor did he have any swollen glands. The doctor did a WBC and a flu test. Did not do a test for mono.
Avatar m tn But since Saturday week ago I am having this low grade fever everyday. It grows if I exert. I have it for a week now. I try to eat as healthy as possible. Is this normal after acute tonsollitis infection. I am really worrried...
Avatar f tn Over the last few weeks, this temp has evolved into a low-grade fever. I am also very tired and have a dull ache on my left side of my upper back. I have seen many physicians and my WBC and SED rate tests came back normal, as well as two mono tests and a Lyme's disease test. A chest and side x-ray came back normal (back wasn't done). EKG came back normal. I also had lumps in my breast on the left side (same side as back pain and swollen gland).
Avatar f tn Hi , I am 26 and have been suffering from repeating low grade fever. In a year itmigh repeat several times and persist for weeks too. Recently I have been suffering from it from 4 week and above . The fever is around 98.6 or 99 or 99.5 or sometimes 100 during evening and persist for one hour or so and then starts decreasing. In the morning too sometimes I feel feverish a bit. But the fever doesn't cause any body pain.
Avatar m tn i have had a low-grade (99-101) fever and a moderate sore throat beginning 10 days after a possible exposure. This was accompanied by sinus and nasal congestion. A couple glands in my neck were slightly swollen and tender. This has persisted for 5 days now and the sore throat and sinusitis seems to resolving but the fever persists. Actually, every night I seem to sweat out the fever and awaken thinking it has broken with a temperature at normal or perhaps 99.
Avatar f tn Can a dental infection cause low grade fevers and feeling unwell? I'm going this week to the dentist. I'm 28 and have been a smoker for 15 years. Despite the smoking I eat healthy and exercise. I was diagnosed with Shingles in Sept 2013, since then my health has declined. I didn't have the rash shingles generally causes but I did have a rash on my neck. The doctor just treated me for it without being 100% certain.
Avatar f tn 9 is positive I present with extreme fatigue, malaise, low grade fever, swollen salivary glands on my worst days. Like my immune system is fighting a virus. This seemed to occur after receiving several pints of transfusion blood during surgery. However, infectious disease doctor says I don't have active infection because PCR CMV came back undetectable. I've read conflicting information about the sensitivity, timing and interpretation of these tests when viewed together.
Avatar m tn hi, i got a sore throat about 2 months ago, the doctor diagnosed tonsilitis, and put me on calvepen, this got rid of the fever symptons but my glands stayed swollen an my throat stayed red, when the fever came back a few weeks later i went back and he put me on augmenten, this had the same effect i went back last week and was put back on calvepen and he did a mono test which came back negative, but said my white blood cell count was high and it looked like i was at the tale end of a virus, somed
