The glands in my neck (under my jaw) have been swollen for about 4 months now. They have never really hurt. But i've been getting sick (mainly just symptoms of a cold. Runny nose, post nasal drip or a headache a few times. And once i had a sore throat) off and on the whole time. Though, when i do get better i still have mucus that i'm hawking up throughout the day (its usually clear or bright yellow).
Hello! I know it's gross but over the past 24hrs I've developed a really nasty cold sore on my bottom lip.. I haven't had one for about 7 years but use to get them so bad in primary school my Mum had to pull me out of class for 3wks once. On top of that when I woke this morning I figured out the glands in my neck are swollen and I've got a terrible headache.. Im 17weeks pregnant. Has anyone else experienced this?
I didn't mention that I also washed with alcohol after the soap and water. The alcohol stung.
Was skin still intact? I'm having alot of neck discomfort, almost feels like my neck is "thick" so of course I'm convinced I have swollen glands and am in seroconversion stage. Testing tomorrow at 28 days.
I have never suffered from migranes so headache, swollen glands, sore ears, neck, possible cyst and feeling nausious is driving me mad.
Do you think I am right to be concerned or would you just put it down to a virus? I am trying to remain calm about the situation but the more i google my symptoms the more worried i get.
Is there any chance it could be something serious which doesn't show up on blood tests or chest x-ray?

I was wondering if you could tell me a bit more about the types of swollen glands you were dealing with, and if there was an achiness to them - I feel an achiness in them, or maybe it's the glands pressing on something in my neck, I'm not really sure. But certainly worried.

The main hope I have is the fact that my strongest and most persistent symptoms are all so localized together. Ache in left ear, swollen left tonsil, swollen glands on left side of my neck. I don't have much anywhere else. I have read that with ARS swollen glands tend to be much more generalized.
I have reacureing spot on left or right uper but check almost on back. It is about the size of a quarter some times a little bigger. It starts out itchy. Then gets little swollen and red. Like a soar but it cause the muscles under and around the area to hurt ever to lightly rub one of the muscles hurts. It cause acheing around it to. It is not a brute red just a faint redish . You have a mild fever of about less than 102. Swollen lymph nodes swollen in your neck, headache. Headache and stiff neck are signs of it too. If you think you have Rubella (German measles) or any type of contagious disease you should contact your doctor. Advise them you may be contagious so they can tell you what to do so you won't infect others when you go in to see them.
About 8 months ago I discovered that my dog had swollen glands in her neck. I went to two different vets who took a sample of the cells on THREE different occassions and each time is came up "Suspicious" but not definative. After 1 day of antibiotics the swelling went down by about 75% however never fully reduced.
I notice again that the size has increased and she is not eating as normal and less active.

That said -sometimes you have more than one thing going on ( caught another illness that left your body susceptible to infection with herpes in the first place ). Hello. I'm becoming increasingly worried about swollen glands in my neck. The swelling is located on either side of my neck, roughly half an inch below the mastoid process (these might be the upper cervical lymph nodes but I'm not sure). They can't be seen, but when I feel my neck they feel hard. I've had them now for about three weeks. My only other symptoms: a slight sore throat that comes and goes, and a very infrequent cough.
They did eventually clear up all my symptoms and also the swelling in the neck throat glands and neck glands went away. Sortly after that about 2 weeks later I noticed I had swollen neck glands again but that only lasted a week then went away completely. Early decemeber I noticed my neck glands were swollen again. That followed by a dry throat and small cold that only lasted about 3 or 4 days those symptoms disappeared but my swollen neck glands continued to say.
hi, was reading all letters, god , i going through the hell at the moment, i lost my husband just 16 month ago, to the cancer, now i m so scared of everything.
She is not having any trouble drinking, eating or barking and is acting normal and is not squirming when we are feeling her neck to check the glands. This morning she is still swollen and I gave her another dose of benedryl but I am not sure what this could be caused by. Should we take her to the doctor to get antibiotics or see if the Benendryl takes it away completely? Has anyone heard of or experienced something similar with their dogs?

Post 15 days I developed sore throat, swollen glands behind the ears and on the neck (though it is not that visible), on an off headache, muscle pain behind the neck and little pain in the arm and I could feel the lymph glands under the skin a bit inflamed.
I went to a doctor, however did not mention about the sex with the call girl, doctor looking at the sore throat and swollen glands has given a dose of amoxicillin.
I went to the ENT, he felt everything and confirmed the gland in my neck was swollen (cervical node), and put a little tube through my nose to check my throat. Said he could see no sign of anything wrong, but he did prescribe amoxicillan for seven days in case of an infection. I took them, felt like I was getting slightly better, but then they seemed to stop working, and I have the same feelings. In addition to this, I have developed pain in my different areas of my throat.
I have 1 swollen gland on the left side of my neck.
