Avatar f tn Please, please keep an eye on this. If you develop any palpitations, trouble breathing (especially with mild exertion or when lying flat), nagging cough, fainting or near-fainting, crackly sounds when you breathe - get immediately to the ER. Whenever ladies mention a lot of swelling in late pregnancy or within the first few postpartum months, I recommend they get familiar with peripartum cardiomyopathy signs because knowing them can save your life. Hopefully, it's just pregnancy hormones.
Avatar m tn About three weeks ago I started having trouble breathing. Nothing too serious, just took more effort than a normal breath. The air would almost feel humid as it was breathed in. These episodes would vary between moderate and hardly noticeable. Another symptom was a feeling of swelling in a part of the throat (Voice box area), though they do not always come together. It seems that more recently it has become worse, and its making me nervous.

Avatar f tn About a month ago he began having severe trouble breathing even while being on the oxygen. He was in and out of the hospital a few times. Just last weekend his legs, feet, and stomach were swollen due to the retention of fluid. He went to the hospital and was told that the trouble breathing was a combination of anxiety and CHF. It has been a few days since he has been released and his legs, feet, and stomach are swollen again. He is also sick to his stomach.

Avatar n tn Hi Everyone, In Aug 2008 I had a Deviated Septum Nasal Surgery, I had all the common reaction with tons of bleeding for 1 - 2 weeks till my nose healed. I always felt even after surgery my nose felt stuff or swollen & I found myself having trouble breathing. Well this continues for a few months. On Sept 29th 2008 I spayed Afrin up my nose for the 1st time for 2 spays each & felt really high for a few seconds.
Avatar f tn I had the same trouble breathing and my ribs were sore to the touch. I used cool packs and biofreeze gel to help soothe the pain. It helped me to sleep with my arms above my head. The good news I am 32 weeks and about a week ago the baby dropped and all the breathing and rib trouble is gone:-). Good luck...hang in there...I know how awful you feel.
Avatar f tn Is your tongue swollen or having trouble breathing? Sounds like a sign of allergic reaction. It could also be preeclampsia. Go to your doc right away.
615166 tn?1282303497 My feet, ankles and lower legs tend to swell most days, especially if I'm up on my feet all day (at work for example). But the doctor isn't concerned. I puff up all day and piddle all night. Perhaps it's just my old blood vessels aren't working as well as they used to. Don't have varicose veins so who knows? I follow a low sodium diet just because it's the smart thing to do. Also learned more about it when my Dad was diagnosed with heart failure. Wanted to support him.
Avatar f tn Hi, I am trying to get some help. It all started at 16 wks pregnant (end of July). I felt like my heart was pounding and like a weight was sitting on my chest-somewhat short of breath. The ER sent me home bc they couldn't find anything wrong. Then two hrs. later they said I had a blood clot in my lung and to come back. So, I started on Lovenox shots for four months. I felt like no matter how much I breathed like I couldn't get enough air - I was constantly hyperventilating.
Avatar n tn Bigger belly, starting to get very uncomfortable, hard trouble breathing, more restroom breaks, Braxton hicks (maybe, I still haven't had any), dilation towards the end, more doctor appts, chance morning sickness comes back, heartburn, swollen feet, can't sleep, back aches, more rolls than kicks as baby gets bigger, and don't forget hemorrhoids!
Avatar f tn t hurt that bad so I kept playing again. Since then it has been ranging from swollen to severely swollen depending on the day. I finally went to our AT and she did several evaluations on it and said that I was ok. It is still swelling and becoming worse and worse and hurts more and more to put pressure on it. Second, I got hit by a line drive on my right foot in a game on a friday. I went to the ER and they took Xrays but said there was no break but there may still be a fracture.
